I went with an SSP (single stroke pneumatic) so I didn't have to worry about having extra air with me. Mine is designed for 10m shooting, so it depends what you want to do with it as well. I bought it to play with in my basement. I have suppressors if I need to shoot anything outdoors close to the house. I just bought this FWB 601. It is in the process of getting a stock refinish to a darker stain as I am not into the light stocks.2 points

Seriously, who would have thought that the best information I could find on the web, about drinking Bourbon, would be on a gun forum? What's the connection? What came first, the Bourbon or the gun?1 point

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way. Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.1 point

Shhhhhhhhhhhh.... don't tell the squirrels. Left: Chinese made CO2 moderated .22cal modified by Plinker4life and right customized by Plinker4life moderated Air Arms/CZ200 PCP .177 rifle. The CO2 is so quiet and fun to shoot at 20yrds and in, while the PCP can reach out a bit further and is slightly louder, but both "giggly" quiet. Hard to believe how much money I spent on .22lr long guns over the years when these are probably more fun to tinker with and shooting them is a blast. I see a 100yrd pellet rifle in my future.1 point

Early Retirement Bonuses in the Military The Pentagon recently found it had too many generals and offered an early retirement bonus. They promised any general who retired straight away his full annual benefits plus $10,000 for every inch measured in a straight line between any two parts of the general's body, with the general getting to select any pair of points he wished. The first man, an Air Force general, accepted. He asked the pension man to measure from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. Six feet. He walked out with a check of $720,000. The second man, an Army general, asked them to measure from the tip of his outstretched hands to his toes. Eight feet. He walked out with a check for $960,000. When the third general, a grizzled old Marine, was asked where to measure, he told the pension man ... "From the tip of my penis to the bottom of my testicles." The pension man suggested that perhaps the Marine general might like to reconsider, pointing out the nice checks the previous two generals had received. The Marine insisted and the pension expert said that would be fine, but that he'd better get the medical officer to do the measuring. The medical officer attended and asked the general to drop the pants. He did. The medical officer placed the tape on the tip of the general's penis and began to work back. "My God!" he said. "Where are your testicles?" The general replied, "In Vietnam."1 point

That entire show was so disgustingly fake it was an embarasment to decent gun owners. He was obviously living beyond his means to the point of waving red flags in the face of the IRS and any creditors. Then he has the audacity to smirk in his mug shot. You won;t have to wait to long to suddenly learn of additional charges and misconduct allegations.1 point

If the antis made him continue to stock firearms in his non-FFL store, went in to buy them, convinced him to write them up as "miscellaneous sales" and send them over to a neighboring store with a valid FFL for the transfer, then yeah...maybe they staged it. That seems awful implausible to me. I'm betting he's guilty as sin and simply thought he could get away with it. Maybe we'll see some of the evidence presented during the trial. I'm not expecting a lot of coverage on this, but maybe someone will publish some info.1 point
