  1. Joking. Geissele makes good scope mounts. Larue makes THE BEST scope mounts. Larue makes good triggers. Geissele makes THE BEST triggers. I agree on the SSA. Perfect for self defense. I have them on my two holo sight carbines. The SSA-E is on a scoped rifle. The two match triggers are on precision rifles.

  3. Unfortunately, roughly 100% of the people that need a sign to tell them to stay off of someone else's property will ignore the sign anyway.

  4. Hey, guys. The name's Bob in case that wasn't obvious from my username. We currently live in Ohio but have several properties in Tennessee, and we'll be moving to Tullahoma as soon as our house sells here. My wife and I are both retired Air Force, which is why we're in Ohio. This was her last duty station when she retired. She's originally from Massachusetts and I was born and raised in Mississippi. I'm a life member of NRA, and a member of various other organizations not associated with firearms. Our property in Tullahoma is in an airpark adjacent to the airport, so I can have a hangar in my back yard and taxi right out to the runway from there. Unfortunately I won't be able to just shoot off the back porch like I can here, but there are some good ranges nearby. I'm a certified Emergency Medical Responder, but I haven't been active in that since I broke my back in 2013. Whether I decide to continue that in Tennessee depends on how my back progresses and whether or not there's a volunteer agency in Tullahoma that wants me. I'm a ham radio operator but I'm not the kind that spends hours talking to people in far flung places. My interest is mainly in disaster response and supporting local public service events. I'm the author of the Condensed Guide To Ohio Concealed Carry Laws. You can view it on handgunlaw.us if you're interested. I have numerous firearms of various different types, but other than for home/self defense purposes I generally just shoot for fun. Except under rare circumstances that might dictate otherwise, my daily carry gun is a Glock 30SF. I probably won't post a lot here until after we move, but I look forward to many fun and informative discussions.

  5. Just made my first NFA purchases, pretty excited, kicking myself for waiting so long, but such is life. I went through Tactical Investments here in Collierville, he had just gotten the Silencershop Kiosk and it really made it easy. I was the first to use it, wahoo! The SilencerCo deal of $200 rebate until 06/30 is well worth it, as you will more than likely need a number of accessories for your can if you are a rookie like me. When I registered the Omega they even gave you the option of getting another muzzle break in addition to the one that comes with it, along with a hat or pouch, and hat or pouch for the Harvester too. Here are my purchases: SilencerCo Omega SilencerCo Harvester Dead Air Mask The wait begins now, sounds like the dump from last summer is finally clearing, maybe I'll get them by Christmas???? Here's hoping..........

  6. Hope you enjoy you visit down South. Here it is 10:19 pm in Memphis on July 2nd. The temperature is 81 and humidity 82. Just stepped outside for 5 minutes and am now a sweaty mess. It's worse in September...bring plenty of extra t-shirts. Do you mean Gus's fried chicken? Well worth the visit if so.

  8. It is absolutely the best of the DC EU films out so far. The whole family loved it. Especially my daughter.

  10. That sure wasn't much. Just a little 22mag. It's not a drop in the bucket to a safe full of 22. lol I have over the years since then accumulated a bit more of that 22 mag ammo though. And seems that I haven't shot any since then. Guess it's time to take the PMR 30 out again.

  11. A one foot hole at 15 feet? I have never seen or heard of a 3 inch mag doing anything remotely like that. To even have a 1 foot pellet spread like that at 15 feet seems incredible, let alone a foot-wide hole. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Picked up one in 45 ACP and really like it. Seems quite a bit better than the original. The grip texture is a little rough on my side when I carry IWB with no undershirt. Get better accuracy than the original, in my opinion.

  13. Thought this was a good video showing how shooting at the ground can cause rounds to easily clear a berm and leave the range. Proves that bullets don't just burrow into the ground. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. You're thinking about the RX models. I haven't seen an X5 package with the Romeo dot, yet. I had a chance to shoot a guy's X5 two weeks ago at the range and it was very nice. Definitely would be one that I would look at for competitive shooting.

  21. Probably my last AK acquirement for a while. These are both GP 10/63 Wasrs. Built with Military parts with the exception of the receiver. I consider these to be the best quality WASRs ever brought in. I got one of these at a shop I used to frequent in a neighboring state. It had a flare launcher and a slide fire stock and "tacticool" optics and rails. I made them an offer for the gun minus the flare launcher and slide fire stock.(You don't need one to bump fire an AK) One pic shows it as I saw it the first time. It is the one on the right in the dark hardwood stock. The other pickup was sort of accidental. I went to a local shop yesterday and they had a used WASR on the wall. I looked and lo and behold it was GP 10/63. I looked at the trunnion date and it was 1966- my birth year. So I brought it home. I put some SAR- forewood on it with palm swells. I just poly'd the stock so the sheen would sort of match the fore end. I've got two AK 74 style brakes coming Monday to finish them out. Very pleased with these two. They work like they are supposed to as well.
