I don't know if the landowner would allow it, but I certainly would have bollards in front of my stores for the sake of security.10 points

Hope it's okay to post my own recent purchases here. Well, I bought a PSA AK-47 Gen 2 after seeing the AK Operators Union give it a very favorable review after it survived the gauntlet and accuracy tests. I picked up the base model and immediately had to strip it down. I tuned it slightly by polishing the slide ramps and hammer face then put some American made refinished dark red furniture on it. The furniture needed quite the fitting on it all, but I got it to work. In the end, I think it looks great! Now to the range...6 points

I'd all but guarantee these s.o.b.s aren't strangers to law enforcement. I blame our justice system for a lot of this crap.2 points

I wish they were allowed to install claymores so when the bars break the only thing left behind is corn beef hash packaged inside their stolen cars.2 points

This seems to where it is becoming a trend with driving a vehicle through the front of a gun store. I truly hope they catch the A$$ $oles that did this and I truly hope David and family did not lose much of any value..............2 points

Would get in trouble for saying what I hope actually happens to these thieves, so I will replace that with a simple "I hope they catch them"2 points

I don't mean to seem snarky but why does that matter? It wouldn't take more than 3-5 minutes to clean a place out. Cops would have had to be around the corner in order to catch these guys.2 points

Well, I don't even follow baseball anymore, but hey, actually watched most of this one tonight. The Cubs are in the World Series for the first time since before I was born! (last appearance, 1945, last win, 1908) -OS1 point

Just finished this on Netflix and holy crap what an excellent film. It tells the story of an Irish unit deployed (and hung out to dry) on a UN peacekeeping mission during the Congo Crisis of 1961. It also has lots of wonderful FAL goodness.1 point

I went to an auction yesterday, and watched a rough top break 32 H&R revolver that didn't even lock up correctly sell for a thousand dollars! An auction can be quite entertaining if the right folks show up.1 point

For those of you who liked the DaVinci Code books, movies, or whatever... Don't waste your money on Inferno. I won't ruin it with a spoiler, but here's an honest review: A few edgy spots in the first hour of the movie, not as much into the puzzle stuff as the first movies. Then BAM there was a plot twist, a major one out of nowhere that was supposed to be OMG WTF, but was instead.. Good lord that just ruined the entire movie kind of plot twist. The best part of the movie was when I dozed off for 5 or 10 minutes in the theater. Was a comfy chair. Save your money.1 point

Congrats on your MPX carbine. I have the MPX gen 1 pistol with a Trijicon MRO. The batteries are still good after a little over 12 months being on constantly.1 point

Agree with @TGO David Best Buy and other stores have these. Or how about some IED's placed inside the walls....1 point

Perhaps they could put in a little extra effort and contour them to match the proportions of some common rounds.1 point

As of today, I have not used smokeless tobacco for four weeks. I had used it almost half of my 41 years on this earth, but decided it was time to quit. It has not been easy, but it has not been as difficult as I feared. I am over the physical nicotine withdrawal for a couple of weeks now, but the situational habit of having a dip in when shooting or going to gun stores or just driving is still very strong at times. I thank God, and my wife for encouraging, not nagging, me in this. If this is something you need to do, do it.1 point

I'm just saying what every single person on here is thinking. Stuff really gets under my skin... We (law abiding people) get hammered with gun laws, and just like Greg said, these criminals steal ####ing guns and ruin someone's store/livelihood and get off with slaps on the wrist if they ever are even caught with stolen firearms in tow.1 point

Golden Eagle? They haven't been seen here in quite a while It takes a juvenile Bald Eagle 4-5 years to get its white feathers, until then they're basically all brown. Bald Eagles have a very distinctive call, and it's nothing like you hear in the movies (which is typically a Red Tailed Hawk call).1 point

Within days of acquiring my first Chinese MAK-90, I have officially acquired my second. I met with a local collector this afternoon and we did a bit of horse trading. The rest, as they say, is history! Double Trouble1 point

You are right. They will never come to take the guns. First they will require registration. Then they will outlaw certain types of firearms. Then they will require everyone to turn them in. The one day 5 years later while you are on vacation a neighbor will find you door open and the police will come and find a gun. Or you will have a fire and the fire department will find a gun. Then you will be arrested and get 5 years in a federal prison. Then your neighbors will throw theirs in the lake.1 point

Sig MPX carbine, extra mags with mag pouch, and three Vortex Spitfire AR 1X optics. I started wearing glasses two years ago, have astigmatism, and the etched reticle works much better for my eyes than red dots.1 point

Not me, those things are dangerous. I had a staple gun once, but it made me nervous even having it unloaded in the garage. I turned it in at a buyback to make sure it stayed off the street. They didn't give me anything for it, but I felt better knowing I had done my community a service.1 point

Doesn't bother me. XDs are I guess my main handgun platform, but I chose them because of dependability plus handling characteristics, and features that the Glock doesn't have. "Made in Croatia" was no more a detriment to me than "Made in Austria" at the time I bought my first one. And apparently unlike still lots of folks, I knew that Springfield Armory Inc. of Geneseo, IL had no real connection with the original Springfield Armory of Springfield, MA. - OS1 point

So, I am all for the sane-ness of our leader in this endeavor. I hate that it's gone, though. Maybe TT will get their #### together one of these days. The reason I like TT is that it centralizes the forums that I participate, and places them in one app on my mobile screen. Yes, I can make a shortcut and all that, but it's a good user interface. I'm not a "live or die" with the forum and TT, but I sure wish it would work just plug-and-play like it's supposed to.1 point
