Well...I guess I better put my illegal affairs in order and say goodbye to all my friends and family. I just received a message that I was under indictment for tax evasion and was about to be arrested. But... If I called this number, 203-491-3062, immediately; I could get it resolved. lol Looks like it has started again. That's the 3rd one I've gotten this year. Can't believe I'm still here.8 points

This has been around for a while. Used to be on a server in Holland but the owner took it down as it got so much traffic it was costing him money. I wrote him asking for it and he gave it to me. You might get a kick out of this. http://stevespages.com/piraat.html6 points

People are already doing that here... Burgers? I'm gonna load up my lawnmower trailer with cold beers and sell to all the folks parked on the side of the road.3 points

Well they will never get to talk to me cause if my phone does not put a name up I recognize it goes to voice mail..................3 points

I will go to my dentist appontment that morning, then on to work. At the appropriate time I'll step outside for a couple of minutes and say "ooh, look" It's pretty cool and all, but to stop the world and cancel school as Knox County and many other ET districts have done, no. It's gotten beyond absurd. I'd love to be optomitrist on August 22nd. They'll make an entire year that day.2 points

looks like the Chinese glasses are making their rounds. A business in Mt. Juliet was selling them and have now discovered they are not approved. Woops.2 points

Set up the grill and sell hamburgers and hot dogs. Bet you could make enough for a new gun.2 points

That is when they use mass dialers. The computer dials 10 lines or something and the first one to pick up gets connected to the person. all the others get dropped.2 points

The ones I hate are the ones spoofing local cell numbers. I get them all the time and with my kids at friends houses and such it makes me wonder if something has gone on and their phone is dead. If you call the number back it is invalid though.2 points

Welcome to TN. One of my wife's cousins has a big farm near Dunlap and was trying to develop some quail. They have a big dove hunt there every year. We were just target shooting in one of the fields and he said... "If you shoot the cows or quail, I'll shoot you. If you don't shoot the coyotes, I'll shoot you. Anything else is between you and the game warden."2 points

I'm not sure we should dismiss this so quickly. They even offered up some potential solutions for Sig based on their findings. In the meantime, let the meme wars commence.2 points

I get where you're coming from, but they don't need to be involved. Next thing you know they'll be the ATF proxy making bull#### rules for "safety reasons."2 points
-
1. Why? They aren't firearms. They are an accessory and should be treated as such. 2. No one is needing the government to solve it. We need the government out of it. You are backwards.2 points

I am with you on this one. I had zero, and I mean ZERO, problems out of my P320 but I also never dropped it on concrete or whacked it on the back of the slide with a hammer while it was loaded. But this is apparently too easy to reproduce, repeatedly, which indicates that we shouldn't casually dismiss the potential that something is wrong with the design. However! Sig has a lot riding on the P320 and, as was already pointed out in this thread, is doing the right thing and issuing a voluntary recall. They will correct the problem. They have too much at stake not to.1 point

Yeah I was curious on how that is going to work cause you know the chinese knock-offs are just going to stamp that they are ISO certified and everyone will believe it.1 point

Just to let you know I'm here to help a brother out. So pack up evrything that survived the boating accident and I will pick up ASAP. You need not to give the Feds any cause to tack on additional charges when you get that zero dark thirty wake up call. I will be sure and keep them exercised, maintained, safe and secure in the unfortunate event it turns into an extended stay.1 point

Fortunately for me, both back yards are in the 100% footprint. Won't have to deal with traffic1 point

I could park 15 cars in my parking area in front of my house and they could go out it my back yard and have a great view of the eclipse. I'm just not much on having strangers in my driveway much less my back yard..................1 point

Glad you find StevesPages useful! I also hope to spend some time here, though sometimes it's spotty with the demands of my business. You know when you run your own deal you get to be marketing, design, manufacturing, legal, and even janitor! lol1 point

Donation made. I normally save it for the fuzzy ones, but you have been kind in the past and donated when we had The Blacklist Pups fund raiser so let's make it even for Karma's sake? This also might mean you need to take my current foster cat. Just kidding, she has a home she will go to after she is spayed. There are a lot of generous men on here. Monkey and I had a talk about that last night. My current fund raiser for my rescue is at an impasse and I said to him, "You know what blows my mind? A bunch of "mean, gun toting, gun loving men" are the ones who helped us save those dogs." I am shocked that the people I consider closest friends are ones who don't donate or share this. If you are a member on Facebook I would post it on there and spread it around as well. I hope your friend gets better soon!1 point

Yes...a 1956 JC Higgins .22 Single Shot Model 103 I think. My Dad bought it for me for my 7th birthday from Sears & Roebuck. It was and still is an amazingly accurate little rifle.1 point

I know it's not Triple K, but that company has been in the leather business in San Diego since 1946. I bet someone there knows what it is and who GLT was.1 point

Add one more part to this good description. There is a single stack adapter for the double stack maglula: "Butler Creek "Maglula 1911 loader Insert For The UpLULA & 22UpLULA - 1911AI". It works well on Sig P938 and HiPoint singles. Saves hands with arthritis. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Maglula-1911AI-Aligner-Insert-for-UpLULA-22UpLULA-Pistol-Mag-Loaders-UP65G-/361988041355?epid=1825217683&hash=item54482b2a8b:g:AhQAAOSwjL5ZJFPM1 point

Nope, its a lie supposedly created by some Glock super fanboy who's still pissed that Sig got the Army contract. I've seen this on a couple of other sites. Do a little searching and the truth comes to light.1 point

I scored 680 rounds of 5.45 from Academy Sports for less than $0.12 per round with tax. Every bit counts, right? Finding 5 sealed tins of surplus 7.62x54r for $110 a pop was the icing on the cake today.1 point

Exactly right. A can should be an accessory. No different than a rail mounted laser, flashlight, muzzle brake, flash hider, red dot, scope, BUIS, etc...1 point

Only shade #14 is dark enough for solar viewing. That's the darkest welding glass available. Anything less is not dark enough. And stacking doesn't work. Two layers of #7 does not make #14 glass.1 point

A rainout on that day would be quite comical. The moon passes in front of the sun. Big deal. It'll be on T.V.1 point
-
With all they hype I predict it will be rainy and cloudy the entire day. As far as glasses go, if you absolutely must stare at the Sun, make sure they are made by American Paper Optics, a Memphis company that produces zillions of glasses for special occasions every year.1 point

Picked up a 686-5 2 1/2" snub at the Crossville gun show Saturday. Added the stocks as I had a pair that needed a home. Saw this one walking around, other than that, was not impressed. I did play with the new 870 Tactical 14, it was pretty sweet. They weren't dealing so I'll probably get one off GB.1 point

As the owner of Steve's Pages what can I do to help to make sure that resource is always available? I use it several times a week and it is an amazing resource, both for shooters and non shooters alike. The amount of information Steve put together on his website is staggering. And if you would like to add I have digital copies of owner's manuals and schematics for pretty much every firearm made in the last 100 years. I will gladly mail you a CD or thumbdrive for you to add to the website. When Steve passed and the website went down I got sick at the thought of all that information being lost. I am so glad you resurrected it.1 point
