  4. I am no aviation expert but from what I understand the speedometer/speed tracking device looks like it is from a passenger plane? I'm more interested and curious why the "DANGER: EJECTION SEAT & CANOPY" is in English?

  5. It also looks like it was installed by the hacks at their local Best Buy.

  10. Just had a chat with my wife about this. Regardless of terrorism roots or not the sentiment of watch your back is so true. Situational awareness is our best tool for survival. Without that any weapon we have is useless. Watch your back and stay safe.

  11. Gotta be a mistake. It's probably a dark skinned white veteran. Attacking unarmed folks like a coward, pathetic! Watch your back everywhere. Hope the victims can RIP.

  13. Ronald, I have used a screwdriver and hammer before. There's a good bit of space surrounding the ammo. A Kbar works great too! I have an extra opener I'll gladly mail you & you can mail it back at your convenience. Just shoot me a PM if interested. Unfortunately Spam cans of surplus 7.62x54 R aren't nearly as plentiful as they were.

  14. Yeah, I already have one for buying an existing home through VA up to $417,000, but doing a VA Construction Loan is a lot harder, apparently. One challenge is finding a company that will actually do them. The other is the construction loan has different government bureaucratic BS rules on the back end making it harder to get it done. I either have to buy what's already built, or find a builder who will acquire the land and do the construction for me to close on it with a regular VA loan.

  16. I didn't see anything else out there that offered as much coverage, so I pulled the trigger finally. I also added my wife at checkout for a 50% off discount on her policy. It was $30 a month for me and $15 a month for her for the platinum plan. Not bad for what you get IMHO. What also helped me choose the USCCA is one of the attorney's listed for TN is none other than John Harris from the TFA! Who do you have your carry insurance through? Why did you chose them?

  17. I absolutely would not sell it. I would also hesitate to bring some other family to live there (if that's what you meant) because these days that can often be WAY more trouble than it's worth ('cause people are awful). Just work it yourself and enjoy the land. If you have a lot of room for crops you might consider holding some of the land in reserve so you can rotate the crops.

  22. I always tell people, if at all possible, try not to live West of where you work. Otherwise, you will be driving into the sun twice a day. 5 or 6 acres is nice if it's not all cleared. Trust me, mowing that much land every week gets old. You will need to dedicate an entire afternoon to it. Do you have a riding mower? You'll need one, or a small tractor. Pay close attention to your potential neighbors, and the neighborhood. You meet all kinds of people out in the country. Try to see if they are your kind of people. Are you really willing to not see neighbors every day? That was a big thing for my stay at home wife who didn't want to be a recluse. Think about what you want to get out of life by living in the country, and then make sure the properties you look at support those things. Is there a place for a garden? Can you shoot there? Is there a good place to shoot with a backstop? Is there a place for a barn, or a chicken coop. Check out the availability of Internet. Having to use a satellite dish for internet sucks. Be sure to check your cell signal when you visit a place. We ended up having to change providers because Verizon's signal was so poor here. How close is a store, gas station, hospital. As you get older, the last one may be pretty important. Where is the closest fire station, or ambulance. Overall, living in the country is amazing, if that is what you like. The peace and quiet is awesome. You'll see and hear wild life. You can see the stars at night. Good luck in your search.

  24. I pocket everyday, a Bauer 25ACP. It workes well for me, yes it is a small caliber. However I can "palm" the pistol and it is not seen till I want it to show. It is not a "man stopper" but a "get off me" pistol.
