Friend of mine today showed me this. This is exactly how some of my guns feel now after the election! Probably already posted here already, but deserves its own post. Love it!!!!!!4 points

PSA has GI mags for $7. Soon I'll make that throne of magazines I've been dreaming of, haha!4 points

What has changed? Would still wind up on BHO's desk, not Trump's. Bill needs to be refiled for the next Congress. Better, simply revise NFA, and remove both silencers and SBR at the least. - OS4 points

Finally got on my laptop and was able to get the pictures uploaded. Also, pulled my card today and had several videos of this deer this week and hadn't seen him before. Pretty cool to see him. The first video I watched is in the morning while I'm in the stand and never knew he was around. The second video at 426pm is when he was coming toward my stand. So thankful for this harvest, he was a good lookin 2 1/2 year old. Nevermind, videos are too big. Maybe I'll upload them to my YouTube and post them later.3 points

You know what's funny? A scope really makes a gun more deadly than a suppressor does. Give me iron sights and a suppressor at 400 yards and I can't hit you. Give me a scope at 400...you're dead.3 points

Guy at royal range said they we're coming in and buying 5 lowers at a time before the election. should be a lot of stuff pretty cheap when people need Christmas present money... I'll be here to help with that3 points

I turkey hunted last spring for the first time. I only saw deer. I've hunted deer every day this week and have seen 7 turkeys so far and no deer...3 points

I did the same thing a couple weeks ago. That's how I ended up building a rifle on election day, lol.3 points

Ok guys we have approximately 70 days or so to start bugging our legislative body to pass this act: https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/3799?resultIndex=76 Write your congressman and ask them to support this bill to get silencers off the NFA list, it's now one of the best times to see if this new administration is going to put up or face another turnover come two years from now.2 points

Thank you!! No more bucks unless he's a biggin now! I had a couple button bucks come through today and one doe. The doe was good size but never got out of the brush or areas with branches hindering my shot. Man I love deer season! Even when I don't bring something home!2 points

Same here no panic buying...but in support of Freedom yesterday I bought a 458 SOCOM 10" Upper. Wanted one for awhile as I have a 16" but when suppressed is REALLY long...so dropping 6" should make for a blast of a beast!2 points

No panic buying for me, just getting in on the savings. Got me a 10.5" WLV barrel coming in, and since I don't want to pay "taxes" it will be a pistol for now, so hopefully they nix silencers and SBRs off the NFA list soon.2 points

No, it can't. 114th Congress ends on Jan. 3, 2017. Bills do not "carry over" to a new Congress, or a new President after the Congress ends -- must be resubmitted through the process. - OS2 points

4-5 months ago brass 223 (wolf gold, pmc) was available for $299/k delivered from a few online retailers. As Hillary's lead (or so we were told) became stronger it crept up a bit to the $330ish mark mentioned above. Remember, the price was still falling when it hit $300 but then went right back up a bit. Unlike 22lr, we haven't really experienced an extended draught of 223, just price spikes and then softening. I honestly expect the nottom to fall out of gun sales for awhile, especially EBRs. No reason to horde and panic now, and most folks on the fence bought theirs last week. Sorry, Springfield. (referencing the Saint) I think we will see a continued softening in the tacticool market. And when lowers get back down to $38 each, I'm buying a dozen. ;-) Oh, and $7 GI mags?!? Count me in!2 points

I think an FNX 45 or FNX 45 Tactical is in my future. https://www.fnamerica.com/products/handguns/fnx-series/fnx-45/ https://www.fnamerica.com/products/handguns/fnx-series/fnx-45-tactical/2 points

You are a bit far but if you want a deer I would be more than happy to harvest one for you if the chance presents itself. I give two or three away each year as I only keep one for myself. If no one closer can hook you up, PM me and maybe we can work out the details.1 point

If anyone here in Middle Tennessee gets more than there freezers can hold I will be more than glad to pay processing on one if someone wants to give one up. I had a member give me 1 last year and it was very much appreciated. I can't get out and hunt them any more due to health but ain't to proud to beg................1 point

The Shilen is a hand lapped heavy profile match barrel. Mine is REAL accurate. If you are going to shoot long range, accuracy is first. If you're building a hunting gun for shorter ranges, get the light barrel. AFIK, Alexander doesn't make their own.1 point

My suggestion would be to go out to some of the matches in our area to get a feel for it. Doing it is the only real way to know what you like and want. There are lots of good groups and matches around Nashville. We shoot every weekend in Dickson and indoors in Franklin Tuesday nights.1 point

Scores posted: https://practiscore.com/results/new/28239 Special thanks to Kris from DTV Tactical Innovations for bringing some cool toys to play with! Also a reminder this was our last match at Sumner Gun for the year. We still have a few left at Royal Range so come out and play there on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.1 point

I'm a hoarder by nature, so yea I have a buttload of mags, etc, but that's ot necessarily election related. Funny enough, the last gun I bought was a single shot 444 Marlin... not exactly on the endangered species list, lol!1 point

I think once I get a job after graduation, and settle down somewhere, a .300BLK upper build is in my future. If I'm lucky, suppressors may be off the list or at least much cheaper/easier to process than they are now. If the entire SBR thing is nixed, I'd even build a dedicated lower for it instead of having it for my already approved SBR.1 point

Well, I figuered if Hillary won I could make a small fortune and if Trump won, everyone in my family would be well armed. Everyone is now well armed. I do need more AK's. Maybe Trump can get that door opened back up. A $700 WASR is just crazy. I miss converting Saiga's for dirt cheap.1 point

You don't see much about this gun, but I bought the tactical one for the threaded barrel and taller sights. This has become one of my favorite guns for sure. Buy it you won't regret it.1 point

Dunno. I have been regularly buying 22 for a nickel a pop for months now. Will it go down another cent and a half? Doubt it. Maybe just a smidge more, but I don't think I'll see $14.97/550 again. What I want to see is brass cased .223 or 5.56 at $225/1000.1 point

I guess I am missing something, but it must be a miserable way of going about ones day to always be looking over your shoulder and on high alert. Yes, there are some bad people out there, but man relax a bit.1 point

Now do not laugh, tools needed to adjust or change Glock rear sights? Small hammer, Brass punch, vice, piece of leather. O, and the want and will to hammer on your pistol. We have 7 Glocks, I have done this before. No I will not hammer on yours. It really is not that hard, the first one I did I knocked out the factory sights and hammered in Trijicon sights. After I lost my cherry the rest were easy.1 point

You could chance letting your permit 'expire'....and reapply after Jan 1 for the lifetime permit at the new $200 rate. You still have 6 mos from expiration date to renew without having to take the class over............of course technically speaking, you have no permit for a couple of months. I would want to check just to make sure that would work with the DOS, but looks like it would.1 point
