The ATF didn't enact and sign the law that drove full auto prices through the roof.3 points

As the owner of 2 Caniks, I have to ask. What took you guys so long? Steelharp and I have been talking about these pistols for almost a year. They are ergonomically fantastic, shoot exceeding well and accurately, and have a trigger that is the envy of at least 75% of the gun world. So...It's about time. lol3 points

Because all the good things in life are highly regulated and taxed by the ATF3 points

I think a lot of it will be determind if the Attorney General in Oklahoma is a liberal or not as to whether they will get a grand jury indictment against him. It is pitiful when an elected official will put his election before the lives of 2 babies and a man doing the right thing by saving their lives.3 points

As promised here are some pics. Ya'll definitely need to get in on these!3 points

Any death by the hand of another will be investigated. If this is in fact what happened without some other twist, the neighbor should be commended for taking action and it should be classed as a "justifiable" homicide once the investigation is completed and the criminal case closed. I can understand the D.A. being non-committal until the investigation is concluded. I only hope that the decision as to charges or not is based on sound legal principle and not politics.2 points

I'm gearing up for a big TGO yard sale. The easier, the better.2 points

What government official is implying charges could be brought; I don’t see that anywhere? All homicides are investigated by (at least) the cops and the DA whether they are obviously justified or not. Anyone could be charged by a DA for anything, but it sounds to me like the bad guy got what he deserved and that will be the end of it. Props to the neighbor for stepping up.2 points

If you read the article, you'll probably find as I did, a mean individual that got what he deserved. I don't think he should be charged for anything and can't understand why there is deliberation. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/jun/5/2nd-amendment-saves-oklahoman-shoots-babies-would-/1 point

Saw on local news this morning that the N-Range Gun Store in Hendersonville was hit again last night in a smash and grab breakin. They said the bad guys smashed the from glass, entered the store and smashed the glass gun cases, grabbed what they could and got away. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time this gun store has been hit in recent years. They said they did not have a total yet of how many guns they made away with. Evidently the owners of this location have not done anything to improve their security knowing that they are a prime target in a prime location for this to happen..............jmho1 point

BATF requires bars on all entries. If they have been hit 3 times without taking steps BATF may pull their license.1 point

Bowie Tactical did my slides but I actually did the stippling. It only took me 1...no 2...no 5 attempts before I got two that turned out good.1 point

If you want to feel a good Canik trigger try a SF Elite trigger, best of the Canik triggers.1 point

I agree. No way in hades will a civilian vehicle bust in through the front. I doubt they lock everything up in a safe every night.1 point

You could look at it from the perspective of only 29 of you cared enough about the issue.1 point

Good you feel that way, since it's already been changed back.1 point

Yeah. It almost makes you wonder if they are orchestrating it. Maybe the "thieves" grab stuff that will profit the owners when the insurance pays. That is pure speculation. I wonder if a store's FFL can get revoked if they do not show that they attempt to avoid it happening? I know a lady that runs a gun store and when she got hit once, she installed surveillance, added welded bars to all the windows, and puts a lot of the best stuff away in the safe each night. She even will randomly stay a night in the store to add an extra layer of deterrent. Between her lady Smith and the stainless 12GA she keeps, people would be stupid to try.1 point

Everyone is scared to death that someone will complain about this and make it into a big issue. No one wants to go on record backing this guys actions because it might bite them in the next election.1 point

I think most anyone one this site would have acted much in the same way. I know I would have and took my chances with a jury of 12 if I was charged. I don't even see why this is even being considered for charges. The guy was not only trying to kill the 2 babies but was armed with a butcher knife. Clear case of Self defense along with stopping a double homicide. Like Bigun said Mayor should pin a metal on him for being a hero..............JMHO1 point

It's why the Shields are discounted right now, it's not like they don't sell on their own. Make the smaller version enticing enough to try, then the buyer considers the bigger version too.1 point

That's cool! It is my understanding that the firing pin can be removed and turned upside down to change from rim fire to centerfire. It should take a 32 Long Colt, which is out of production. A 32 Short Colt can still be found, and would probably work. These rounds fire a heeled bullet like a 22 rimfire, and are not interchangeable with the 32 s&w. Your rifle was designed for black powder, so low pressure is the order of the day.1 point

They can mill your slide, or sell you one of theirs. Unlike the MOS, they mill the slide precisely for the RDS you choose, and it sits lower in the slide. I'm still saving for one, but I've heard nothing but good things so far.1 point

A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to upgrade to a newer version of the Raven Concealment Phantom holster that I have had for my Glock 19 for about ten years or so. I almost pulled the trigger (no pun intended) on one from RCS when I saw a promotion that Bravo Concealment was doing on their holsters, and opted to try them out instead. I am glad I did. This thing is legitimately as good as any of my RCS Phantoms and was half the cost.1 point

I am sure there are some that still need 22 ammo, thanks much. However there are some like me that would not darken the ammo area at wally world if it was the last place to buy 22. WW left a bad taste after the last ammo scare!1 point

Speaking only of my own experience shooting 3-gun Open division with a dot-sighted pistol, your mileage may vary: The handgun dot sight excels at hitting small (or distant) targets fast. Things like TX stars, 4" plates, and distant steel transformed from painful to routine. For full-size targets up close, even after a lot of practice with the dot, I was never any faster than irons, and often a touch slower because of height-over-bore and muscle memory shooting irons. And that's almost certainly the kind of shooting I'll need to do if (God forbid) I end up pulling the trigger for keeps on the street. So in summary, for me, for a carry gun, the RDS isn't worth it. Now, as the tech improves, the sights get even more bulletproof, weather/foreign object resistant, and maybe we start to see things like integral RDS, where the battery, electronics, and wind age/elevation adjustments are built into the slide, and only the sight window sticks up, and that dot starts to appear right where the front sight used to be.... that might mean a whole new ball game.1 point

Ok guys, I think we have enough of a consensus here to predict the way this would go even if 1000 people voted. We'll switch back to the old way of doing this. I will work on it this weekend.1 point
