I love CZ's... Got an old Nazi eagle/swastika marked CZ27 32ACP... Great shooter... It looks like it has been carried in the overall (... or field jacket...) pocket so long all the blue is worn off... No war stories with it; but i would bet some american farmer carried this one a bit after it was "liberated"... My other "not so mainstream" is an old, early twentieth century, I Frame smith 32 round butt that has been re-nickled... The barrel is dark from the old black powder rounds... Three inch, round butt, real pearl grips... Belonged to a dear friend's father in law... The friend is now "gone over the Sunset Hill"... He was in his nineties and has been gone probably 10 years... leroy1 point

I sorta never had a choice but to reload, all the men in my family did, and all I heard was "if you are gonna shoot it, make some bullets" (except for my own Sears single-shot 22lr ), but if I was gonna be a big boy, shoot Dad's and my uncle's big boy guns, I had to learn to load my own. I had my own bills, and my paper route barely covered them. Bicycle tires/tubes, .22 ammo, fishing stuff, pigeon food......paper boy's money only stretched so far. Of all the arms I have collected over the last 60+ years, and I love so many of them.......but if I had to pick just one most favorite and fun.... hands down it is my (over-priced) Ruger M77/357 all-weather carbine.1 point

In Colombia not-main stream were the only handguns available. I had a CZ in .22 and another in .32. To carry I was limited to under 9mm but realistically that was .38 special or .32 H&R revolvers. The Army Armory store had a stainless .38 special Taurus revolver from Brazil the day all my paperwork lined up so that was my legal carry gun there. Under 9mm is the rule in Latin America for not police or military. In Mexico it was S&W model 10. In Peru I started with the Taurus .380 and their .22auto, then got a Glock 25 in Lima. You take what you can get sometimes. Cherokee Slim1 point

What happened to you can happen anywhere but sorry about your broken window. I have has several friends get windows broke in Nashville as well. I had a buddy print me some stickers for my Jeep windows that are small but says "Jeep is unlocked please don't break windows. Help yourself to what ever you think you need to steal." So far have not had any broken glass and funny thing is I have not had anything stolen and I do have a high end Stereo in the Jeep and has removeable face but I never remove it. I do a lot of night fishing and Jeep is setting in a parking lot at the lake to sometimes midnight and still nothing is taken. I guess because i invite them to steal something they probably think it's a trap. Don't know? maybe just been lucky I guess.1 point

Well, I'v been wanting one of these for a few years and finaly did it on Gun Broker. Oddly, I was the only bidder on the $300 auction with $15 to ship and my dealer here gets $25 to make it happen so it comes to $340 OTD so to speak on this Stoeger import. Any one know when Stoeger dropped the Uberti Stallion line? The gun was advertised as new old stock but it did look like it had a cylinder or so fired threw it. The colors are really nice on this particular gun along with the over all fit & finish. I do need to do a little work on the trigger since its a tad creepy and its only 1.5 lbs away from a Bang! This is the first 30 rounds fired at 40 feet off a rest. If not for the one flyer (me), its holding 1.5". I'll tune the sights in better but now I'm after a Mag cylinder and then I'll decide on any sight mods. The second pic puts the Stallion along my JP Sauer 44mag. Great guns with about as close to Colt fit & finish as your going to get without Colt stamped on the barrel.1 point

I need to sign in as one of you guys having trouble and check some settings. Do you mind if I do so using your account? I don't need your password; the forum has a feature that lets me do this if I need to. I just generally don't.1 point

If you don't mine recoating it I can thin whatever muzzle brake you decide on to match the profile of the barrel, for free.1 point

Yes, it seems that this little Turkish wonder has developed quite a following here in the states. lol I missed picking up on the first series of guns, but the TP series got my attention.1 point

Your buddy is exactly right. My property seems to be covered up with hens and jakes but very few mature gobblers. Last Saturday I was out and saw 6 hens and 1 gobbler cruising around in the down pour while I was staying dry in a deer blind. Am also training some future turkey hunters this season. Been bringing my 3 and 5 year old sons with me so I haven't been as mobile as I usually am during turkey season. Even though I haven't taken a gobbler yet it's been fun being out there with my kids. They've spotted turkeys when I haven't seen them so it's been like having a few extra set of eyes with me.1 point

