Yes it is a little round, 40 to 50 grans boolit, .5 to 1.5 grans of powder. Shell not much bigger than a 22 LR, and the small pistol primer fills the back end of the case. I cast for the little thing as well, a bit tedious at times, heck all the time. All that said I cast, powder coated and loaded a few this week end. I have 2 molds, a RCBS 25-50-RN, it drops a 50 gran boolit at .254, good looking boolit 2 at a time. The 2md ,mold a MeHic 25 HP that drops 3 at a time at 45 grans and .251. The green ones are the RCBS and the gray are the HP boolits. Since my powder measure will not drop less that 2.5 grans I made dippers, the top one is .5 for titegroup, the right one is 1.3 for green dot, the left was a test. Testing was good, no miss-feeds and hit a paper plate at 10 and 15 feet, with a less then 3 inch barrel I dont shoot out past 20 feet. It is a perfect round for getting varmints out of the chicken pen.3 points

Bought this for $419 shipped. It's a Ruger 22/45 Tactical post-recall design. For some reason, I have never owned a .22LR pistol of any sort so this fills a small hole in my collection. Other than hopefully being great for cheap plinking, it will be a good way to introduce new shooters to the lifestyle without them being fearful of service calibers. A Deadair Mask-HD suppressor will be ordered for it this week. Hopefully, the HPA or some other legislation goes into effect reasonably soon but, if not, one would rather hope that all of the June/July 2016 rush has been caught up by now and that Form-4 applications will be processed within 6-8 months rather than the 12-months it has been running up until recently. I figure I'll top it off with a Vortex Venom 3MOA red dot in the meantime and just have some fun with it.2 points

Why would anyone remove a clip-on holster, hold the holster in the left hand, and cover the weapon with the right hand while approaching a potential threat? What's the motivation here? I can tell you already now that drawing the weapon out of the holster will likely lead to violating a firearm safety rule. Also, holding the firearm like that is a good way to lose control over it in a scuffle.2 points

The bike shop told me that the manufacturer of that wheel had a good bit of problems with broken spokes. I've read the same thing online but I don't always believe what's on the net. The rear rim was trued with the first spoke replacement. I was given all the options from a new rim, a used rim, and replacing all the spokes. I chose the used. The shop replaced the wheel today with an "almost new"one. Said if the new one broke a spoke he'd replace it for free. The bike cost me a good bit more than $300. I liked the disc brakes and extra gears so I spent a little more. Resale might be in that area but I don't plan on selling it. I still like the bike. And because of that, I just want to get my money's worth. Besides that, not all of those 2k 1911's go bang like they should. And I'm sure $2000 bikes have problems as well. A nice road bike might be in my future as long as the back holds out and I can find a way to hide it in the garage. The wife is on the Dave Ramsey kick, therefore I am too. I plan on riding this weekend...so we'll see how it goes. Thanks for all the replies, folks.2 points

