Rent a tile saw. My wife and I have done A LOT of tile and we always used snipes and grinders. We decided to splurge on the last one and rent a tile saw, best money we ever spent. Paid for itself with pieces that didn't randomly break in the wrong place. Also, lay out every single tile you can to look for problems before gluing them down. And start out as close as you can to the middle, instead of against a wall, otherwise it will look skewed by the time you get to the other wall. We ALWAYS have at least a box worth of bits and pieces left over so plan accordingly. And one more thing, check lot numbers so they are the same pattern and shade. If you cannot get the same lot number then unbox every box and mix the tile up before you start.3 points

Watch a few episodes of The Red Green Show, and you'll be able to do it yourself. If women don't find ya handsome, they should at least find ya handy!2 points

Everyone's body chemistry is different. I'm sure vaccines cause adverse reactions in a very small percentage of people. Going on a crusade to stop all vaccinations because 1% or less develop some condition that might be related to the vaccine just doesn't pass the smell test.2 points

The latest video I've seen (as of Aug 3, 2017) on the Hudson H9. Plenty of good overview in here from the company including some really close-up views of the gun. I've got to say that the included Trijicon HD sights, three mags, G10 grip panels, Hogue backstrap and black nitrided stainless steel construction make for a compelling reason to open up my wallet and pay the $1147 MSRP they're asking. I've paid more than that for lesser guns!1 point

Yep. I had to "negotiate" with my insurance company on the auto policy earlier this year. Apparently everyone in TN is getting jacked this year due to the trash that drives w/o insurance and causes the most problems. Regardless, insurance companies are a bunch of damn greedy bastards.1 point

so apparently the mystery gun I got was a tristar raptor. It goes bang, that's about the only thing I could tell you at this point. Don't expect much from a $300 shotgun anyways lol1 point

As much as it pains me to say this, a ticket quota for a cop is no different than one of us being required to repair 100 widgets a week at work, or whatever we do. I never complain about getting tickets for speeding or parking (that BS incident from 2011 was the only time in my life I've had an issue with tickets). It's stupid to even argue with the police over them, for the most part they don't randomly pick a car and go pursue it to charge them with something.. and as a regular speeder, I figured that one ticket @ $100 or whatever they are now every few years is well worth the time it saves me over those years.1 point

If you're budget is large then look into a Krieghoff K80. Shot trap and skeet with them. In my opinion can't go wrong with tuned loads for light recoil. Great handling shotguns.1 point

I say string up the judge for turning the S&W in for $100 gift card. And it was his Dad's gun...... Everyone knows you only turn in old broken .22s and throw a way guns to these buybacks.1 point

I, not the company, tend to be of the opinion that it is precisely a diversionary bill. I am hopeful that the intent of the diversion is to say "Hey anti-gunners, we can make this a lot "worse" than the HPA, so fall in line!". But hope in one hand and..., well you know.1 point

They are probably Knoxville's oldest and most reputable tile company. Been in business since 1910.1 point

Not purchased, but traded for from another TGO'er. CommsNbombs would be proud. I plan on disarming North Korea in the near future with it, by myself.1 point

Most cops I know don't have a problem talking about them. We had quotas. They called them "acceptable standards". They were 100 tickets a month for a traffic Officer and 10 a month for a District Officer. Most Traffic Officers wrote far more than that, District Officers was a toss up, some wrote more some wrote hardly any.1 point

Added another target to my hill side. Rated for handguns up to .45. Not suppose to be used for .22 because it will not swing and could come back at the shooter and center fire rifles because too much power. http://vikingsl.com/portfolio/viking-pistol-target/ I mounted it semi permanent by driving a piece of channel 30" into the hill and bolting it on instead of using the X base. I put it at an angle so if I shoot .22 it will deflect down, seems to work. Have also pushed the limit to handgun caliber carbines and it doesn't seem to over stress anything. It is out at about 25 yards, the targets are 6" and 10" AR500. Here is a before picture.1 point

My vote is shrink the government to match the revenues. If government is providing a service folks actually value, they'd be willing to pay for it voluntarily instead of at gunpoint. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.1 point