David, My whole career has been and is supporting tech and I have often been the "one man show". I understand the difficulty, am sympathetic and respect the all the time & effort you put in. I also believe we have all been very patient with this issue and considering how important it is to all of us, continue to be. But we have not heard much back from anyone on this in a while so I believe we have all been wondering if it was still being looked into. TGO is more to all of us than just a Forum, it is a community, so please trust that we all respect that and those who use there time to keep it in existence, very much. I thought it was understood that the issue was with the Classifieds portion of the forum. We have been discussing how we do not receive notifications from the Classified section but do receive email notifications on things pertaining to this thread. As ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ stated above, I believe I am getting all emails except for those from the Classifieds. I’ve documented many of the things I’ve tried such as changing email delivery to a Gmail account, which didn’t resolve anything (I’ve since changed back to my main account). I’ve tried “toggling” the Follow on and off on a forum. Tried following individual items/posts on the Classifieds forum, logged in, logged out, tried different combinations. Etc… I would love for this to be a brain fart moment on my part and a simple fix that I have overlooked. I just don’t know what else to try or who to contact. This forum is the only tech support I am aware of for this site. That is why we have posted our concerns here. Please excuse anything that does not flow well in the above. It has been a long day. Thank you again for your time,1 point

Guns? No rack....they take up to much space that I want to fill with guns. Right side up. Otherwise 100% natural, no fillers, additives or preservatives.1 point

Just drove over the Dam and seen shore lined with fishermen on East Side. They are letting water out and Stones is full over steps instead of knee deep trickle. Was there about fifteen minutes and seen quite a few pulled in Hybrids 5to 12 lbs Stripers 4-5 lbs and one guy pulled in his limit of two Paddlefish and left.1 point

Shockwave is, without a doubt, the best. Lightest, most comfortable and can be folded into a very flat package. You are more than welcome to come shoot mine on a mini Draco if you want.1 point

Oh, the boys at Negotiating Rights Away absolutely operate like that. There's too much money at risk otherwise.1 point
-
I have come to believe that a certain well known gun rights organization operates kind of like the firefighters we hear about every once in a while who start fires so that they can be 'heroes' by putting them out. If things swing too far in gun owners' direction it might put them out of business so they have to periodically create a problem so that they will have something to lobby against a few years down the road.1 point

Last Monday. My GFs 40ish niece and her 19 yo son are visiting from upstate New York. The niece hunts with a .243, but neither had ever fired a handgun. So I loaded up a bunch of guns and ammo and off to the range we went. We shot .22s, .38s, .357s, 9mm and .a .45 1911. Both did surprisingly well for their first time. The niece is a bit of a Tom Boy and fell in love with my 4" S&W Model 19 firing full house 158 JHP Magnums. The son took a real shine to my old S&W Model 39-2 9mm. My GF got in some trigger time on her two .38s. and put a little over 100 rounds down range. As for me, well I spent most of my time teaching and supervising the noobies. But I enjoyed it just as much as they did.1 point

I have a shockwave on mine with a stormwerkz hinge on it. Granted you will have to tap the receiver but it is a rock solid setup. Even though the shockwave wasn't mentioned in the letter one, I am of the opinion that the shockwave is in the same league as a sig brace. If you do get the shockwave make sure you get the KAK tube for it.1 point

You think that one more conflicting private response from one individual at BATF "defines" it, eh? That said, you can get SB-47 as simple add on underneath grip or adapt the rear to accept buffer tube, in which case you have the option of any one of them that fits on tube. Takes drilling/tapping to use pig tail adapter and/or folding one or US MachineGun also sells a grip adapter that will do same. I used USMG gizmos to do a Zastava M92. Adapter to buffer tube is rock solid, the folding adapter less so though, if you're going for folding, a couple of drill and bolt options are better. - OS1 point

