  1. Until now, the nicest scope I've ever owned is a Leupold Rifleman 3-9x40. Always had Busnell and Simmons scopes for years. Some of them were nice quality so I'm not downing them but the Leupold stood out way ahead when I bought it. I finally saw the light of putting as much money in glass as the rifle. I've been doing some long range shooting with some friends of mine and it got me very interested, yet quickly found the limits of my current scope. Now don't get me wrong, I'd love to buy a Nightforce 5-25 but 1) My wife would beat me with it and 2) I just simply can't afford it. But I have been doing a lot of research and decided my needs would be nicely met with a Vortex Viper HS-T 6-24x50. It should be here tomorrow and I cannot wait!! Honestly this scope cost to me feels like I did buy a Nightforce haha. Maybe one day I'll be able to afford one down the road. I have a set of QD A.R.M.S. 30mm rings in the safe so I may use them for now until I can afford a new set of rings. Vortex, Badger Ordinance, and Nightforce are the rings I'm deciding on since they all have some nice products. Some nicer than others and price definitely reflects this. I'll have to do some research for height per ring manufacturer before I buy though. Anyway, I know I'm in trouble for not having pictures but will post when I get it mounted. HS Precision stock for the Rem 700 SPS Tactical will be the next necessity for sure since the Hogue flexes way more than I want.

  2. I usually soak any meat in buttermilk that I want to fry but I tried doing what everyone else does and did it in eggwash. It worked out good, here's my chickenfried deer steak strips. And to keep this firearm related , I shot this deer last year with my home defense Mossberg 500 LOL. I sold my muzzleloader and my lever-action rifle so I now hunt with shotgun. I had a lot more strips but this was the first batch out of the pan. This was some front leg meat .

  3. So apparently the Ole Miss QB ain't too bright and keeps trying to hit on a porn star in her private messages. The girl keeps posting the private messages as both rejection, and to shame him. She's a Florida fan or something I think. Maybe FSU. Regardless, since he hasn't been getting the hint, PornHub has extended an offer to him. And this is pretty hilarious.

  7. You can get a much nicer rifle for that price. I could be in the minority but I don't understand why anyone would want the fixed front site and those hand guards.

  8. Speaking of stocks... with that 24x scope, you will find that an adjustable cheek piece is real helpful in getting head lined up. a 24x scope is finicky. It will wink at 24x.

  12. Freshwater wells are expensive. Once your pump and wiring are replaced make sure to insulate the replacement well house. Whenever you build a house look at using water barrels and a cistern. It's a lot cheaper to use filtered rain water to take care of livestock and gardens then it is to use well water. Electrically powered pumps draw a lot of amperage which equates to a lot of money.

  16. I helped a man with his well years ago, like yours it was deep, 100 feet IIRC. We used a rope (bad idea),the rope hit the side of the pipe about 3/4 way down. cut the rope, what a mess, took us hours to get it back up as the rope jammed on top of the pump. He used a plastic pipe that was flexible, we used the pipe to pull it back up. Your case is ridged pipe, it takes a crane to lift and hold so it can be unscrewed. you do not want 100 feet of pipe sticking up in the air, it will fall. You could build a rig, use a come a long, make a clamp to hold the pipe up so to reset the come a long for the next lift. My guess it would take more than a few hours. Rig would need to be big think wood or steel, gona cost a good bit, plus the come a long. Spend the money and let someone else take a chance on dropping the mess back down the well, you get to sit back and watch. The price is not that bad.

  27. I am pretty sure we have all the books in the collection. We have an entire wall of our living room that is a solid bookshelf. I would estimate that we have easily over 1500 books in our home. We were sad to hear of her passing, Llama Llama Red Pajama was honestly my favorite book to read to my daughter at bedtime when she was still into things like that.

  32. So after watching that, is there any way it's not Abraham? Has to be close enough to get blood on Rick's face, and leave a puddle of brain matter in view of a "behind Rick" camera as it pans down from camper.

  33. It's anticipatory panic. If Hildebeast wins, there will be attacks on our sport and everyone knows it. Nobody knows exactly what form it will take, but we all know it would be arriving under her watch. It's faux panic in the sense that nothing is currently becoming law to create restrictions. But it's real panic because the likelihood of that happening is increasing.

  39. I doubt it. An arrow leaves a pretty large wound when you consider the width of the blades and how much tissue it cuts. A FMJ leaves a little hole and does not do much damage. Thats why they are illegal.
