I fold a piece of paper like a post it note about two or three times, insert it across the chamber and drop the slide. It allows the trigger to be pressed without resetting the slide. It isn't perfect, but it's alot less money than a SIRT Glock.3 points

If you haven't heard of the Grand it means you probably haven't shot a lot of trap. The Grand American is held from August 3-13, 2016. The AIM is held the week before and it lasts from July 28- August 2. I'll be up there for the whole Grand. On the off chance anyone from TGO is gonna be up there PM me and we'll get together. If not I'll be posting some pictures and videos of my adventures. Oh and I'll be doing a little shooting up there. That's 4750 shells if you're wondering.2 points

Rubber bands also work. Take the thicker ones like the post office uses and cut it so that you have a piece maybe 2 inches long and fold it over. That will give you a length just big enough to insert into the ejection port and double the thickness of the standard rubber band. That will hold the slide just slightly out of battery so you can work the trigger multiple times on striker fired guns. Also because it is soft and malleable it will not prevent you from holstering so you can do multi shot dry fire work from the holster.2 points

That is my concern more than any other of this entire election is the Supreme Court. It can destroy our Constitution and alter Americans total way of life begining with the 2nd Amendment. That alone should be enough to bring out every Republican, Conservative, Independent and even some Democrats that are firearms owners to swing vote away from the DNC. That is also a good point by several that have mentioned we need to also make sure we cast votes that will help us remain in control of the House and Senate. This is the election that is more about our childrens futures than ours. All I can ask is what kind of future do you want for your children and grandchildren?................jmho2 points

I thought this was an interesting article. It shows the Left trying to back away from the gun control issue (as they always do) for the remainder of the campaign trail. I felt the need to share it. Hildabeast does have a plan. Here is an excerpt from the article: " Clinton’s problem with the Heller ruling is that it reaffirmed an individual right to keep and bear arms that the federal government cannot violate. Two years later–in McDonald v. Chicago (2010)–the Supreme Court affirmed that this individual right is incorporated under the Fourteenth Amendment, thereby barring states/cities from violating it as well. Clinton is at war with Heller because she knows that if she can be successful in reversing the recognition of an individual right, then she can be successful in opening the floodgates for gun control at city, state, and federal levels." A liberal leaning SCOTUS for 20+ years into the future (the average time frame for a justice to serve) will be disastrous to the 2nd amendment as this would give them plenty of time to re-visit every gun control issue. http://www.breitbart.com/california/2016/07/22/politifact-hillary-clinton-misspoke-misunderstood-australias-gun-ban-trump-wrong/1 point

The reason why Stingers can stick in the chamber is because the case is physically longer. And I bet the reason it won't cycle is the case mouth is getting jammed into the throat of the shorter chamber. CCI Stingers are worse than shorts out of a pistol. Stingers must have a rifle length barrel to get to the advertised velocity. In a short pistol barrel they rarely break 1,000 fps and with that tiny 32g bullet it has very little energy. The best for SD, if your gun will cycle them, is the Aguila SSS. Even out of a 2" barrel they will penetrate 8". And along the way the bullet will tumble creating a 5/8" wide wound channel as it does. The next best is the CCI Velicitor. It still has a relatively low velocity but it has a 40g bullet. The velocity is a lot closer to the advertised velocity than Stingers.1 point

Rule of thumb for metric conversions is to double it and add 30. So a 5k = 40 metric beers. Surely 40 beers is a good reason to run a measly 3.5 miles??? ;-)1 point

Yeah, I know about DA triggers are similar to revolvers, but Bud said his mom currently has a Kahr PM9 which is a striker-fired handgun with a pretty light and smooth (albeit long) trigger. Good info about the finger placement on revolver triggers. I'll have Mrs. ML give that a try the next time I have my hands on a revolver.1 point

Remember that people like Hillary Clinton think that the 2nd amendment applies to them but not to the common man. She will gladly carry a gun and/or have people with guns protect her while the average people are denied that same ability.1 point

H&R 940 .22LR revolver. Had the main spring and rod replaced. Worked fine for about 100 rounds, and now it's back to sometimes it fires....sometimes it doesn't. Rohm RG-10. Anything from Taurus. I've shot the PT-92 side by side with my Beretta and there's no comparison. For a couple hundred bucks difference, get the real thing. That goes for every Taurus, not just the PT-92. As a range gun, I have no problem with them, but I wouldn't bet my life on the bull.1 point
