Wendy's has the best trolling game in the fast food industry but Glock might give them a run for their money. That's brilliant.3 points

I think whomever runs Glock has been hanging out with Wendy. That's legit from their FB page. I took the screen cap myself.3 points

Don't stand for that, whenever I don't answer myself I stomp off and go buy a gun, that will show me.3 points

I think there are two ways to enjoy this event: 1) Get glasses. Stare at the sun. Through the glasses, you'll see a green disk, the sun. Then you'll see an almost same-size black disc (the moon) coming in starting to cover the sun. If you're in the path of total eclipse, you'll eventually see the green disc blotted out, with the suns corona glowing around it. Then the black disc moves out again, and you'll return to seeing a green disk. Or you could really enjoy it this way: 2) Don't get glasses. Don't look at the sun. Instead, look at your surroundings, especially the horizon to the west. When the moon starts to cover the sun, you should see the sky darkening in a spectacular fashion. Like a giant dark shadow that is moving from west to east. It will probably be like a sunset in the west, with near normal sky in the east. It will intensify and engulf the whole sky at point of totality. I think what will happen is hard to express in words. It will get dark like the dark sky right after sunset and stars begin to be visible. When the moon moves on, the darkness will continue to exist in the east, but from the west the sky will begin to brighten again, until you'll see the shadow leave to the east and normal daylight will return. I'd rather enjoy the colors of the sky, the strangeness of shadow, and experience it like countless of people throughout human history than by keeping glasses on and focusing just on the sun. If you want to wear glasses, make sure you take a few moments here and there and take the glasses off and look around you (not at the sun). A good description on what to expect can be found here: http://www.eclipse2017.org/2017/what_you_see.htm2 points

That would work for my heathen, not my wife. To tell my heathen that I am giving her a pair of Glock 19s, she would be thrilled. My wife, pissed that I spend $800 on guns, instead of Harry Potter memorabilia. I mean, who the eff is Harry Potter?!2 points

It really pisses my wife off though. I have learned that if I buy similar looking ones she doesn't catch on. I mean, all Glocks looks the same, right?2 points

I am with you on this one. I had zero, and I mean ZERO, problems out of my P320 but I also never dropped it on concrete or whacked it on the back of the slide with a hammer while it was loaded. But this is apparently too easy to reproduce, repeatedly, which indicates that we shouldn't casually dismiss the potential that something is wrong with the design. However! Sig has a lot riding on the P320 and, as was already pointed out in this thread, is doing the right thing and issuing a voluntary recall. They will correct the problem. They have too much at stake not to.2 points

No one has qualified for a free cruise? 3 last week. I too am on the lam from the IRS, my agent who left the message did not have an American accent. 75% of all data breach / identity theft situations are from social engineering. Phishing via phone text, email Don't click on that link, button, email unless you are sure of the sender!2 points

Just to let you know I'm here to help a brother out. So pack up evrything that survived the boating accident and I will pick up ASAP. You need not to give the Feds any cause to tack on additional charges when you get that zero dark thirty wake up call. I will be sure and keep them exercised, maintained, safe and secure in the unfortunate event it turns into an extended stay.2 points

This has been around for a while. Used to be on a server in Holland but the owner took it down as it got so much traffic it was costing him money. I wrote him asking for it and he gave it to me. You might get a kick out of this. http://stevespages.com/piraat.html1 point

What kind of set up do you have on the front rails? I've been looking at the omega 9k pretty hard, if you're thinking of putting a suppressor on it you should check it out. Congrats!1 point

Someone brought up a very good point on another forum. Sig came out with a fix for this issue within days of it becoming public. Something tells me they have known about this issue for a lot longer than a few days.1 point

You get it, other than the fact it's going to be cloudy and/or rainy.1 point

Thye probably get kick backs from the City for calling them because the TSA is in fact a Federal Security Agency and can make the decision with out contacting anyone. But then of Course "IT IS NEW YORK" we are talking about..............jmho1 point

Can't really blame them. It's a marketing coup for other manufacturers and is going to take Sig a mighty long time to live this down, if they ever do. I imagine Sig's engineers will get no sleep between now and next Monday. They need to come up with something revolutionary or just stick a Glock trigger in the thing.1 point

Welcome to TGO and I hope your problem gets resolved. If it were mine I would ship back to TC. Wow, the name Gary Reeder took me back in time. I can remember back in the late 70's and early 80's when he was a regular at one of my local gun shops. He was a Tennessee resident back then before he moved to Arizona. I see he's still churning out Custom guns. I recall he had one of his early custom pistols for sale at the local gun shop listed as the Gary Reeder BMF. I'm sure you can guess what BMF stood for. Even though he doesn't use the BMF term now I see he's making even bigger custom BMF pistols in all of his custom wildcat cartridges.1 point

Well...I guess I better put my illegal affairs in order and say goodbye to all my friends and family. I just received a message that I was under indictment for tax evasion and was about to be arrested. But... If I called this number, 203-491-3062, immediately; I could get it resolved. lol Looks like it has started again. That's the 3rd one I've gotten this year. Can't believe I'm still here.1 point

How in the world in 2017 does a manufacturer design and build a production gun that fails a drop test? W. Edwards Deming must be rolling in his grave.1 point

First of all, welcome to the group. We pulled into your beautiful town back in '68 or '69 for liberty. I think the whole town turned out to see the submarine tied up to the dock at your local lumber yard. Without a doubt, it was one of the nicest and warmest welcomes we ever had. We were really surprised when the town provided the beer for the "Beer Ballgame" in the form of a beer delivery truck (we couldn't empty it). The game started out as us vs. the town but as people started falling out, anyone that was sober enough just filled in on which ever team needed a player.1 point

Welcome to TN. One of my wife's cousins has a big farm near Dunlap and was trying to develop some quail. They have a big dove hunt there every year. We were just target shooting in one of the fields and he said... "If you shoot the cows or quail, I'll shoot you. If you don't shoot the coyotes, I'll shoot you. Anything else is between you and the game warden."1 point

I'm not sure we should dismiss this so quickly. They even offered up some potential solutions for Sig based on their findings. In the meantime, let the meme wars commence.1 point

1. Why? They aren't firearms. They are an accessory and should be treated as such. 2. No one is needing the government to solve it. We need the government out of it. You are backwards.1 point

My father has tried to reestablish a quail population on his land near Manchester; he's worked with Quail Unlimited and started a couple of coveys that are around for a year or two and then disappear. We don't know if they move away or are all killed off -- we aren't hunting them. Dad's too old to work on a project like this any more so I guess it will eventually fall to me or else it will be abandoned. It's too bad that quail hunting has about died out across the South. Some of my most enjoyable memories of the outdoor sports involve quail hunting.1 point

I asked a friend if I could show his 1946 Remington 513T Matchmaster .22 with made in Japan vintage Tasco 6-18 by 40mm target scope. He sent me that picture and a Remington branded BB gun, likely made by Crosman, with a cheap Taiwanese Tasco telescope he put together for an April Fools day joke a few years ago. The 513T is a nice shooting setup and draws a lot of attention at the range.1 point
