I will be mixing it up some. (rifle, shotgun, freestyle) for the last three matches. Check back here to be sure of the schedule and what type of match. More information later. Robert4 points

I guess I am missing something, but it must be a miserable way of going about ones day to always be looking over your shoulder and on high alert. Yes, there are some bad people out there, but man relax a bit.4 points

As the old Indian chief once said, Only the white mans government could come up with the idea that you can cut a foot off one end of the blanket and sew it on the other end to make it longer. I hate daylight savings time. Just leave it alone. Or even better go back to everyone working sun up to sun down and don't even worry about what time it is beyond morning, noon, or evening.3 points

It has been a long time since I last posted about Sigs monthly giveaways, maybe over a 1 or 2 years. Any hoot, are you in my friend? http://www.sigsauer.com/TeamSig/Sweepstakes.aspx2 points

After they sold them the case, do they say, "look, we went ahead and printed a label with your gun's S# and other info and stuck it on the case for you" when they bring it out of the back?... I agree with others, that shop needs to be outted. What they are doing with the magazines and cases is likely illegal.2 points

Shops like that are proof we'll eat our own for a buck.2 points

Looks cool. Not for me though. I'd have to go with something along the lines of burnt bronze. Yeah...I'm not a flashy sort of guy. Unless you consider that one instance a few years back....2 points

Just received word that Everything Weapons is expecting some HK VP9's in soon and will be selling them for $559.99 as part of their "door buster" (pun intended) to help generate some revenue after the recent break-in and upcoming repairs.2 points

Until its stolen from you in the spring... I hate it - dark at 4pm just blows chunks.2 points

My local GS pulls stunts like this. They take the extra factory mags that come with every handgun & then sell them separately for full retail. Every handgun they sell only includes one magazine so they have shelves full of Glock, Beretta, & S&W mags in zip lock bags they push on people. They do this with factory handgun hard cases too. Despicable way to do business! Tell your friend that I'll gladly give him some info on how to recognize & avoid scams...for $19.95 + S&H.2 points

Capital is who I've used for my Dead Air. They treated me very well. How hard was is to have to hand the can back over? I just picked up my very last firearm for a while. I put a C39 Micro AK pistol on layaway a bit ago. Paid it off and picked it up today. Usa gonna be a dedicated truck gun.2 points

The site is gorgeous and well suited for a range- my legs were sure tired hiking up that big hill! With the larger area we'll be able to have Saturday tournaments and still have member use of the the other parts of the range - a major improvement over our current cramped situation.1 point

I understand your point. Honestly, I wish I could. My profession requires a little more attention to my surroundings. The vast majority of my "clients" have a criminal record. I make decisions daily that affects their lives greatly. These are not always "favorable" decisions. So, in an effort to relax, I try to make small changes in my behavior that allows me not to be looking over my shoulder all day, I.e using a stall in public. It may be over the top to some but to me, is an adjustment that really doesn't cost a thing.1 point

I hate the time change. My toddler didn't get the memo. She normally gets up around 6:30a. Anyone care to guess what time she came bouncing down the stairs this morning? Plus, sunrise today is 6:58a. Sunset is 5:28. I normally work a couple extra hours a day and the time change means i get to the office around sunrise and leave around sunset. For someone who works inside all day and LOVES to be outside when not at work, this sucks. I can handle the cold if i could keep the sun around a little later1 point

I think if I were to dish out that kind of money I would probably just go a little more and get a P227... Or the 21 and a half case + of ammo.1 point

It was just too friggin hot to hunt on the juvenile hunt last weekend, so little man went with me this morning and got his first buck. We saw a bunch of deer moving this morning. One really good buck; but he presented no shot. Patience ran out when this one walked by. I love how excited a kid gets. I miss that as I get older, but it's still fun to see in others. This was the first shot he's ever fired with a muzzleloader.1 point

No real reason for daylight saving time. There's still 24 hours is a day.1 point

I guess it makes me some kind of blood thirsty warped psycho, but I LOVE hearing stories like this. I'm always glad to hear 2 scumbags died trying to rob someone. I mean, I'm sorry he has to deal with the hassle, but it's better than the alternative.1 point

For those of us with young kids it's horrible. Totally worthless. I wish the entire country would shift a half hour and stop with the time change entirely.1 point

I bet they sell .22 in zip lock baggies from Walmart-bought bulk packs as well. Stores like that will never see a dime of my money or me darken their door. Personally, I think they should be outed right here so someone doesn't get screwed. I'll leave it to management to determine what is acceptable but supporting LGS's can only go so far.1 point

In the first week of September, I purchased a Dead Air Wolverine PBS-1 suppressor from the good folks at the Capitol Armory. I received an email yesterday stating that the Form 3 transfer to my dealer had been approved. It is with great pleasure that I present to you the Dead Air Wolverine PBS-1 Suppressor, my friends! Dead Air Wolverine PBS-1 x Romanian AES-10B RPK. Dead Air Wolverine PBS-1 x Romanian WASR 10 A special thank you to the Capitol Armory for sending out my suppressor yesterday afternoon via the overnight shipping option. They had a very small window to work with but they made it happen. Their customer service is truly exceptional. As a result, they have earned my business moving forward. As always, I greatly appreciate the Nashville Armory for squaring me away!1 point

After Maduro shut down the recall election two weeks ago the consensus is that Venezuela is now officially a dictatorship. Unfortunately, Maduro doesn't have the charisma that Chavez had. And, as a former bus driver he doesn't have the skills to run a country either. They'll kill him before it's done. I pray for the people there. Hard to believe that only 30 years ago they were more or less a first world economy. It ought to be a cautionary tale of how quickly a strongman can screw stuff up with the support of public willing to turn their heads because they're getting promised what they think they want.1 point

I received an email from David Cooper this morning. The store re-opens today. M&P Shields for $369.99 in both 9mm and .40SW.1 point

Tension wire uses a single 12.5 Guage wire as opposed to 2 15.5 gauge wires in typical barbed. Stretching tension wire is done with a spring (http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/zareba-tensioning-spring?cm_vc=-10005) and rachet (http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/heavy-duty-wire-strainer?cm_vc=IOPDP1). Posts can be up to 50 ft apart as well as the you only need wooden posts on the ends. If something pushes or falls on tension wire the spring will take the shock and shouldn't break the fence. As the wire streaches (as all wire does) a quick turn of the rachet will tighten it back up. As for cost 15g barb is $39.99 for 1320ft while tension is $99.99 for 4000 ft. http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/red-brand-high-tensile-smooth-wire-200-000-psi-4-000-ft1 point

I put in a transfer switch as well. If you are familiar with wiring it is pretty easy.1 point

I have the Black Max from Sam's Club that Hozzie mentioned. It will run lights, refigerator, deep freeze and electric water heater since only one element is active at the same time. I suggest a manual transfer switch be installed. I am not a electrician but have been told there is a slight chance current can be sent to grid with main braker turned off. I didn't want the liability of possibly killing a lineman so I had a electrician install a transfer switch.1 point

I don't know if the landowner would allow it, but I certainly would have bollards in front of my stores for the sake of security.1 point

If possible store the firearm with the slide locked back... I've had some places ask to visually see the firearm is unloaded, having the magazine out and the slide locked back results in me not having to handle the firearm. Otherwise it's a simple process.1 point