I've now mowed with this new Bad Boy, and it's everything I hoped it would be. It's like mowing with a really fast, good riding bulldozer! It cut my mowing time from 3.5 to 2 hours. As long as it remains reliable, I'll be very happy with it. I wish I'd have bought one a long time ago. It also stays on a hill well, unlike the smaller ztr I have.1 point

Thanks for all the input guys. Turns out the guy got back in touch with me and has another tin plus an opener that I can buy. Considering it is 32.5 cents per round shipped, I'm grabbing it.1 point

OK so, I continued trying to get the Fedarm 115 RN plated rounds to fly straight, and stumbled across at least one solution. Through the process, I took the press down, cleaned, lubricated, etc. bought a new seating die with micrometer. changed powder several times (Tightgroup, Unique, Accurate#2, and finally Vihtavouri N320), ran rounds across my new chrony (love this equip), modified the taper crimp (up and down), and made several trips to the indoor range. the winner is: powder: 3.8gr N320 primer:Winchester seating: 1.142" +/-.001 crimp: minimum. Pic is @ 5 yards w/ VP-9, 10 shots on a rest, and 5 shots off hand (6:00). LOVE the Vihtavouri N320!! very time consuming and frustrating, but found an answer. thanks again for all your input!!1 point

S&W 439 and 3 mags. Growing up my Dad had a 39-1 and it was the first center fire pistol I remember having shot so when I saw this, nostalgia bit hard and now it sits in the safe next to my 52-2. As with most older used pieces it needed a good strip and clean so a few minutes online finding a good .PDF file about 25 minutes later it was back to good clean and ready for fun status.1 point

Thought the big assed screw holding the right side (as you are aiming it) safety lever in was a replacement,...research is pointing to S&W actually using a Phillips screw OR an Allen head to hold them on, not just an Allen head ( better looking) as I had originally believed and the 3rd. Gen doing the dovetail/pin method. Learn something every day.....1 point

I love 3rd gen Smith's The first handgun I shot was my father's issued 5906, I love that gun. After my first 21 year old purchase of a Glock 17, I purchased a LNIB 5906. I grew up shooting that gun, its the first gun my now 14 year old ever shot, and the same will follow suit with my other 2 kids..1 point

Guys Just thought I would update you. I did get that Taurus Model 94 Ultra-lite Nine. I ran 50 rounds through it and was really pleased. The sights are good, it feels good in my hand, and works like a charm. This model does have to hammer key lock, but I will probably never set it. I did get the keys and manual with it but no box. I am pleases for now, but I have decided I need a SR22 also. I will probably get the 3.5" threaded barrel model just in case the whole HPA goes through. I wish the 4.5" model came in a threaded barrel.1 point

Mine came in today. Just picked it up. First impressions; I had to change the back strap but it comes with a total of 4 so there are options. I'll have to swap out the safeties for the smaller ones when I get home. Aside from the swaps of included parts it feels great in the hand and points well. Trigger pull is nice and crisp in single action and double action is similar to my Sigs. I'll have it at Tennessee Gun Country Saturday along with the CZ Tac Sport Orange if anyone is in the area and wants to try them.1 point

I know the thread is old...... I will put any of my RIA's up against any other 1911's I have, for reliability and accuracy [that's after you get ALL the shipping oil off them]1 point

I haven't added a Smith and Wesson to my collection for quite some time, but recently, I ran across three different ones I just couldn't pass up. top: model 38 no dash middle: pre 34 kit gun bottom: 14-3 (came with box and papers)1 point

This 29 was the second handgun I ever bought back in 82. Its not going any where for sure! The little guy is an old 22 Taurus 5 screw copy that I bored out to 22mag. The best compliment of design is to be copied..... again & again!1 point

Not a very good pic, but here is my Model 30. Serial number puts it around 1967 I think. Shot it today with some handloads(98gr swc, Win 231). Shot good and to point of aim at 15 yards. Opened it up and it was nice and clean, but had not seen a drop of oil in a long time. Running smooth as a Singer now.1 point

I went out there the other night to listen to an hour of Coast to Coast AM. Well, one hour leads into two. Next thing I knew, I had 100+ rounds I needed to find a box for. Lol.1 point
