http://www.live5news.com/story/34848467/police-homeowner-fatally-shoots-home-invasion-suspect-2nd-suspect-arrested "The homeowner at that location, protecting his family, returned fire at the subject, and killed him as a result of the incident," Ollic said. Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury said an autopsy on White is still underway, but confirmed he was struck four times. Salisbury said the manner of death would be ruled a homicide, but added it would be ruled justifiable. "In Berkeley County, if you kick someone's door in and you get shot, as long as I'm the coroner, that's going to be a justifiable homicide," Salisbury said. Ollic said investigators believe the homeowner acted in self-defense and that the killing was justified. Not considered murder, but he homicided the out of him.3 points

It probably came from trade slang terminology. Like the junction box on an electric motor where you wire it up. it's called a "peckerhead" by electricians. Well us 64 year old ones anyway!! LOL3 points

Didn't go. He was in Nashville, Pence is in Florida.... WTH? And here I thought Obama was the "campaigner in chief" Pence trying to sell us on TrumpCare. No thanks! Sounds like the same as ObamaCare. http://www.theonion.com/article/gop-recommends-americans-set-aside-income-one-thei-555151 point

Yeah, I know you're right. But I'll do this to give them some grief, not to recover funds. I'm retired, got spare time, like to irritate smug bastages and their minions.1 point

Also considering taking this to a law firm in my area that has had some notable successes in consumer and taxpayer class-action lawsuits.1 point

I don't have any personal experience with their service work since I only buy parts from them. But it seems that they are held in high regard by pretty much anyone that dealt with them. David is active as "schmeky" on the CZ forum and will respond to any concerns, striving to do right with his customers if there are ever any questions. I think the only complaint is that they do a great job and cause people to spend more money on CZ guns, parts and upgrade services. But that's just the general curse of CZ ownership.1 point

Theater or not the 'ban' was obviously a big, middle finger from the Obast**d administration to gun owners, hunters and all the other 'clingers' His Highness so despised as they went out the door. If the regulation had been needed and meaningful why wouldn't they had put it in place two, four or even eight years ago? Personally, I think that every time an Obama regulation gets cancelled or repealed an angel gets its wings.1 point

I think originally the handle pieces or grips were only called scales if they were removable. But today the term scales has stuck.....it's what sellers of handle material call them as well as most knife makers.1 point

This may be my answer...when checking Alabama DL laws it listed 6 circumstances in which one does not have to get an Alabama DL and #6 stated: Any non-resident fulltime student, properly enrolled and registered in a school, college, university, or trade school in this state, who holds a valid license from his home state or country. This exclusion was not directly stated in the carry/weapon laws I have read for Alabama but I believe I will run with this. Thanks for the replies.1 point

I'm thinking an old Marlin Super Goose 10 would be more than adequate. The entire weapons system with ammo should only cost a few hundred bucks in startup and a coupla bucks per shot after that.1 point

Review of the Bourbon Trail, and a few pics attached. Fair warning, I did not take a ton of pictures. I'll start by saying that Maker's Mark was head and shoulders above the rest, and I took 12 tours. They just knocked it out of the park. Even if you don't enjoy their products the tour is worth the trip. The next tier belongs to Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve, Wild Turkey, and Jim Beam, and Bulleit (Stitzel). They were all pretty great. Angels Envy was also surprisingly cool, well worth a stop if you're in Louisville. These I would make it a point to visit if you're on the trail, even if you don't care for their product. The drive in to Woodford is worth it alone, absolutely stunning. The rest were all pretty meh. The tasting bar at 4 Roses is good, but the grounds are decidedly average. The remainder are fairly unremarkable, so unless you are a fan of a certain product, or are looking for an offering only sold at the distillery, I wouldn't consider them worth the time or drive.1 point

Seriously, who would have thought that the best information I could find on the web, about drinking Bourbon, would be on a gun forum? What's the connection? What came first, the Bourbon or the gun?1 point

New here - New to TN, new to TGO, and new to Bourbon. Over the past few days, I've read all 48 pages of this thread. Learned a lot. How does one get to be 60 years old and never try Bourbon? Except for Drambuie, which I do love, I've always been a beer drinker. But, the wife and I went out to eat a couple months ago, and the beer selection sucked, so I ordered one of my riding buddies' favorite drinks, Makers Mark with very little ice. Not to bad, so I tried it a few more times...Still good. Last week I stopped into the local store where I get my beer, and on a whim bought some 70/30 Black Label from Knox Whiskey Works, which is a relatively new distillery in Knoxville. Turns out it is a sourced product, but still pretty tasty. I happen to live in Knoxville, and it turns out I am down by the liquor store Mike.357 works at, pretty regularly. Hoping to stop there soon and meet him, and pick up some good beginner Bourbon to try. Thanks for all the information, gang.1 point
