My father picked this Colt Woodsman up somewhere. It had a busted stock. He made these stocks out of a piece of scrap walnut he had lying around. I told him he did a great job on the stocks (Colts don't have grips), I guess he remembered, and later gave it to me as a birthday present. As you can see, he put a lot of work into them.2 points

A call for violence is not, and should not be protected speech; it is a crime. Start putting these dirt bags in jail.2 points

This Ruger Super Blackhawk belonged to my son-in-law, Mike Vick. His dad had bought the gun while he was in the Marine Corps. When Mike got old enough, his Dad gave him the gun. Mike read an article in a gun magazine featuring a 5" Super Blackhawk, written by Lee Jurras. Mike had the barrel cut back to 5" but did not have the gun ported. In July of 1979, Mike was killed in a car wreck, and a couple of weeks after the funeral, my daughter gave the gun to me. For awhile I dressed up the gun with some stag grips from Eagle Grips: But, after a number of years, it needed some improvements, so I sent the gun off to Dave Clements who did considerable work on the gun, and I replaced those stags with rosewood, from Lett Grips: This remains one of my favorite guns, and its round count is just over 17,000 rounds fired through it. Two possibly speculations, one, the back the magwell has a ramp or guide, that allows the magazine to be 'rocked' in like an AKM magazine, or a more likely one, as the IDF has yet to ever specify a single sidearm, it very clearly denotes what firearm the magazine fits.1 point

Two things: 1) I haven't had to use it, but I have NRA Carry Guard (currently.) I will change to USCCA because I found out that Carry Guard only advances a small amount toward your defense. They don't pay, if you are not acquitted, so no shot at accepting a lesser charge (see #2.) Carry Guard, and others don't pay for non-lethal defense like pepper spray, which is a good idea to have (see #2,) or taser. You can rely on USCCA, or Carry Guard or other insurer for a lawyer referral, but I think USCCA is better than Carry Guard in this, too. 2) I am really happy to have bought "The Law of Self Defense" 3rd Edition. It's only $9.99 on Kindle. I also bought the DVDs. The author does a great job of explaining the 5 elements of a self defense case. He also does a great job of what to say to which parties. You would say only so much to 911, only exculpatory things on scene and almost nothing to detectives (without an attorney,) and why. The 3rd Edition book lists case and jury instructions for each state. And, a level 2 dvd can be purchased for each state. Branca lists some and talks about other cases where the prosecution, judge or other was just out to get someone. He talks about the fact that everything can go right, and you may still be convicted (it has happened.) I have become much more aware of the need to make sure I am prepared in every way .... from attending IDPA matches to staying up to date with legal cases thru Branca's web presence. Do yourself a huge favor, and research "The Law of Self Defense."1 point

There might be some sparse demonstrations, maybe a window at a Starbucks gets broken.... However, I believe they're going to scream hopelessly into the sky on the 8th, that should be entertaining....Losers.1 point

I thought today was supposed to be the start of their nationwide hissy fit to remove The President and Vice. I haven't read any news on their movement. I even looked at CNN and managed to not have my head implode reading those headlines. Perhaps they aren't getting paid enough or realize they are merely guppies in an ocean. I am disappointed. I was hoping they would get a few life lessons today.1 point

It's not protected. Conspiracy to commit assault etc. , incitement to riot, etc. I'd say start locking THEM in the FEMA camps, but then my blood would start up and say to shove em in there butt nekkid and shelterless, and forget to feed them. Which is scary. One does not reduce the hazard of rabid animals by acting as they do, not without the real possibility of becoming one permanently.1 point

Double checked most things this evening and triple checked a few others. Really excited to get out even if it’s warmer than I wanted. Still cooler than the last time I bow hunted so I’m happy. Stayed completely out of my hunting spot for last two weeks to let everything calm down and man was it hard to do that. Took off all next week to hunt and looking forward to the cool down coming Wednesday. Good luck everyone!1 point

Am I alone in noticing the classified sections here have recently had a noticeable uptick in the quality of items for sale? I'm really working hard at sending kids to college and saving for retirement, but some of you are killing me!!!1 point

As to the general uptick in traffic in the classifieds... Yep, I've noticed it too. I've participated in it lately. I think we can ultimately thank the fact that good deals are to be had on the primary (new) market, and as a result folks are moving things around on the secondary (used) market to fund those new purchases. Capitalism at work. Gotta love it!1 point

I usually go at least every other weekend to either, N Range or The Gun Room. This is yesterday, 17 rounds with a G19 at 10 yards. I shot roughly 200 rounds all together.1 point

From the article, antifa: The organization models itself after the so-called Rojava Revolution, a leftist guerilla movement currently active in northern Syria. RAM states that the communists offer a “foundation in communal and council based political organization and militant defense.” White nationalists: Traditionalist Worker Party. Both communist groups. Useful idiots being used for their hate and steered towards their cause. All I know is conservatives aren't communists. Its part of the coward piven strategy if you ask me. Drummed up chaos by the left to try to disrupt the life long democrat now republican President Trump so they can finish their takeover of what's left of our republic. http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-world/national/article86317537.html http://www.teapartyconnect.com/102/the-cloward-piven-strategy-explained/ useful idiots!1 point

Extremist groups need to go at it with each other...you know like Shiites and Sunnis. We should fly them out to a remote piece of desert and arm them to the teeth and make it clear no one comes out without a clear cut victory.1 point

One side hates black people while the other side hates white people. The common denominator I find is hate.1 point
