In all fairness to Comcast; they don’t have any competition. They also have government protections. That’s how they get by with the worst customers service in the industry and doing whatever they want. If competition was allowed Comcast would have to drop their prices. And if they did drop their prices to reasonable rates Direct, Dish, AT&T and all the rest would be gone because everyone would be on Comcast. I’ll have to get something else when I retire; I been a Comcast customer pretty much since they started. Of course they won’t care about that; they are more interested in giving deals to new customers than taking care of the ones that put them where they are.3 points

Look/ask for the little 6-8oz bottles. It's a good way to sample without blowing $100 on something you don't like.3 points

Well I finally went and done it. I had narrowed my selection process down and I had gotten to the point where I was still trying to decide between Sig and Beretta. I've owned a Sig here and there throughout the last several years, and I already know that I like Beretta. So.............I ran across this here Sig M11-A1 last week. Went ahead and jumped on it. Wasn't sure how I'd like it. Someone suggested that the 229 platform would be better for concealment. That's true if you're talking about hiding barrel length. However, I've been carrying my son's 92FS lately and have been loving it, and had not problems with concealment. In fact, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed them. So I laid the M11 atop the 92FS and whaddaya know, the 229 frame ain't a bit more concealable in the BUTT-TOX area! Maybe 1/8 inch difference (more or less). Overall thickness between the two is pretty close (no, I didn't break out the calipers). I took it out to run a few rounds through it Saturday afternoon at my friend's range. Using my highly scientific testing methods at a precisely measured range of somewhere around 30-35 yards, I discovered that the M11 is at least consistently minute of bouncing tin can accurate, as well as minute of stick. Not bad. Having owned both on several occasions during my life, some observations: Lots of folks become extremely enamored with Sig, praising Sig's quality over all others and such. I do believe that the quality is there, but I do NOT believe that there is two-farts-in-an-outhouse worth of difference in quality between Sig and Beretta. I do like Sig's short reset trigger on this M11. This is the first time I've experience the SRT and it is satisfactory. But I believe that the reset can be improved on the 92FS with Wilson's trigger bar. I don't have a shot timer, so I can't really tell if there's any difference in my "speed o' shots" between Beretta and Sig. But I'm not competing against Jerry Miculek or Earnest Langdon anyway. I do like Sig's decocker over Beretta's safety/decocker system. For me, a Wilson low profile single side lever solves that problem though. I happen to be one of the folks who really likes Beretta's locking block system and direct feed from the magazine. But I can say that this M11 locks up tighter'n a Swiss bank vault. Good job on the manufacturing. Accuracy? I can't speak to the mechanical accuracy of the two, but can only say that I am more accurate with the 92FS. Could be because I'm not used to the M11 yet. Grip: The 92 seems to nestle into my hand better, but I may try the E2 grip on the M11. So, in a strictly controlled environment of "outside" and using my highly scientific testing methods which I am certain will garner the accolades of the "experts" and the OCD crowd (if nothing else, I can keep the jerks busy on their mission to disprove everything I've said), I have reached some conclusions (simply my own non-expert opinion)(not that anyone would listen to me anyway): Beretta needs to quit being bull-headed and start producing a two tone 92G Centurion. Even if it's just for me! Short of that, I might let this thing go (unless my son decides he wants it)(why not, my boys have all my others), save up some more to go with it, and finally buy my dream gun - a Wilson 92 Brigadier (and contrary to what seems to be the norm, actually use it). Or at least get back on course and get a Brigadier Inox. So if you, like probably nobody else, have enjoyed this well written and professional gun review, feel free to let me know. Now that cooler weather has arrived, I just may start doing a once-a-month gun review. And, as expected, never tell anyone about them.2 points

Several manufacturers added new production lines and expanded factories in order to catch up with .22 production during the shortage. That ain't cheap. I seriously doubt we'll see any reduction in prices as they have to pay for their expansion. And, as mentioned, we will pay their price. The days of cheap .22s is gone. On the other side, I believe that current .22 ammo isn't as good as it used to be. In their hurry to catch up, I believe that quality control has suffered. I'm seeing many more misfires and random flyers out of current production ammo than I used to. It appears that we now pay more for less.2 points

I had the opportunity to use kiosk last week and I am impressed! I was in and out and less then 10 minutes. Whereas before, it would take 45 minutes to an hour to manually complete the paperwork.2 points

Do you have a taste for scotch? If not I would try to sample some at a bar before you pick up a whole bottle. The Scotch influence is all over Japanese Whiskey.2 points

This is a good middle of the road whiskey. Pretty good for only $40 Hibiki is a little more expensive but has a really strong smoke/oak flavor. To strong for my liking. Yamazake is really good. Couple of drops of water really open this one up. It is usually over $100 but I like it. Has a good smokey/oak flavor but not over powering like the Hibiki. Made from 3/16" thick 1095 carbon steel differentially heat treated to show a hamon. IPE contoured handles for a great fit with mosaic pins...this thing is a beast.1 point

I don't really know what kind of discussion this will generate, but this article by Peter Lucier is one of the most powerful things I've read in some time: https://wp.nyu.edu/therevealer/2017/09/08/not-your-messiah/1 point

My wife just went through the process. Costs were as I recollect... $50-$75 for safety class. She found a Group on coupon that saved some. It was for Shooters Depot in Chattanooga. Course cost was I think $50 after the discount. $100 at DMV after the safety class paid at DMV when they take your photo. They will also set up an appt for you at a fingerprint vendor. In her case it was a ups store. Now the wait... let me know if you have questions. I'll try to help.1 point

I agree that using the monitoring service offered by the hacked company doesn't make the most sense. I'm not signing up for it, would never trust it. I keep a close eye on our various accounts and credit through Credit Karma but think I am going to check on LifeLock or similar services after this hack.1 point

I think that just changed. Equifax has removed a clause from the Terms of Use section of the website set up to help victims of the company’s data breach that previously barred victims from suing Equifax if they used the company’s services. http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2017/09/12/equifax-removes-clause-barring-data-breach-victims-from-suing-if-they-use-companys-help/1 point

$10K cool? I don’t think so. I thought the same thing as Grayfox; one picture? It also says there are authentications letters; but it doesn’t say there is one with that gun. He also has three $100K Holland & Holland Rifles rifles in case anyone needs one.1 point

Because the entire point of the weekend was remembering those fallen and trying to understand just a little of what our 5th Special Forces Group brothers and their families go through, I'm taking a different tack with the match videos this time. It is beyond difficult to try to summarize in a few short minutes the amazing and humbling experiences of this weekend, but this is my effort so others may try to understand. I was on night shift back then on patrol. I remember after Bush ordered no flights , I was on patrol out where there were no street lights. I got out of my car and looked up and it was so weird to not see any aircraft lights at all in the night sky. Also it was cool to see an Apache and a Kiowa both taking turns hovering over the gates of Ft. Campbell . I was eating at Arbys right near gate 4 and was watching them go back and forth. Those next days I brought extra ammo and extra guns to what I already carried. I thought for sure that Ft. Campbell would get hit but thank God it didn't. Our city is right there with Ft. Campbell.1 point

I believe those were called punt guns. A market hunter, in a small boat with the "shotgun" muzzle resting in the bow of the boat, would float up towards a flock of water fowl floating on the water and kill many with one shot.1 point

Back to normal would be a more appropriate way to describe today's gun industry.1 point

I think it's ironic that we can buy smokes and booze in other states and bring them right back home, but can't do the same with the OTHER things that the BATFE regulates. "Freedom"1 point

I’m kicking around the idea of a PCP air rifle, so I’m bumping this back up for 2017.1 point