SUAREZ INTERNATIONAL HRO-5: TERRORIST / ACTIVE SHOOTER INTERDICTION AUGUST 11-13, 2017 Price: $500 DAYTON, TENNESSEE INSTRUCTOR: RANDY HARRISINSTRUCTOR BIOEXTRA THIRD DAY!This special 3 Day version of this class also includes blocks of instruction on trauma care in the field. Jamie Jackson will be guest lecturer on trauma care. Jamie has 44 years Health Care experience, former EMT, former Corpsman (73-82) RN, BSN, CCRN 35 years. 25 years Critical Care and ER mostly in New Orleans, full time ER 11 years. TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) PHTLS (Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support) BLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS Louisiana State version of CONTOMS. This specialized class deals with solutions to the Active Shooter or the Armed Terrorist on a suicide mission. Originally designed as a class to deal solely with the armed terrorist, in answer to student's requests, we have expanded it to also include the active shooter situation as well.On the terrorism issue, government and local law enforcement are training for the inevitable wave of terror attacks. Historically the terrorists have not relied solely on explosives, and may just as likely utilize the tactic of an active shooter. Such situations have already occurred here in the USA as seen by the Beltway Snipers, and the shootings outside CIA headquarters several years ago. Similarly, we hear more and more daily about non-terrorist incidents like the Tacoma Mall Shooting where an individual decided to get noticed by killing innocent people in a large public place. Although the authorities may be prepared to respond to such events, history tells us that the first line of defense is the armed citizen. It is the man or woman who finds themselves suddenly and unexpectedly in such an event that will end the killing. Will you be ready? These events, whether begun by a terrorist, or a deranged criminal bent on killing innocents call for new tactics and a new mindset. In the Terrorism/Active Shooter Interdiction Course© you will learn extremely aggressive CQB Interdiction Techniques utilized successfully against terrorists by armed citizens overseas. You will study the possible role of the CCW Armed Citizen in stopping such an event in its tracks. You will learn to use whatever you have at your disposal (pistol, knives, impact weapons and even your bare hands) to deanimate and neutralize a terrorist, or active shooter and stop him from killing innocents. We will also be doing a module of instruction for familiarization with the AK-47 series of rifles and the SKS series of rifles. If you have one, bring it.This course uses live fire, and non-live fire force on force training along with other modalities to develop the necessary aggressive fighting skills and then test them in scenarios replicating actual events. Armed Citizens are the first line of defense and the true Homeland Security. In the Al Queda video tape (which all students will view as a part of the class) the jihadists are training to attack and kill Americans at home. They are ready. Are you?? CLASS AND RANGE DETAILS DURATION: 3 days TIME: 8:30AM to 4:30PM AMMUNITION: Approximately 500 rounds (Minimum) RANGE & GEAR REQUIREMENTS: Pistol, carry holster, at least two magazines, and the usual range safety gear (ear and eye protection). I am, and have been looking for, a CZ75B SA in a 9mm. Everybody, keep your eyes and ears open if you hear of a gun shop that has one for sale.1 point

And ended up buying a rifle. This is the first actual store purchase I have made in 7 years. I partially hate myself for this, but behold, one of the fugliest rifles out there: ARX 100. It is ugly, light, fully ambidextrous, easy to use and Italian. Did I mention how ugly it is? I feel so guilty. But it was too good of a deal to even dream of passing up.1 point

Those scientists need to watch the modern Battlestar Galactica mini-series pilot (or hell, the whole series itself) to understand why this is a bad idea. Cylons, man. Cylons.1 point

Got this belt mounted FAB Defense AR mag holder on Amazon for about $21. Fits the 20rd mags perfectly, and I'm sure it would do just as fine for a 30rd'er...but I'm honestly on a 20rd kick for weight and low vis purposes.1 point

I kinda think they already feel the Love bigun. I have neighbors on both sides of me that feel it. You should have seen the looks when they both put their Hillary signs in their front yards and I put 2 Trump signs right between them as i have 2 front yards. I kind of figure they might dissappear before the election but then they are not sure who the people that live in the duplex in front of me were for so they survived till election.1 point

Set the SKS up like this maybe use a golf cart to get the mail. Really make your neighbors feel the love Bersa1 point

A used rim is a good way to go. Lots of guys upgrade their wheels and their old wheels are still perfectly good if your LBS has them.1 point

Good bike shops are like good gun shops. Give them your business so they can stay in business.1 point

I just picked up another Bersa 380 Thunder with all papers and box, 4 magaznes, 6 boxes of 380 ammo, 2 gun holsters and 1 magazine holster.............1 point

I was completely ready to spend the money to fix it. Durability is what I need. I was assured the used rim was the way to go. When I decide to get a road bike this shop will more than likely get my business. Not one time have I been ignored or treated poorly. Service sells.1 point

Best of luck with the new rim. I hope you don't have any issues with it. FWIW, I have a $600 rear wheel on my full suspension (I also have a $3000 1911...). It has never needed a single adjustment in 3 years. Same guy built my road bike rear wheel. Different hub, so it was much cheaper. Being a bigger guy, certain components wear faster. I have seen what happens when a wheel catastrophically fails during a ride. I'll carry the extra weight, and spend the money, to minimize equipment failure that could cause me physical harm. But I also beat the hell out of my bikes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Unless I get drug along to a family movie, I do not get to see any. Rarely I get to catch up when they hit DVD or show up on Amazon Prime. One I am NOT excited for is the new Spiderman. I don't like going back to bumbling teen Spiderman. Also, Aunt May has to be old. She has ALWAYS been an old lady, no reason to make her an Ironman fixation.1 point

Don't do AARP. They hate folks like us. Try that conservative alternative, AMAC or whatever it is.1 point
