  1. Just the fact that y'all think a country that uses bottle rockets as ICBMs is capable of creating a super virus is hilarious to me.

  2. Well, would you get drunk and walk into south Chicago with no weapon and tear down or deface some gang tags? Without expecting some kind of trouble? Another dumb drunk college kid that paid a heavy price for his actions. Does not make it right by any means no more than the skirt wearer. Just makes it reality. If there is a cave full of dangerous snakes or other critters. You know it ahead of time, know the risk, yet enter anyway to go "Sight seeing" then don't be surprised when you get bit. Kind of like the folks that went hiking in Iran. Uh, do you see the news and know what the outcome might be? (Not sure of the entire story behind that incident and am too tired to look it up) Bottom line is if you would not go walking in a neighborhood in America that is known as "bad" why in the hell would you even think of going to a foreign country where your rights are what they decide and has a history like NK does

  4. If you come to Knoxville, I can tell you, Knoxville Home Furnishings is a great place to NOT do business with!

  5. CCI does not pack .22 ammo in plastic bags. Matter of fact the only people that do are neckbearding gun stores and gun show dealers. Did you do the math? It's $.12/round shipped...and the panic is over.

  6. They were. I think the last one sold for around a million dollars, then later for a half million. Looks like the bottom is falling out of that market, lol. http://www.fieldandstream.com/blogs/gun-nuts/2013/03/million-dollar-luger

  7. Check out Bliss Home in the Melrose area. They're a Tennessee company which started in Knoxville and opened a location in Nashville a few years ago. http://shopinbliss.com/contact/#bliss-home-nashville We found a great sofa there which was actually made in east Tennessee, but right now I can't remember the brand.

  8. I'll also give Haverty's a and a 2 thumbs up. We have bought several chairs and curio cabinets from them in the last few years. Prices and quality are very good, especially if you take your time and check their physical and online inventorys.

  9. TWRA hasn't ever come to get deer from Dad's house. The guys who shot them take them to be processed. Dad just keeps a log of what gets culled.

  10. We went to Haverty's yesterday, and I'd rate it near the top of the stores we visited. Unfortunately, Mrs. Tenn found a small store in Gallatin that sells high end stuff, and I expect we'll be ordering from there. This is going to turn out to be like buying a car I'm afraid.

  11. Contact TWRA about getting a nuisance permit. My parents had one for several years. Mom has a big flower garden and the deer ate everything. When the agent drove up to the house to assess the damage, he got out of the truck and said he'd seen more than enough just coming up the driveway to justify the permit.

  12. Brother Dave has hit the nail square on the head... This right here is the truth of the matter... No one with a smidgen of intelligence nor critical thinking skills would voluntarily go to N. Korea in the first place... It is breathtaking to me that some folks who do these things don't seem to get the idea that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights only work in the USA... Young Kim is a despotic dictator... Going to NK is akin to goin to see a deranged Genghis Khan with modern weapons and technology... Don't spend too much time analyzing this stuff... This tragedy was brought on by weak mindedness... The NK interrogators drugged Otto to death, and sent him home a zombie... Nothin more... leroy....

  15. We ordered a sofa from Sprintz, and were told 4-6 week lead time. When we called to check the status a few weeks later, we were told it was 12+ weeks. We cancelled the order, and went to Haverty's. We had great service there. They even came out and repaired a spot on our sofa 6 months after it was delivered that was caused by our dog's flea medicine (the liquid you put on their back is bad for leather finish, FYI). I would check out Haverty's if that is an option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. I wasn't impressed the two times we went. The stuff seemed just a small step better quality than the Ashley furniture junk for 4x the price. Found a sleeper sofa that would have been ok, and I started to negotiate the price and the saleslady said they don't negotiate. Well, that $1,200 overpriced $2,200 sofa stayed right there and we left. A week later she calls and asks if I'm still interested in the sofa and offers to deal. That royally pissed me off and I told her so. Anyways, we went to our local Mom & Pop in Smyrna and got a custom, USA made dual powered recliner sofa (decided against the sleeper) for $1,100 delivered. Best purchase we ever made.

  21. I don't think they did anything to cause his coma, those work camps are so bad that people literally fight over roaches to eat. You can hang the tin foil hat back up in the closet. They released him because he was American, he was in the news, and they were hoping he wouldn't die. Personally i think the guy was an idiot for stepping foot inside that country, this entire situation was completely on him.

  22. Went there once looking at their leather sofas/chairs and wasn't too impressed. Price were as-expected, but almost all of them were that cheap Chinese 1/32" leather coating on fabric that looked & felt like it would wear off in a year or two. Couldn't say anything about the rest of their stock as that was mildly disappointing and I went with another place & fabric chair/couch. It could be that just about everything is made that cheap now, am unsure.
