I made this from one of their cheap saw horses I bought on sale. I added some fake tennis balls that they sell for dogs 3 for a dollar most places and added a piece of plastic angle material I had around the shop. I drilled a hole in the balls with a spade bit and screwed the balls in place. Makes a light weight portable gun rack for my backyard range and comes in handy when I need to dig to the back of the gun safe.3 points

Tell them you want it tax exempt because you will pay tax on it when you register it in Tennessee.2 points

My check was in the mailbox today, exactly two months after sending off my bona fides. I had sworn off these dumb-ass rebates but got caught up in the fever.2 points

26,000lbs of brass? I'd have to carry a rifle in the dump truck when I went to get it in case a police pulled me over. Could you imagine? LEO: Son, where are you going in such a hurry? Me: Home to reload this brass so I can go back tomorrow and finish sighing this thing in!2 points

Within the next 6 Weeks, I will be purchasing the best water cooled sharpening system on the market, a Tormek T8 What this means for you the customer, is that as well as sharpening on my Wicked Edge system I will be offering any size fixed blade knives, sizzors and eventually wood carving tool sharpening the Tormek system uses water to cool the steel and in no way can hurt the temper of any steel, also since the Goodmans Gun and knife show has moved to Lebanon, I will be getting a booth at every show that goes on when I am home, my prices on sharpening with my Tormek will be maybe $2.00 more that the guys with the grinding wheels that can damage the tempered steel while sharpening, and with that extra $2.00 a mirror polished Finish will be added As usual my Wicked Edge prices will be the same as they are as it is justified by the wear and tear on my system as well as the time it takes me to sharpen look for the Badass Blades Logo on a banner at future shows, come and meet me and get your knifes sharpened1 point

That's right, a brand new Old Man Tool Store (Harbor Freight) is opening right here in Lebanon. Should have doors open by end of the month. Next door to TSC. And if you're wondering why it's called The Old Man Tool Store the next time you there just look around. All us cheap old Geezers will be there.1 point

Would love to shoot this but will be at All Army during this time. In past years we had to run 1.5 miles with weapon at this event. I found the best way for me to carry A4 is in a eberlestock gunslinger pack that is stripped.1 point

Well I’m not an attorney and don’t play one on TV, but it says you are exempt if you are carrying or possessing in a vehicle. As a former cop if I was arresting someone for having the gun on them I would need some language in the statute telling that was a violation; there isn’t any. However… the only person responsible for knowing what the law is, in the state you are in is you. So if anyone has concerns; they should check a source they trust.1 point

I just looked it up and I was wrong about TFA giving my info, so my bad on that. It was through their emails, but it was asking for people to attend a legislative rally to fight Insure Tennessee back when it was being debated two years ago. They framed it as "harm to your constitutional rights and protections" and that they were "locking arms" with other organizations to fight against the Medicaid expansion. So, not as bad as I mistakenly posted, but still, it irked me. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk just to give Oh Shoot something to be grumpy about.1 point

I am honored to announce a new title sponsor: 3GUN4VETS. This is an amazing company that helps our returning vets learn of a new brotherhood through 3-Gun. You'll be seeing some picture and name changes in the near future as I update various sites with their info, but in the mean time please check out their website and give them your support. Their generous sponsors will also be adding a significant load to our prize table! http://www.3gun4vets.com/3g4v-run-gun-presented-by-rockcastle1 point

Haven't seen anything on that yet. I'm on the email list, so maybe it'll show there. You can go on their website & sign up for coupons. You can print these out online, some better deals there. I printed out a couple this am. Doesn't cost to sign up. Good luck neighbor.1 point

Thanks for the opinions, I think I will join. I was active in the state wide group back in NY, not that it did much good but we tried. We actually was keeping the status quo for all but NY City till the Governor pushed his latest through in the middle of the night with no time for anyone to read what they were passing. Feel I should do the same here to be sure we don't go the way NY did so many years ago. I have really enjoyed living in America again after to long in NY. Grew up in Ohio and didn't know what we had there till I moved. My first boss was actually relieved when I showed up the first day. He had forgot to warn me about NY gun laws (this was way back in 69) and knowing I was coming from Ohio thought I might be driving out with a car load. Apparently they had a new employee detained the year before moving in from the midwest with a back seat full of guns.1 point

I guess that'd give me a reason to trade the single stage for a progressive1 point

Um, well, garsh, thx. Note that about half of what I note about them are the gray areas though, so don't take anything from me as legally authoritative in any way, eh? And if I were writing them, there'd be few if any of them there gray areas. - OS1 point

Sounds more like "I'm trying to work a trade but the guy wants a ton of brass or 13 to seal the deal".1 point

Considering what John Harris, the founder of TFA, says and does, they are very much about full 2d Amendment rights. They are currently pushing for constitutional carry and a lawsuit against knoxville over the parks law. So yeah.1 point

Royal Range is a Vendor on TGO, so while the format of the initial post may not include some of the information we were asking for back in 2012, the spirit of what we were after was met. Because it is so easy for anyone to advertise themselves as a "Trainer" regardless of credibility, we have had problems over the years with folks spamming the site to get their name out there. We've even had that problem from fairly established training organizations over the years. But RR is good to go as relates to this particular thread. Thanks for being on the watch for it, though.1 point

I've never completely bought into the black rifle mystique but slowly over time I'm coming around. The versatility and changeability of the system make it attractive to the firearms enthusiast who likes to play with gun stuff. It really is the "Barbie Doll" for guys that I always heard it was. Of the three calibers I've played with in this format (5.56, 300blk, 9mm) the 9mm is my present "fun gun." With all that said, "black rifles" may continue to increase market share based solely on its availability and appeal to younger shooters. I hope so just to see where all this development goes. Very interesting!!! I hope the prices continue to lower if for no other reason than it allows more folks to become involved in shooting.1 point
