  1. Woke up this morning to reports of the shooting at the Cascades Mall in the Seattle, WA area. Then I saw the security camera footage of the perp and the claims from law enforcement and the media that he appears to be Hispanic. Does that guy look Hispanic to you? Because he doesn't look Hispanic to me. He looks like a young Arabic male. I'm not saying that the officials and media out there are tripping over themselves to avoid calling it another act of Islamic terror, but I might be thinking it.

  2. I hear what you're saying about profiling, but folks have really let the leftists turn that into a bad word. We all profile, and we are all profiled. It's a viable, valuable tool. But I digress! The facial features don't look like those commonly shared by Hispanics any more than I look like Mike Tyson. Maybe I'm wrong and it's just bad camera footage, but this guy's appearance in this photo doesn't fit their narrative in my opinion.

  3. How many times has the news ever reported that a hispanic has gone into a mall and started a shooting spree just shooting people at random? Then how many times has an islamic terrorist walked in and done it? I myself have never heard of a hispanic doing it but maybe someone else has.............jmho

  9. Not sure how big a mag she had, but it's a good reminder that ammo expenditure and adrenaline have a correlation. Lucky for her the third intruder got out the way he went instead of doubling back to the front door.

  12. Cant really tell anything from that pic. My brother is Italian and American Indian, he can and has passed for either of those, plus various Hispanic nationalities, Indian from India, black Irish, and middle eastern. Now, that's not to say I don't have my suspicions, just merely that I don't think anyone in the media, or possibly even eye witnesses would be reliable at this point.

  13. I am not comparing MOST PEOPLE to animals. I am sure there are a food stamp recipient or two rioting in charlotte and them I will call animals that not only are doing that but we have to feed. I saw two things online. ONe I cant find was talking about the same department of the government that handles food stamps has signs up at national parks ( It has to be separate departments though) with signs up saying not to feed the animals. If you feed them they will become lazy and not look for food on their own. Now there is merit to that the way some people view food stamps, wic, welfare, section 8 and so forth as a way of life or reparations. The other talks about needing to make it as not comfortable Put me in charge ... Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job. Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tats and piercings, then get a job. Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your “home” will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place. In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a “government” job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the “common good.” Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules.. Before you say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self esteem,” consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem. If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

  14. Wow, the wait is finally over (for us bow hunters anyway)! The last month has flown by for me. I bought a Mathews Switchback from my uncle who took excellent care of it. Put new everything on it including new cam for my draw length. I absolutely love this bow! Cannot wait to get in the ladder stand tomorrow. I also finally upgraded my climber. Been using a Summit Classic Viper for about 15 years. It's been a great stand, heavy but great. I went to Bass Pro and picked up a new Viper SD and the 9 less pounds are noticeable:) I want to wish everyone a successful season but only after I strongly wish that you ALL wear your harness while in the stand! Come home to your family after every hunt safely. May your aim be true!!

  18. What an awesome reason to have to buy another stand! I didn't see a dang thing. As the sun dropped it didn't cool off either. I was sweating the entire time, hell they probably smelled me and stayed way away haha.

  19. That climber is great! I think I lost mine though... my son (13) finally showed some interest and went with me this evening. He used my Viper SD and I used an older steel one similar to it. He absolutely loved it and said he wants to go all the time... then he asked if he could use that climber because it was so much fun and comfortable. Of course I said "sure". I'll gladly get another Viper SD or use the heavy one if he'll start going with me. We saw a doe and fawn in the plowed up power line food plot, so he got a dose of adrenalin. I let them walk because I don't like shooting mama with baby. I'm planning to seed that plot tomorrow before it rains monday, so it should be a great spot.

  20. Bob I can help if you don't mind shipping. I would need to measure the outside diameter (OD) of the barrel. You really need a small shoulder created for the suppressor to butt up against. The .578 is the diameter portion of the pattern, with 28 threads per inch. So, I'd say the barrel's OD really needs to be around .750" or so to give it a decent shoulder. You may be ok would just have to see.. worse case I could machine a shoulder adapter. But happy to help if you can't find a local resource you trust. Thx Mike

  21. Go with the larger cooking area. You may never smoke a whole turkey, but I'll bet you will want to grill your veggies and potatoes along with your pork, chicken, turkey etc. If you don't, you will be missing out on some nice side recipes. My first choice was also a Yoder. Wound up buying a RecTec 680 and never looked back. Just my wife and I and we smoke/grill 3 times a week. Finishing up a 6 lb beer can chicken, grilled asparagus and twice baked potatoes with cheese topping as I type this. Using 75% of our 702 sq inches of cooking surface. The Rec Tec has some unique features. Like dead on temperature control and two 20 pound pellet hoppers for those 16 hour overnight smokes in sub freezing temperatures. Look for your self at www.rectecgrills.com .

