  1. Took a while to finish, but I think it's finally 'done'. 700-800 rds through it so far (probably, maybe more ), 6-inch groups at 200 yds w/ Wolf .223 factory rounds. 3" groups at 100 yds. Anderson Manuf. Lower w/ Houge grip, Anderson 5.56 upper w/ 24" Stainless Bull Barrel 1:8 twist. Nikon P-308 scope, Reflex site, and CAA Group Stock w/ cheek rest. Starting to become a fan of the AR. Want to get another upper in 300 blk. out so I can use that as an excuse to buy another lower! It truly is an illness. I should be able to get government compensation somehow, shouldn't I? - K

  2. I've only had to go to the one in Harriman so far, so maybe that's why, but OMG you folks have NO idea! Coming from NY, the DMV down here is a downright PLEASURE to do business with! The people speak ENGLISH! There's no urine on the floor! Processes are simple, fee's reasonable, paperwork is NOT written in 22 other languages, you don't feel like an international traveller in the waiting area, and you'll be spoken to politely and with respect! Never once had that experience in NY, you've really got it great down here, trust me! - K

  3. 9mm vs. ?? threads of recent are not as colorful compared to some in the past. Maybe the horse has been beaten into oblivion. However, just because I can, I dug up an old visual to add to the seemingly never ending debate, PERIOD.

  4. It's been a good while since I've actually posted. This is one of the guns I've built most recently and it's quickly become a favorite to shoot. A 25 yard zero is also a 125 yard zero which I love. About the only things that might change are the back up sights so I can get the light closer to the 12 o clock rail, and some paperwork needs to be filed. Anyway, parts are as follows... -Quarter circle 10 lower and bolt -CMT UPUR 2 upper -Ballistic advantage 5.5" barrel -BCM KMR 7" alpha rail -KAK shockwave and tube -PA advance micro dot -Surefire scout mini on Arisaka mount I need to get some better pictures soon I'm currently working on another 9mm AR that takes colt mags with a stripped CMMG MK9 lower. I'll update this post in a few weeks with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Was watching some stuff on the cold war, I like how the space race and new age of exploration was simply a cover for missile launch and delivery development. If we can safely (with 60s tech) get man out and back, how much harder for an atomic warhead...

  10. Special operations equipment, also a TN business. https://www.originalsoegear.com excellent stuff, owner has some odd ways of dealing with people who he considers are complaining, he doesn't like stupid, whiny and impatient customers. You pay, get confirmation and wait. He often publicly chastised customers(not by name though) who annoyed him.

  11. We had a nice one in the shop on consignment for 14 months. Owner wanted $2500, lowered to $2200 after six months, it never sold. Many people looked at it, wanted it, and had a lot of offers for $1500. Folks price them high, like you see on Gun Broker, but they rarely sell. Usually it's a collector looking for a specific one for his/her collection. I bought one for $1000 ten years ago, sold it at the Lebanon gun show last year for $1200. It sat there Friday and Saturday, and sold on Sunday to a man that looked at it on Friday. It's worth what someone will pay, as you know, but I would say top dollar is $1500 for fair price. I have been trading/collecting/selling guns for over 60 years. The only Python and Anaconda I see lately are priced high because people THINK they are so valuable, and when they can't sell at the high price.......say they'll just keep it....take their [ball and bat] and go home. For $1500 (and less) today, there are better guns in my opinion, like a Super Redhawk, 629 Stealth PC, Alaskan, etc. If I could get $1500 for the one in the picture above, I would be happy.

  19. 2000 Camaro SS 6 Speed Bought it new 2 weeks after my youngest was born and she drives it school now occasionally. It went 11.9@115 with the stock heads/cam/shortblock. With ported factory heads and a little cam best was 11.2@124. Stepped up to a 6.6 with after market heads and a good sized cam a couple of years ago but never finished the tuning. It still is very rich at WOT. Intended build number was 600.

  27. You're assuming that they never go up in price. They could pass constitutional carry or politics in Nashville could change and 5 years from now they might be $100 a year. I just eliminated the gamble. By the way Oh Shoot, I'm not taking any financial advice from you since I listened to you before and bet all my money on Hillary.

  29. Shhhhhhhhhhhh.... don't tell the squirrels. Left: Chinese made CO2 moderated .22cal modified by Plinker4life and right customized by Plinker4life moderated Air Arms/CZ200 PCP .177 rifle. The CO2 is so quiet and fun to shoot at 20yrds and in, while the PCP can reach out a bit further and is slightly louder, but both "giggly" quiet. Hard to believe how much money I spent on .22lr long guns over the years when these are probably more fun to tinker with and shooting them is a blast. I see a 100yrd pellet rifle in my future.
