  2. Will it kill it, probably with perfect shot placement. Will it do it quickly and ethically, not for me. If she isn't in a neighborhood, use a 223 or something similar. At a Minimum, use a 22mag or 17HMR if you insist you have to use a rimfire. I know people don't like Coyote's, but there is no sense in being inhumane about it. There is too much room for error with a rimfire that makes it a poor choice for me.

  6. I tell ya' these are exciting times. Was gonna get me another top shelf 45 pistol but along came a youtube that really hit me. Late last year, a place called Flint River Armory came out with a piston driven 45acp carbine. Runs clean and very accurate so says the youtubers that i watch so far. Only downer i heard was it has a propietary mag. Sooo... Does anyone here have experience with one or know of one in stock that i could play with? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKmNB0HBVsc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0B2Iox__Zw

  7. I stopped by a friends pawn shop today to browse & spotted something that I apparently couldn't live without for another day. A stainless Ruger P89 in 9mm in really nice condition. I've never owned or even had the chance to shoot one, but most of what I hear from owners is positive. It certainly has a hefty feel & I like the grips. I regret selling my P95DC a few years back without ever shooting it. I'll make sure this one gets some range time.

  13. IANAL but it seems to me that the easiest way to handle it is if you are in the car with him then just make sure that the gun is on your person and the same with your wife.

  14. Save the C4 for a better project LagerHead LOL. My 550 is pushing 30 years old and Dillon did a rebuild on it a few years back. But I had the same problem you mention at one time. Dillon replaced my primer tube and sent me several new tips for it as well. All for free after I sent an e-mail explaining the issue. I keep a brass brush on my table and use it to keep the primer seating cup clean of residue. I tend to get "funk" buildup on the outside edges of the primer seating cup that will prevent the cup from coming completely back underneath the primer tube causing a very slight misalignment preventing a primer pickup. I just make sure I knock off that debris about every 1K-2K rounds. I also disassemble the primer pickup bar mechanism every 5K rounds or so and clean it up the same brass brush...no lube..and my 550 runs great. I am only loading 9mm on it at present and load at least 10 k per year. Works great for me. There's better uses for the C4!

  15. Yeah, I have to strop the 8Cr13MoV blade of the Resilience about once a week to bring it back to that 'razor blade' sharpness I mentioned earlier. After about a week it is still pretty sharp but I recently went maybe three weeks between stropping and ended up having to do a little, light sharpening on a diamond stone and then honing on the flat steel and finally stropping to get the edge back where I wanted it.

  16. That is correct. The M16 3 round burst is not always a 3 rd burst. It could be 3, 2, or 1. The HK MP5 2 and 3 round burst trigger packs work differently and give you the correct number each time. The bigger issue is simply that shooting is rather binary....you can either do it well or not. You can either hit what you aim at or not. If round #1 does not hit then rounds 2 and 3 in that burst are unlikely to hit either. So maybe more time should be spent on actually having the troops out SHOOTING and less on multicultural studies and other such silliness. With a little bit of training time and concentration you can get 2 rd (and sometimes singles) off with the selector set on AUTO on an M16. I have video from a few years back at a match (VHS tape not digital)) of shooting an 11.5" barrel M16 and I empty a mag firing consecutive 2 rd bursts with the selector set on AUTO....so I know it can be done. On the other hand a lot of guys who know what they are doing just simply leave it on SEMI and fire quick pairs or triples in CQB and precise singles at distance. Not only does this increase the likelihood of more hits and less misses, it keeps folks from burning through ammo as fast (with little to no effect) .

  17. ^That's as fast as I keep around the house. Any faster daily gets me in trouble. If I need faster short term I just drive a car home from the shop.

  18. I don't store guns in leather holsters, mostly because they won't fit in my safe in the holsters. I also tend to get sweaty and need to wipe the pistols down whenever I put them away. I store them in nylon pocket holsters to help prevent idiot marks in/out of the safe.

  19. Carl, Carl...when you go to kill someone, you have an automatic weapon in your hands, and he's standing right in front of you, YOU SHOOT, IDIOT!

  20. I think Ricks group could have easily defeated Nagan. He walks right up to the gate with his henchmen in a cluster behind him. 2 or 3 gunman inside the gate, 2 on the walls and a couple in the woods in hardened positions. Negan is the first to go, the others are in a crossfire. Without their leader and dropping like flies the saviors would lose the will to fight
