Brilliant....absolutely frickin' brilliant. That will sure stop those felons from using stolen guns and ammo to kill each other. That will show 'em. Typical liberal solution....let's screw with everything except the real problem. Idiots.3 points

Just curious, but why has there never been a thread about all the players that talk to each other during the anthem or stand with their hands gripped tight onto their shoulder pads? Why was this never an issue for anyone until a player actually had a legitimate reason to be "disrespectful?"3 points

What I am trying to figure out is why a guy from Ohio is posting this kind of stuff on a gun forum in Tennessee. Seems kind of far from home for you.3 points

Not too often someone tells you their secret plans ahead of time but that seems to be the case here.3 points

I can tell now that they will be done by the end of this year for certain, after the Striders are delivered I'll post the thread3 points

I dearly love the Smith & Wesson revolver and have a bunch of them. But being the ornery old cuss I am, S&W hasn't made a wheel gun I've been interested in for about 20 years now since they started making "changes". I never could warm up to the GP-100. Bulky, clunky and has the ergonomics of a brick. The SP-101 is a nice little gun. But I'm not sure if I'd want to shoot a lot of .357s through one of those light things. I think I'd give out after just a few rounds. JMHO, but I think the old Ruger "Six" series revolvers were the best they ever made. Perfect size, good looks and Hell for stout. I think the dumbest thing Ruger ever did was to discontinue these fine revolvers. I've been watching out for a nice 2 5/8" Security Six for several years now. So if I was you, I'd be looking at used guns. Either the older S&Ws or a Ruger Six series. Either would serve you well.2 points

2015 is officially the year of the AK for me. This year alone I have purchased two Century (CAI) "Iraqi Contractor" Romanian WASR 10's, a 2013 production Century (CAI) Romanian WASR 10, Century (CAI) Romanian RPK AES10B, + a Yugoslavian N-PAP DF. I have another Century (CAI) "Iraqi Contractor" Romanian WASR10 + a Century (CAI) Romanian Draco AK pistol en route to my FFL as I write this. As you can see, I am a fan of the weapon system through + through. At the present moment, I am debating the purchase of a Arsenal SLR107FR but I am stuck on if I should pick the variant with plum furniture or all black. Decisions, decisions! Without further ado, I present to you my humble selection of AK's. Hi folks, I need the help of a few good fishermen (or fisherwomen). My wife works with a wildlife rehabilitator helping injured birds at Upstate Birds of Prey . They've currently got a young Osprey named Oz. He got tangled up in some wire as a chick and ended up with some nasty wounds to his legs. Osprey are typically fairly difficult to rehab because they generally don't eat in captivity. OZ isn't your typical Osprey, he eats like a teenager. He doing great and and his legs are healing nicely, but it's proving difficult to come up with enough fish to feed him. https://www.instagram.com/p/BJjfaD-AMEe/ If any of you would be willing to donate your catch to help feed Oz, we'd greatly appreciate it. He'll eat most any sort of panfish, sunfish (brim, bluegill, crappie, bass...), or small catfish. If you've got some fish you'd like to donate, please call Upstate or PM me and we'll come pick them up. They can be fresh or iced. Thanks!1 point

Several months ago I began forming a relationship to become a dealer for Southetn Grind knives, http://southerngrind.com/ I talked them into sending me a knife to sample to see if they were up to my standards. I recently found out that all the profits from Zac Browns knife company go to a wonderful camp for disabled children called Camp Southern Ground This my friends is what I call a first class company, their knives are all built in Georgia and I can now tell you after carrying my Bad Monkey for the last day, they are definitely up to my standards. My knife came to me sharp, extremely sharp but since I have my system I could not resist to make it better i am thinking of doing a Badass Blades model with them1 point

New addition to my full size 40s vintage self loading rifle collection. Finally bagged me a Swedish AG-42b otherwise known as a Ljungman. Here it is pictured with my other three. Top to bottom: 1942 Springfield Garand, 1945 Ljungman, 1941 SVT 40, and an Argentine FN49. . Still on the to acquire list are a MAS 49/56 and the Egyptian Hakim (Ljungman copy). Then maybe a Beretta BM-62 or a Walther K/G43 if I can swing it. I would still love a 41 Johnson automatic too. Again, this is just the big rifles. I have also an m1 carbine and SKS. I'll add a VZ 52 and a Rasheed at some point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

What I can start out saying about this rifle is that shooting it compares to no other semi auto surplus gun I have ever fired. It is a direct gas impingement system that drives the action, so that's very cool. The only other old gun that does that is the MAS 49/56. There is almost no, 0, ziltch felt recoil. It is certainly the smoothest shooting semi auto gun I have ever had the pleasure of shooting; nothing past or present of any substantial caliber can compare to how this old gun tames recoil. Part of that may also be the 139 grain 6.5x55 round, which I found to be adequate enough, from the bullets I dug out of the dirt, to pick as my deer gun this year. Something that I will be looking into is whether or not the Swedes had an optic planned for this rifle. The left side of the receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope mount.1 point

