  1. But, I will be buying some guns to celebrate this win for freedom, liberty and the preservation if 2A!

  2. - so I bought (2) TGO lowers in the group buy, and just finished them a little while ago. They were purchased with the intent that, when my son and daughter are grown up, I will pass them down - one to each. Since Justice Scalia died, and Clinton surged in the polls, I have known that the chances of me being able to pass them down to my children were getting more slim each day. That's the consequence of policy drift. Tonight, as I seem to breath easier about my own political concerns, I think about those who have been scared by the media's whipping Trump's words into a frenzy. He seem to acknowledge tonight that the "show" was over, and it's time to work. So, it seems, policy will drift toward a conservative line. I have a hope that we can all be gracious in this victory - that the country will find Trump supporters firm on needed change, yet well spoken, kind, and aware of the impacts of that change on men, women, and children who are just like us. - and I hope my kids get to pass these rifles down to their children in time.

  3. So, now that Trump will be president, what am I going to do with all these extra AR's and receivers? How low well they go? [emoji6]

  4. Probably because they bought stuff they didn't need/want right now with money they don't have and can't realistically justify it to either themselves or their spouse now. No offense to members posting on here, it's obviously a joke, but I have heard a few people before the election say to max out as many credit cards as you can and buy ARs.

  5. I have an old friend who likes to shoot that M22 through his Russian made CM2 at 300yrds. I would like to walk into an ammo selling store and stare at 20 different kinds of .22 rimfire on the shelf again while still being able to buy off the shelf bricks of CCI Standard Velocity. Even though that sounds like fantasy it was like that not so long ago.

  6. I'd say for at least half the country it's just another day going back to work to pay the bills. The difference today is we can feel extra refreshed after showering in liberal tears.

  7. Well, I figuered if Hillary won I could make a small fortune and if Trump won, everyone in my family would be well armed. Everyone is now well armed. I do need more AK's. Maybe Trump can get that door opened back up. A $700 WASR is just crazy. I miss converting Saiga's for dirt cheap.

  9. Waynesville, my family lives in Waynesville and Maggie Valley which is about 15 minutes anyway. Don't think I could make it through the Holliday's alone so thank God my house sold in one day and when I went to NC I was able to find what I wanted. I know I am only a click away here, just wanted to let you all know that I will not be local. Joe W.

  15. Shouldn't all the libs be out buying guns to protect themselves from the oppression on the way from the Donald and his Minions?

  18. There will be plenty to complain about when we try to fix these travesties that have been shoved down our throats. The debt and bloated economy will probably be the biggest impact. The house of cards has to come down, it's a matter of how gingerly it can be dismantled.

  19. Well said....I hope he has the wisdom to appoint folks around him that can guide him and those people be gracious enough to serve for the good of the country and not themselves.

  21. Thank the good Lord above, I finally had something that wasn't a yearling or doe with fawns in tow! I've hunted every weekend sun up to sun down during bow, never drew it back. Saturday was in the blind for 11 hours, Sunday for 12. My neck and back were killing me. Had a spike walking 20 yards along side of me on the way in the woods Monday and he crossed my path right in front of me. I thought man if you only knew I haven't harvested a deer this year lol. But I let him walk. An hour later he came right by me again, I whispered to myself "Lil feller 3rd time your gonna be on a biscuit!" No third time happened so he must have heard me. This morning I jumped a deer on the way in, then had a small yearling come by at about 7am. Didn't see a thing the rest of the day until I bleated this one in. I had a decoy out and he came right towards it, stopping, stomping slightly, and then easing towards it again. I thought "How cool is this!?" Never used a decoy before. I shot him with my brand new CVA Optima V2. Using Hornady XTP and he didn't go 20 yards. I'm so happy to have my first deer for the season and my wife is even happier. She and my daughter have been wearing me out about being out of deer meat! Ill have to post a picture later, says file is too large Anyway it's a six pointer, young deer with goofy character in his racks but good size body and so blessed to have harvested him today! Going back in the morning to bust some coyotes hopefully, they've been running deer the past couple weeks.

  22. Ok guys we have approximately 70 days or so to start bugging our legislative body to pass this act: https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/3799?resultIndex=76 Write your congressman and ask them to support this bill to get silencers off the NFA list, it's now one of the best times to see if this new administration is going to put up or face another turnover come two years from now.

  25. I think once I get a job after graduation, and settle down somewhere, a .300BLK upper build is in my future. If I'm lucky, suppressors may be off the list or at least much cheaper/easier to process than they are now. If the entire SBR thing is nixed, I'd even build a dedicated lower for it instead of having it for my already approved SBR.

  28. What has changed? Would still wind up on BHO's desk, not Trump's. Bill needs to be refiled for the next Congress. Better, simply revise NFA, and remove both silencers and SBR at the least. - OS

  31. I like it very much. It's all I use for loading for AR rounds. I sure thought it was in my manuals- at least one. Pretty sure its in the Hornady manual. If not, you can go to the Hodgdon website.

  35. Joe, North Carolina is a beautiful state; you could do far worse than moving there. But one thing I noticed while in NC this last week myself is that they too have the Internet and I was able to get onto TGO from there as well. I hope that we still see you around! Take care and Godspeed.

  40. It's designed entirely to frustrate you. Specifically. Those are the most recent people who have logged into the forum and been active in browsing. There's an option to turn that off, but it would confuse and frustrate you even more by showing only people who are in your "Contacts" list within the forum. And hell if I know where that's managed.

  42. Picked up a few bottles of Elmer T. Lee today. I've been looking for it for a while. I had my first pour this evening, and I must say that it definitely lives up to all the praises. I'll have to watch myself and just have this for an occasional pour given its scarcity, otherwise I could see the bottles becoming empty very quickly. 45. In the first week of September, I purchased a Dead Air Wolverine PBS-1 suppressor from the good folks at the Capitol Armory. I received an email yesterday stating that the Form 3 transfer to my dealer had been approved. It is with great pleasure that I present to you the Dead Air Wolverine PBS-1 Suppressor, my friends! Dead Air Wolverine PBS-1 x Romanian AES-10B RPK. Dead Air Wolverine PBS-1 x Romanian WASR 10 A special thank you to the Capitol Armory for sending out my suppressor yesterday afternoon via the overnight shipping option. They had a very small window to work with but they made it happen. Their customer service is truly exceptional. As a result, they have earned my business moving forward. As always, I greatly appreciate the Nashville Armory for squaring me away!
