I enjoy math puzzles, so I used this photo to find the distance from the edge of the front wheel to the point where the back wheel just begins to lift off the ground. That distance is 71.1 inches. The distance from the edge of front wheel to the exact middle of the rear wheel is 66.8 inches. According to a Ford forum, the Sport Trac bed including the tail gate with the tail gate down is 70 inches, so the rear wheel would just barely be on the tail gate. However.... The diagonal from front left to the rear right edge of the tail gate with the tail gate down is 86 inches. Of course you can angle the front wheel into the front corner of the bed and put the bike in diagonally with the front wheel turned all the way to the left. The rear of the bike will still be on the tail gate, but it won't extend past the end of the tail gate.2 points

Took a while to finish, but I think it's finally 'done'. 700-800 rds through it so far (probably, maybe more ), 6-inch groups at 200 yds w/ Wolf .223 factory rounds. 3" groups at 100 yds. Anderson Manuf. Lower w/ Houge grip, Anderson 5.56 upper w/ 24" Stainless Bull Barrel 1:8 twist. Nikon P-308 scope, Reflex site, and CAA Group Stock w/ cheek rest. Starting to become a fan of the AR. Want to get another upper in 300 blk. out so I can use that as an excuse to buy another lower! It truly is an illness. I should be able to get government compensation somehow, shouldn't I? - K1 point

That's an easy solution though, couple of bolts and a receiver - viola. And, who owns a truck in TN without a hitch?1 point

Bottom line is, a well placed shot with any of these 9mm, .355 or .356 nominal bullet diameter cartridges and it will be a good self defense round, PERIOD.1 point

I would also like to see some new falling block guns back in the market. Even if it had to be an import like Taurus keeping Winchesters 1890 alive at a non Italian repro price. Personally I would revamp the old Iver Johnson line. Here I remade this 922 by machining threads into the receiver and then screwing in a old octagon barrel that was sleeved with a 17HMR chamber. The original straight butt stock was converted to the Savage 1903 pistol grip unit. At 25 yards All these I.J.'s have auto eject and rebounding hammers like the H&R's This is a 38 shot gun I recently acquired that I plane on sleeving the original rusty bore with a SS bll in 22 hornet. Only this need an extractor made from scratch and the firing pin will need to be bushing-ed down to smaller ID. Great designs that SHOULD be reborn with modern materials. Break opens........ not so much.1 point

Exactly. Intent will be the question. The rest of what you posted pertains to Federal law in a Federal bank Robbery trial. The OP’s trial would be in state court on Felony Assault charges; Intent would mean everything and brandishing would probably not even be mentioned as it does not apply.1 point

Ammo cans, most are locked up in an old vending machine in the garage I converted to a light duty ammo safe.1 point

Thanks for the input so far guys. I was using some of the smaller plastic ammo cans, but got tired of having so many. I did pick up one of these MTM ACR7-18 Ammo Crates. Their exterior dimensions are 17.2" x 10.7" x 9.2"(H). Packed full it can be kinda heavy, but easier to stack up. I keep expanding the calibers I have and I like to keep a decent amount for each. I wish I had room and money for something like this. It is a Liberty Ammo Can Safe. Runs $420 at Cabelas. 59-1/2"H x 24-1/4"W x 22"D1 point

?????? not so sure on that....take some blade training and compare it to what can be done with a pocket pistol like a .22 / .32 etc. If I get to pick the blade I would take one over several pistols I can think of.1 point

Right. Not dealing with the simple issue of decriminalizing the gun sign mess in TN, tells me that the NRA is not really interested in helping TN gun owners. More importantly, none of the so called pro second amendment Republicans are interested either. Speaking as a lifetime NRA member. But no longer a Republican. Libertarians where are you?1 point

I am sure the people in the Dominican Republic are great at lots of things. Turns out that making whisky is not one of them. [emoji27] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro1 point

Yup - what DHF said.... is there a thread for the "Not getting email since the move to the new forum hosting software" topic. I will gladly post and update in there. I didn't mean to "thread-jack" this thread.1 point

Copy. I started a separate Thread on this issue, which I see you have responded to. I inquired here as well after seeing that there were posts within this thread regarding email notifications, as well. I will be trying your suggestion posted on the other Thread of trying a different email provider such as gmail to see if this clears up my issue, though I do receive email notifications for other forums such as ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ stated.1 point

Thank you, David. I will try using another email provider to see if this clears it up. Though it interesting that email notifications are getting through for my posts on this Support Forum but not for the Classifieds Forum.1 point

Seems to periodically happen through the years regardless of what forum software vendor or version, and seems more dependent on email gateway than TGO itself. I know Comcast simply didn't work for a while, then did, then didn't, etc. Gmail seems to work for everyone last I heard. - OS1 point

Depends on the manner in which you expose your weapon, it may be seen as brandishing by some and an overzealous LEO may agree if called. Personally, I would not show my weapon until I was ready to pull the trigger.1 point

In today's market, I believe the single shot rifle is a "niche" gun. The prevalence of bolt, semi-autos (both military style and civi-style) and even pump rifles all outweigh the firepower of a single shot rifle. Yet, I like them. They force me to enjoy the whole experience of shooting and not just the thrill of pulling the trigger and hearing "bang" like the semi-autos do! When I shoot my single shot rifles, I take much more time preparing the shot and then following through. For me, it is a natural partner to my handloading endeavors. I took a friend who is just beginning to shoot to the range today and let them shoot my H&R Handi in 357. A whole handful of 38's took almost 30 minutes to shoot and we spent more time smiling than shooting because of the tinny plink sound that slow bullet made on the steel out at 110 yards. It's a whole different kind of fun shooting those bullets just one at a time. Thinking back over the last few years, I would have been just as adept at hunting with a single shot rifle as with my bolts. Each of the last 6 or 7 deer were one shot drops, something that a single shot could have accomplished. Still, I grab that bolt .308 as if my life depends on it!!! LOL! Anyway, I just like 'em and I'm glad there's another manufacturer to fill H&R's vacuum. Now if only Henry would make a single shot rifle in 357 and price it competitively with CVA, I would be a happy boy.1 point

Why don't they stick to what works for them. Sell guns that were common place 100+ years ago. I would LOVE to see a nice falling block made with modern manufacturing techniques and metallurgy. Imagine how handy that little gun would be if it were scaled down to just the right size for 357 Magnum.1 point
