Have a tag for Montana this late fall, Old Man Hunt mid November. Outfitter asked what I shot, I replied 7mm Rm Mag. He asked if I had something bigger, I replied no and why. He said bears hear a shot at that time of year, they hear a dinner bell in its place. I have built a .338-06 AI on Savage donor, 24" PacNor barrel: Parent Round on left, fireformed on right: 50 rounds of fireforming, 200 gr. Speer, Reloader 15, taking no particular care for other than sighting in and getting fireformed cases:2 points

More proof that liberals shouldn't be in charge of ANYTHING! They need to be held personally accountable. Meanwhile, I'd bet not a single criminal has been stopped except of course the left is making criminals so they would count those. The reality is they have the inability to see reality.2 points

Picked this up from my local FFL today... CZ P-07 Gen 2 I was pleasantly surprised to find that it also came with the new CZ P-10C compatible magazines with the ambidextrous mag release notch in the front of the tube, and the red followers.1 point

Hard to say they aren't making a great rep for themselves in the American market at the moment. As long as CZ can keep producing quality firearms, I think they'll have lots of repeat business.1 point

This is the very first handgun I ever purchased. Shot 100% in my handgun carry class with the gun. This handgun is very accurate.1 point

I am amused when I see or hear people talk about hunting pen raised birds, about how much fun they are to shoot. If you have ever experienced hunting wild quail, pen raised birds are laughable. I have watched TV shows where they basically have to kick the bird out of its cover to get it to fly. That is NOT quail hunting! I wonder if all of the "plantations" down in South Georgia have pen raised birds? Or maybe if some of them still have some wild birds? I know they are very expensive and I have always assumed they just cater to people who can afford to pay high prices to "simulate" quail hunting.1 point

I just finished a set of solar filters for my binoculars. My wife teaches high school special ed & is going to take them with her Monday for the class to use. I have a bunch of left over solar material I bought before the Venus transit a few years ago so I picked up some plumbing fittings & let my inner nerd flow. The look funny, but work really well. We're supposed to have .99 magnitude here so it looks like I won't get to witness or photograph the corona, but hopefully the weather will be clear enough to still see a good show.1 point

In an AK type weapon, the difference between the 2 is pretty much non existent. I would be surprised if the difference was more the .0015 of an inch. Excessive head space in any center fire firearms starts at about .007-.008 thousandths. The CIP, from what I'v just read is cut to give slightly less head space. In a target gun, that would be the way to go. in a SHTF hi cap weapon that may have to eat a varied diet of may be not so desirably clean ammo, the slightly bigger headspace gap would be preferable. But again, that's really needle dicking the subject. Good luck on the build.1 point

There are some states that have laws that make zero sense but they use them for their own control of people living in that state and then there are states that have laws to protect the people that live in said state from stuff just like this. I'm glad I live in this one and none of those listen in that report..................JMHO1 point

If you remember the first season, Jon very much got burned by the oil lamp he had to grab and throw onto the wight. Part of Dany's is she never felt the burning of the hot dragon eggs in Season 1. In the books, they explain that not all Targaryen's are immune to fire, but some were.1 point

Nice specimen there... I like carrying my 29 on weekends, especially up at the farm. I think I actually like shooting it a bit more than the 20. Eventually going to round out the family with the 40. I don't need one but I sure do want one Mark1 point

If anyone has the time, the books that the show was created from are fantastic. They've have to make some changes for television adaptation of course, and as of last season, they're officially ahead of the books storylines, but the TV show has kept true to them instead of just paying to have the characters and back stories to play around with. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk. OhShoot very much likes to know when we're using Tapatalk.1 point

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/08/16/ny-police-seize-veterans-guns-after-order-deems-him-wrongfully-as-mentally-defective.html Don Hall and his girlfriend were sitting in their living room earlier this year when they noticed police lights flashing outside the couple’s upstate New York home. When the 70-year-old Army veteran greeted Oneida County sheriff’s deputies he was given a document saying that Hall had to hand over his six guns – four long guns and two pistols -- to law enforcement because he had been deemed “mentally defective.” The so-called SAFE Act, which was implemented in 2013 in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Connecticut, includes a provision that allows heath care providers to report patients that they think may be a risk to themselves or others. In Hall’s case, however, the sheriff’s deputies were wrong. He hadn’t triggered an order under the SAFE Act. Read more.0 points
