  1. This is my most recent acquisition, and one I have been looking for pretty consistently for a while! And as if finally finding one wasn't enough, it shoots lights out! Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  2. For some odd reason lately I've had a hankering for a S&W revolver chambered in the mighty .32 S&W Long. Scratched that itch today at the gun show with this pristine example. Think it was made around '68 or '69 and appears unfired outside of the factory. Even had the original manual and registration card in the box.

  3. Check this out. Pretty cool. Once again, capitalism and the private sector prove that they can do anything the Government can do, faster and cheaper. Without rule changes, regulation amendments, politicians or legislation, a partnership between the U.S. government and a small private industry group has dramatically changed the process in which National Firearms Act (NFA) controlled items are transferred between individuals and entities. There is now a system in place within the BATFE’s NFA Division, that will allow nearly everyone who files a Form 4 to transfer controlled items, such as silencers, a genuine chance at receiving approved forms in a few short months. Alongside the ATF, three silencer industry stalwarts spearheaded the best modernization of the registry in 83 years: Dead Air Armament, GEMTECH and Silencer Shop. The goal is to have wait times down to a fraction of current levels. Read more here: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/08/18/nfa-process-modernized/

  4. Once upon a time - even in the Obama years - Jeff Meister gave me a call with 5 approved Form 4s that had gone door to door in 41 days. With the computer submission that we use today there is zero reason they couldn't do it same day if they wanted to.

  5. Can we talk about football, guns, or some other manly stuff, instead of one ball passing in front of another?

  6. Nope, Mosin Nagant refers solely to the rifle as well. The revolver is simply the Nagant ... It might be rare, but the Finns did just this ...

  7. You probably want to lap the rings on that one. Worth it for real good glass.

  8. Wow! This was a tragedy of epic proportions because of what happened to the survivors with the damn sharks.

  9. Everything that needs to be said has been said. Despite the Memphis jokes it's really not that bad.

  11. If you want BBQ ribs, then you're not getting them at Rendezvous, they don't serve them. They serve seasoned, chargrilled ribs. It's not the same thing. I second Central, or my favorite, The BBQ Shop over on Madison. Like anywhere in Memphis, CY is hood-adjacent. Good area, great food, relax and enjoy yourself.

  13. I was in the class in which both Gabe White and Manny Bragg shot perfect scores, only the third and fourth times that has been done. Gabe actually shot his from concealment, the only time that has been done. Here is a link to my review.

  16. Cooper-Young is a very hip, trendy part of town with lots of bars and restaurants. It is considered part of Midtown and as they say down there "Midtown is Memphis". The houses are older and I personally would not have a problem staying in one for the weekend if it was a nice one. Many of the houses in that area are rentals and somewhat rundown so know what you're getting into. One the other hand, many are nice and well maintained. The closer to the intersection of Cooper and Young the better off you are. It gets sketchier as you move out from that centerpoint, especially to the south towards Southern Ave. Every type of person you can imagine lives and hangs out down there, so it's kind of interesting if you're into people watching while sitting outside having a beverage. Do not be surprised if you hear gun shots at night. It is also directly under one of the major flyways into the airport so there is jet traffic constantly (think FedEx). CY is one of those parts of Memphis that is "on the border" of some really rough parts of town (to the south and a bit to the west south of the railroad tracks) but I think that district is fairly safe, again close to the center. Kinda hard to explain, but it's a Memphis thing. It's close enough to downtown that you can be there in about 15 minutes. I actually grew up a little over a mile from there in Central Gardens, an area that has not changed one bit it at least 50 years....except all the houses are now ridiculously priced.

  17. A CEO with a seven figure salary is outrageous. A kid dropping 5.8 Mil on a ranch is cool.