  25. I have a younger brother and sister that are twins. People always told my Dad "it's no harder to raise twins than to raise a single child since you had them together". Dad always replied with "you obviously don't have twins do you?"

  26. I understand down on their luck, but I really do believe long term dependent people on the dole with food stamps, wic, public housing and so forth are stealing when they have kids while on it and birth control should be required. People having rights. They do, but welfare is not a right.

  27. David, I have never understood the M&P's triggers varying so much one gun to the next. About one in ten will have a fabulous trigger straight from the box. For some reason all the Shields tend to have a somewhat nice trigger.

  30. I don't see Arabic, or Hispanic to the point of identification from that photo...so maybe witnesses gave the Hispanic description? Easy enough to see, since both Arabs and Hispanics can widely vary in appearance, and even overlap depending on skin tone. 35. If it was the one in Gwinnett County (Atlanta) here's a link to the vid and 911 call she made. While her tactic's were certainly lacking and by Monday morning quarter backing there's several flaws easily pointed out...But I have to say I respect her "violence of action"! All there criminals appear to be armed, it appears she was initially hidden, but when she went on the attack the home invaders were scrambling assh**** over elbows getting out of there! In the "fog" of that moment her actions were most probably moving faster than her ability to process her incoming data/information. While none of us would condone her firing out the door at fleeing felons, it would be a challenge for most, especially an untrained individual to draw those actions back in. You can see her, as is so typically videoed, firing one handed and running to slide-lock. She needs training, but no one can say she doesn't have the willingness to fight. There's lots of things she could have done better...but she certainly didn't cower in a corner waiting to be killed. I will also link an additional video that shows the 3 miscreants were in the house for about 5 and 1/2 minutes...longer than the televised video would indicate.

  36. TN Castle Doctrine says if someone enters your home uninvited, you can assume they mean to cause you great bodily injury or death. In turn, law also states if you are in fear of your life or great bodily injury, you can use lethal force to defend yourself. If it's the same video I'm thinking of, she would be in the wrong be cause she was shooting outside her home. Standing in the front door shooting out as they ran away. That would not fly in TN. Once they started to run away, they were no longer a threat. No threat, no shoot.

  41. Even though I am more of a revolver guy the Ruger P95 is the only firearm I own of which I have two. Partly this is because the first was a gift from a now deceased friend so I don't want to risk losing it if I ever needed to use it but partly it is also because they are so ridiculously good. My first (the gift one) has no rail and is decocker only. My second has a small light rail and is a decocker/safety model. I prefer the DC only but when you are buying used you can't be that picky and I can just use the safety to decock then disengage it. I also prefer hammer fired and will likely never have a striker fired handgun that I would actually use for carry or HD. You have to love that the owner's manual basically says that as long as it is the right caliber shoot pretty much any ammo you want, they don't care. +P? Good to go. 9mm NATO? Shoot it, good to go. Those two P95 pistols are also the only handguns I own that are chambered in 9mm Luger. When I read the OP my thought was, "It would be cool if they would do an updated version of the old Security 6 and Speed 6 revolvers." By that I mean strong, reliable, metal (not polymer) double action revolvers that aren't quite as heavy/bulky/overbuilt as the GP100 and the SP101. As someone else said, if the current avatar of Nyarthalotep (aka The Crawling Chaos aka Hillary Clinton) manages to limit and restrict semiauto firearms then a company with a solid and growing line of reliable revolvers would be in a pretty good position.

  44. If I see bill of sale I immediately lose interest. I'll gladly show you my valid HCP and I'll also ask for yours, but other then that, all I'll be willing to part with is my cash. I understand CYA and what not, but I also don't think you need my address, phone, license number, blood type or anything else. That's why we meet in the Bass Pro Parking Lot. Heck, once Monkey and I even went in shopping with a member we met, I got 2 machetes. Totally normal.
