  1. The day I wear a lace corset to carry my gun is the day someone better smack some sense into me. All I really want is for 5.11 to start making sizes larger than a Large so my boobs aren't pancaked down. Or don't make the shoulders so large that a men's looks ridiculous on me. If a woman is more worried about how she looks versus situational awareness, chances are carrying is a waste of her time anyways. With that said, all my Glocks are NiB-X so clearly I do have SOME taste.

  2. Get in line! There's tons of people willing to smack my face. LOL I'm just tired of the drastic difference and no middle ground. You either get super frilly and useless or you look like a woman named Deb with a mullet!

  4. I completely agree with you. I've had to stop from posting on this thread. I get so wound up I just want to scream to Heaven over it. And usually end saying some rather unkind things to boot. The lack of respect from our countrymen is mind boggling to me. I was raised to be polite, thoughtful, and courteous of others. Say the Pledge of Allegiance, stand for our Flag and National Anthem. Seems that those values, and many others, have been forgotten.

  5. Add the Seahawks plan to ALL stay seated during the anthem on 9/11. It's a free country, but I certainly hope they have an empty stadium... and ZERO season ticket sales for next year.

  7. Hello folks, It just occurred to me that many of you may not know me, my name is Steve Willis I am a family man and a resident of Wilson County Tennessee I work offshore and sell knives on my off time and if you are wondering why there is a Donkey holding a knife in its mouth as my mascot, it is Otis the eldest member of our pet Mediterian Miniature Donkeys, I have been a member on here for several years, long before I started Badass Blades folks on here could tell that I am very passionate about knives. Before I launched the first Protech TGO knife I Thought long and hard about it. My whole life since I was a little kid I have been into knives. My father (May God rest his soul) got me into them when he worked for Buck knife in El Cajon California. I remember when he gave me my first good knife, a Buck 110. He would truly be amazed at the quality of the knives that I have now. I started this small company because I truly love quality cutlery, I love sharpening selling and repairing all kinds. One thing about me though is that I will not sell a product that I do not stand behind, if you see me with a knife for sale it is one that I think is of the highest quality. I am a dying breed as someone who believes in USA made products and values, I believe that customers should be treated the way I want to be treated. I will always do my best to show this. The only companies I deal will make their products in the USA exclusively, this is important to me , believe me I am not doing this for the money, I could make a lot more money doing something else on my off time, and even with knifes I would make much more profit if I sold knives made in China, I will not do that, there are enough quality US knive companies to keep me happy There are a few great knife dealerships online, but I want to be different so when companies set MAP prices, (minimum advertised prices) everyone has to sell these knives at the same price, Zero Tolerance, Southern Grind and Protech all have these, what I like to do to separate myself is offer a Badass Blade Wicked Edge with the MAP priced knives, this way I feel like you all are getting a great deal Folks, I will stand by any product that I sell you and do my best to answer any questions that you have, if you ever have a problem with a knife I sell you, please let me know, , hopefully this will never happen but if it does, I will make it right At the moment I use several distributers to supply knives, but I am an Authorized Dealer for 2 companies, Protech and Southern Grind so these two companies will do custom knives for my company, I just started selling Southern Grind and my relationship with them will grow,. and as the owner of Protech is a buisness associate as well as a personal friend of mine, this is why I do so many TGO Protec knives anyway folks, I just wanted to properly introduce myself to you all, and please if you are in the market for a knife, ask me about it

  9. As the resident oral surgeon general dentist periodontist implantologist, I'll say that Steve's products work great in my office. Squirmy patients suddenly freeze when I whip out an automatic protech and proceed to magically remove their wisdom teeth or place their implants. They marvel at the speed and precision that these instruments allow me to work. Seriously, as a buyer of no less than 10 knives from Steve, I'll vouch for him and his products. Though they don't come advertised in a surgical catalog, they ought to be since they are definitely surgical precision in quality.

  10. I only watched it about 20 seconds into it . I am not one to get offended easily but this was really bad . This newer generation of people have no morals and no respect. This is pretty much using the September 11, 2001 attack as advertisement "pitch" . Any person , I swear should understand that ! I guess these morons don't. Very disrespectful , Very bad !

  15. I have a couple hundred pounds of daikon radish seeds to broadcast in 2 fields. Saturday evening there is a pretty good chance of rain but the next few days the chance of rain drops to 10% for a few days then up to 20% before another good chance the following weekend (so far) Do I go for it? Daikon radish is supposed to be pretty temperature hardy but I want to give it warmer temps for a long as possible to maximize growing. I know if the seed gets wet and then dry it can die and I would really rather not have to buy more seed. I do not have any practical way to irrigate either field. The area is Santa Fe if you wanted to look at weather forecasts... (that's pronounced Santa FEEEE, not Santa Fay. You say Santa Fay and they give you one of those: "you ain't from 'round here is ya boy" looks... Thanks for any and all advice, Mark

  16. Since I was 11 years old I have wanted a real Darth Vader helmet. EFX makes some killer Star Wars props. In 2011 they did a Legend edition helmet that cost over $900.00 it sold out in 4 minutes way before I knew they existed. A couple of years ago I pre paid for another Star Wars prop that never materialized, I was offered a Special Edition Darth Vader helmet in store credit, as soon as I heard they were doing that helmet I jumped on it, it is the closest thing to the one David Prowse wore in A New Hope, the original Star Wars movie, it was delivered to me last week and man do I love this thing!

