  1. UPDATE 10/21/2016 @ 11:00AM Central The month of October has not been an easy one for us. Server issues have plagued TGO since we migrated from an old virtual server to a new virtual server at the end of September. Performance has never been up to par with what we had previously. Today I have done two things: I have upgraded the forum software to the latest. The software authors say that performance improvements are contained within the code, and we certainly need performance improvements. I have ordered a brand new dedicated server with a different host company. The new server is very stout and we will share it with no one. It is 100% dedicated to TGO. I will be moving us to it sometime this weekend. Basically I am tired of playing games with our hosting company. They've had a month to help sort this out. It's time to cut bait and go somewhere else, which is precisely what I will be doing. It's going to cost me a few hundred extra dollars this month in order to give the old company their requisite 30-day notice to discontinue service while paying the new hosting company their fee as well, but I think it will be worth it. If you've bought a Benefactor membership lately, thank you. Especially in light of the performance problems, thank you! If you haven't but have been thinking about it, every dollar helps me cover the expenses of divorcing ourselves from the previous hosting company. More to come. Hopefully our bad days are almost behind us.

  5. Ordered this holster the other day and it just came in. Now I have not put it through any paces yet but I wore it around the house all afternoon with shorts and a t-shirt and you could not tell I was carrying a G26. I even went out in the dark wearing it with my new flashlight (that's an entirely different thread LOL). It held everything well and felt good wearing it. I am a big guy (6'3", 285) so finding something that is comfortable can be tough. Also finding something that could be worn with a suit is really tough. Normally I just pocket carry a 380 or something but this will allow multiple options. http://www.brshooting.com/product/braveholster/ My first impression is very positive. Plus it is 100% USA made. I plan on giving it a good workout this weekend. I searched and didn't find anything about this on the forum so curious if anyone else has this and their thoughts.

  6. Hey folks, just wanted to share that xtreme is running free shipping right now, and as of this morning, 5% off 115gr 9mm rn plated bullets. That's $38.xx for 500 bullets, no minimum. Shipping from them is usually $5 or cheap anyways, so not a huge deal if you normally order by the pallet, but if you just wanna try a box or two, this is pretty good, imho.

  7. .357 Sig is pretty expensive. 5.7x28 is pretty expensive. It's not better than a rifle. It's not better than a rifle cartridge pistol. For pure S&G's I say two thumbs up. For anything that has to do with serious hunting, self defense, or competition I would pass.

  8. I was in western Nebraska yesterday, just a little south of Scottsbluff. I didn't realize there were moose in the area, from a distance I thought it was a loose horse.

  11. $300 for a new pressure tank from Lowe's, $1250 for the guy (crane truck, 3 new sections of pipe, new pump, hook it all up), and the horses have water again! Money well spent (new pump and pipe should last me a while), but all the same, there's soooo many other things I'd have rather used that money for, LOL! Thanks everyone. - K

  13. So apparently the Ole Miss QB ain't too bright and keeps trying to hit on a porn star in her private messages. The girl keeps posting the private messages as both rejection, and to shame him. She's a Florida fan or something I think. Maybe FSU. Regardless, since he hasn't been getting the hint, PornHub has extended an offer to him. And this is pretty hilarious.

  18. I wish. I really feel robbed on that point. "Don't do acid!" they said. "You'll have flashbacks!" they said. But have I ever gotten a flashback? Nooooooooo. I think they were just full of it. I don't know anybody who has ever experienced a flashback like they used to say would happen in all those Nancy Reagan just say no classes. Lyin' jerks.

  24. I found the Candidate Forum pretty helpful: http://smyrna.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=4&clip_id=1980 Steve Sullivan is good dude and a former Marine. I also liked what Morrell and Wesnofske had to say. One thing I did not like was Bob New saying we should look into banning fireworks because his granddaughter burned herself last year. So because a small % of people get injured we should all suffer? Sounds like the left's arguments against firearms. He gets a thumbs down.