That is why all of my grand children were home schooled and one still is because they are not required to get their shots before beginning school. I watch all these medicine ads on TV and just shake my head with discuss at the lies. Then you get this encyclopedia of possible side effects that can kill you and at the end of the commercial they say and the common side effect is running nose. I had a long talk with my doctor many years ago about all these things advertised on TV and she said yea I know. She said they make her mad because the Feds have given the drug companies permission to practice medicine without a license. She said that she has lost some patients because they will come in and ask her to write them a perscription for some trash they have seen on TV and when she won't do it they get mad and leave. Last time I went for my 6 month check up I asked he how many blood tests she had requested the baby boomers to get to check for HepC and she said do you want to be the first and we both laughed. She tells her patients that want flu shots to go to Walgreens and get them cause she is out of the shots but she never orders any to begin with. She says if they sell it on TV she does not offer it at he practice. She said that the one that really makes her mad is the Optivo commercial telling folks they will live longer than on Chemo and then the list of side effects begin and it says that the medication may damage other good organs putting you at risk of death. She said Hell if you have cancer your already at enough risk without adding more. There are two new ones out promising the same thing and they all have the same side effects. That is why I drive 140 miles round trip to continue keeping her as my doctor. She was my doctor 2 years before I moved here and I won't be changing any time soon.1 point

Seems rough to me! Why not just put a warrant out for their arrest? Geez. Sounds like entrapment of sorts. I know the powers that be need the money and this is a great way to get it coming in. It seems wrong to me though.1 point

In that case, slather that sucker in red loctite and give the torque your best guess. Torque won't matter much if the barrel ain't wobblin. Best part... you will know the required removal tool. Propane torch.1 point

I purchased the can from Silencer Shop the first week of June, they handled the F4 paperwork, it went pending 7/17, and it arrived at my dealer this past week. This was my first transaction with them and they knocked it out the ballpark! Knight's Armament Company (KAC) 762 QDC CQB suppressor on my SR-25 EMC.1 point

I live right in the middle of several hundred acres that would be ideal quail habitat. Used to be some around but I haven't busted a covey in years. I did see a single quail a couple of weeks ago. I blame the increase of predators.1 point

.let's see, different farming practices, no grown up fence rows, TWRA concerned only about big game, house cats, skunks, coons, foxes, coyotes, hawks, fescue pastures..... all equal to quail have no chance. There is a lonely quail heard every once in a while when I am out, but not like back when1 point

My father has tried to reestablish a quail population on his land near Manchester; he's worked with Quail Unlimited and started a couple of coveys that are around for a year or two and then disappear. We don't know if they move away or are all killed off -- we aren't hunting them. Dad's too old to work on a project like this any more so I guess it will eventually fall to me or else it will be abandoned. It's too bad that quail hunting has about died out across the South. Some of my most enjoyable memories of the outdoor sports involve quail hunting.1 point

We have a decent little covey on our place in western Middle Tennessee. They got pretty depleted about the time that coyote population increased, so we have left them alone for several years hoping they would reestablish. It looks like they are slowing coming back.1 point

I'm all into milsurp bolt actions. It was my dad's thing and he passed it on to me. Mosin's will put a hurt on you after a while but I have a theory based on thousands of rounds. First, when surplus ammo was cheap I would go pop off 60-80 rounds or however much I brought in one session to the point I was just pulling the trigger so I didn't have to take any ammo home. That's punishing in and of itself. Second, Mosin's have a shorter stock than normal rifles. I firmly believes that makes a difference. I broke down and put a nancy pad on my main Mosin and it definitely helped in increasing that length of pull and getting an extra 20-40 rounds out of a ammo burning session. Now, an 8mm in K98 configuration with proper 196 gr surplus ammo is absolutely brutal. The heavier the bullet the more it kicks...or beats you up. Romanian surplus 8mm carries 150 gr bullets and Is a joy to shoot compared to Turkish and Yugo. While the Turkish is the hottest of the bunch, it is not "machine gun ammo". I think it's just more suited to the longer barreled Mauser the Turks made. I know the Turk stuff I have performed noticebly different in my Yugo M48 (shot was high) than Yugo and Romanian stuff. My '43 nazi stamped Mauser Oberdorf K98 has not tasted corrosive ammo since WWII and never will.1 point