I had the one here by the west town mall pack and ship a rifle stock for me so it looks like it might be up to the individual locations. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk1 point

There is a difference in UPS and the UPS Store. UPS will ship stuff, but you have to take it to a hub. The UPS stores are independent franchises and their policy is that they do not ship firearms or ammo through the stores.1 point

Hello again guys. My name's Chase. I made this account when I was 19, and it became one of those things in life that I had completely forgotten I had done. I'm 24 now, and just received my CCW permit in the mail last week. My interest and appreciation for guns has grown exponentially in the last couple of years, and I'm looking to possibly get into some local competitive shooting. I've got a couple M&P's in different calibers, and a few long guns. Nothing particularly special. I hope this time around I'll use this site to learn everything I could've learned years ago. Thanks in advance for all the help and advice I'm sure to get!1 point

Same here. Ship both ways all the time. Agree it may be a local owner policy. Their right to do that, my right to give business elsewhere.1 point

Gotta be a local policy or uninformed employees. The brown truck has brought me boxes of all manner of goodies.1 point

http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/97743-ups-store-in-murfreesboro/#comment-1391699 Sort of discussed here. There isn't a law, but they might not know that. Also may be a store policy as they are owned via franchises, not directly through UPS. I'd guess they don't want the liability that may come.1 point

I ship parts UPS all the time. I have read thier policy and they ship anything but full auto. I would educate that location. Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk1 point

leftyk82 recently picked one of these up and his comments about soft shooting matches yours. I have the Egyptian Hakim which is the Ljungman design in 8mm. Odd and strange manual of arms for these rifles. I tell everyone that a Garand might give you a smash with "M1 thumb"...., but a Ljungman will produce a violent & traumatic amputation of any careless digit! Just look at that meat cutter!1 point

Thanks, we picked up about 30 lbs of bass and catfish from a local fishing guide this evening. That should last a week or so. Also took the kids fishing and caught a handful of bluegill, they had a big time. Well, except for when my youngest caught himself . But he pulled the hook out before I got there and a bandaid made it all better.1 point

6 stages are set, 18 rounds per stage, minimum 108 rounds total. Multiple movers, drop turners, swingers, out and backs. There will be a lot of moving so bring your running shoes. It's going to be a beautiful day so come on out and have some fun shooting.1 point

I began hunting small game such as squirrels and rabbits at age 8 when my parents bought me my first shotgun for Christmas. It was a single shot 4.10 and my Uncle Teen took me hunting and taught me all about gun safety and how to hunt. I hunted small game and in later years big game like deer but never lost my love for small game until I got to old to make the long walks in the woods. Then as some have mentioned, finding land to hunt is almost impossible without driving many miles. I did pass down hunting to both of my sons and they have continued the tradition to their sons. I did go a few times last year with my sons youngest boy that came along late in years for them and he is now 10 years old. He is a good shot and he managed to bag 5 squirrels while grandpa got 2. We took them back to the house and he had them cleaned and ready for the freezer in about 20 minutes. If I really wanted some squirrel I have about 20 here in my yard every day cause I feed them all winter with 6 squirrel feeders and I have a pellet rifle that makes almost zero noise but I enjoy watching them to much to shoot them. Would be like shooting pets as I have been feeding them for about 12 years now. I do think I am going to try a deer hunt this year as I have not been since 1990 but 10 year old grandson has invited me to go and my sons land has plenty of deer on it. His older brother and he planted some deer plots last Spring and I think I will give it a try since he has an ATV for me to use and it's only about 400 yards from his house through the woods on well made ATV trails.1 point

I grew up hunting about anything their was a season for beginning with Squirrel / Dove which were I lived both opened on same day and then went into Rabbit, Pheasant and Quail. Then Duck and Goose season. By age 12 I was a pretty good hunter. I always brought home meat and kept freezer stocked. Now as far as the cooking went that was all left up to my mother and she could make any of it taste great regardless of what she made. When we moved south in 1966 I added deer to my game list and dropped Duck and Goose because of the what I considered stupid blind draw regulations TWRA had. I have not been hunting since 1990 when my health went down hill and I do miss it but still have all my memories of all the good times I had listening to my beagles on trail of a Tennessee cotton tail.1 point

I spent the past 7 days in Jackson Hole, Wyoming + had the pleasure of exploring the Grand Teton National Park with my newly engaged fiancee. We spent the greater majority of our time exploring the Grand Teton National Park, the National Elk Refuge, snowboarding at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, + most importantly, eating!