  18. We are, Kevin and Kali With the world being what it is today, we just (Dec) purchased our first hand guns and received our carry permits.   We live in Knox County and are thinking of setting up a hand gun range on our property.   One of our jobs takes us to diverse areas of Tn, Ky, Ga, Va, and Al. So having a little something to go is a great relief.   We also own rental homes  and our interests vary from our Harley (Road Glide) PS4 (not so much since we got our guns) doing our own rehabs on houses, Kali loves to garden and reclaim furniture and decorations for the yard.   For our home we have the Glock 17 4th gen, I carry the 43 and my wife has the 42 (380) Also from one of our renters we got a Marlin 22L rifle, it seems he thought someone was upstairs and having not used it for 3 years he fumbled and shot a hole in the French door window. No one was hurt no animals just a $68.00 window. When we went out to secure the window he asked me to take the rifle as he said he clearly shouldn’t have a weapon LOL.   Were mid 50’s and have been in Knoxville since 2000. Thanks for having a great site.

  24. Young lady, you seem to have a problem there. Don't like the Smith revolver? That's just wrong. And dumping 1911s for Glocks...that's worse. lol Hey, each to his/her own favorites. If it don't fit you for any reason, pass it on. I never was fond of the 1911 platform or the AR. Always those damn plastic pistols as my brother-in-law calls them. Glocks, Xds, Sigs, all of them. Then I bought a 1911, at his instance; and I was hooked. You know...a real metal framed gun, something with some weight to it. Went back to shooting my namesake guns....the BHPs. Then CZs and a slew of 1911s. Then the rifle bug got me. Aks and then ARs. But that got expensive, so I had to get the number down to one of each...sadly. My Glocks are just sitting around looking...well like sad, unused Glocks. I even sold a couple of them. Gasp!

  25. I have been using iHeart radio exclusively for about four years now. I create my own 'custom' stations and it keeps in in tunes that I am in the mood for. In the cars I link to the main stereo, on the bike I keep headphones in. I would go insane without iHeart, as traditional radio kills me. Between morning shows, self absorbed DJs and a catalog of ten songs, it baffles me that folks still bother listening.

  26. The wife has a shirt from 5.11 but had it custom tailored, so yeah, I get it. Most of my casual wardrobe is 5.11 but I'm okay with the tactical look; her, not so much. As for the NiB-X Glocks, she's more into Duracoat...both her Glocks are purple.

  27. For regular radio stations, there is iheartradio. Free. I use spotify. Freakin' love it. I save my data for netflix and download most albums while I'm home on wifi. I do stream some, but not a ton. Put a 128 gig sd card in the phone so I can download all my tunes is the highest quality format I can.

  31. I got my wife a holster from TWAW, and other than having some purple, it's basically just a kydex holster. The curvature is a little tighter than a typical men's holster and it fits her pretty well. If having a little bling makes her more apt to carry, I'm fine with that. Lace corset? Flannel pj's is about as good as it gets.

  32. I saw one at a gunshow a few years ago too. I've read a some on these rifles too. Pretty good little rifles, and since they are large ring, very strong. Not like the small ring Mausers that have been rebarreled to .308 or 7.62 caliber. Some of them area little iffy.

If you need any other reason than that to do business with him, just ask literally one of dozens of TGO members who already have and they'll add their voice to what I've already said. Really glad to see him in business for himself under the Badass Blades moniker.

  43. Well yesterday I finally got my TiN Agency Barrel. Its basically a S3F Solutions barrel that is machined further by Agency. I have to say, man it looks good. I haven't shot it yet but i have no doubt that it'll be accurate. The lock up is tighter then my Silencer Co & Stock Glock barrel. There is still some play if you press down on the chamber but it is very minimal. Especially compared my other options. The feed ramp and crown are polished thats a nice touch, we'll see how it looks after a few hundred rounds. The fluting is very nicely done and I can feel that this barrel is lighter then my SiCo barrel, but that could also be because the SiCo is threaded. I honestly don't think there is anything else i can do to it. Maybe some TiN receiver pins, but IDK about that. Let me know if you have any questions, or if you want specific pictures.

Covering it with a dozen coats of black lacquer then polishing until it looked shiny enough that you might think you could dive in and take a swim. Untitled by Erik, on Flickr I would feel comfortable stating that I built my TK(Stormtrooper) though. It started out looking like the largest plastic model you've ever seen. 50. I'm 67 so tell me about getting older. I used to be able to put 4 out of 5 in a quarter sized spot at 15 yards. Now I'm happy to get them in the size of a fist. Still.....it's good enough. I think this helps with the shakes and keeps my range time enjoyable instead of frustrating. I also take my time at the range...I've got plenty of that at least. I practice double or triple taps...then lower my weapon and repeat until the mag is empty. Then I take a break sitting down while I change mags or doing whatever. At the end of my session I do a mag change or two.....just to keep in practice. As far as eyesight....well I can't read crapola or do anything close up without my bifocals so I get it. But over the past few years I shoot with both eyes open and focus on the front sight through to the target.....it seems to work for me. So...good glasses, take your time and if you're not doing something for hand strength already you might want to consider it. I work with my hands every day so at least they still seem to work okay. Good luck and don't get frustrated.
