We've been "organic farming" for years. The general indictment of organic farming you posted is no different than the bull#### organic disciples attribute to conventional farming. I don't mean to be an ass or insult anyone but the extremes of any farming method are pretty lousy. There's a way to do both that's realistic. Sorry for the rant.3 points

lol they're going to protest at the federal courthouse? Not the brightest people in the city. I hope they start marching about 500 feet down broadway where they will run into a crowd of 20,000 drunk rednecks.2 points

I too agree that the video was insightful and well thought out. I do think the use of the robot with an explosive charge is a very slippery slope to venture down. Did the killer need to be stopped? Of course. But once the precedence is set it's not a far stretch to see the use of armed drones considered in domestic scenarios. I have no doubt that it was a tough call to make and I am thankful no more officers lost their lives. I am thankful for, and appreciate, the risks they take each and every time they put on the uniform. My thoughts and prayers are with the slain officers friends and families and obviously for the downed officers. From conversations with a few LEO's I know, I'm not so sure the Baton Rouge case is as much a "black/white" issue as it is, as you mentioned a "thug culture" issue. I've heard and read several officers say or post that the amount of resistance to uniformed officers by all races (Black, White, Asian, Hispanic) embracing the "thug culture" gains them "street cred" among their peers. I know the overwhelming majority of thugs I must deal with working in my ER are white. While it may simply reflect the demographic in the area of the sate where I work, this is what I personally see. It was obviously more diverse racially the 2 decades I worked in New Orleans...again, demographics. Always back to the old Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times"...well, these are certainly "interesting times". Thank you the vid.2 points

I think its good you take the time to make these videos. I think these things need to be talked about honestly and openly. Do I think it will make any difference to the hate groups we need to reach? Of course not they don’t want peace and racial harmony; they want the cops to be so intimidated so they leave them alone or they want a payday. As far as excessive force… there was no excessive force and I thought blowing the guy up without putting Officer in there was clever. When you have shot 12 people, you are armed and are an immediate threat to all those around, and you are refusing to surrender; there can be no escalation of force, it’s already at as high a level as it gets. They are justified in dropping the building on you if that what it takes. Both the Orlando shooter and the Dallas shooter were in contact with Police. Either one of them had every opportunity to lay down their weapons and surrender; they chose not to and were killed. Most of these shooters know they are going to die. There are not laws or bans that will stop them. Getting killed is all that will stop them. I don’t care if someone is black, white or something else, when you starting killing innocent people (and cops are innocent people) you need to die. Was the robot blown up?2 points

First and foremost, Merry Christmas! After months of passively searching, I purchased a factory FDE SilencerCo Osprey 45 suppressor for my FN FNX 45 Tactical in FDE. I purchased the suppressor via GunBroker from BMC Tactical/Warrior Steel. After remitting my payment 45 days ago, my suppressor arrived at my preferred LGS, the Nashville Armory. The wait time officially begins as my paperwork has been submitted!1 point

I had been wanting to own a Bullpup rifle for years. I almost bought and FS2000 years ago, but decided to plop the money down on an Arsenal AK instead. Then the Tavor comes along and I kinda fell in love with it. This year at SHOT show, IWI announced they were going to release the Tavor in my favorite modern caliber, 300 Blackout. I finally decided to take the plunge. I preordered a Tavor SAR 300blk back in March. Initially, they were supposed to be released in April/May so I wanted to go ahead and get an order out there. Then it gets pushed from May to July. Back at NRAAM, I got to play with one and really fell in love. Then Tuesday I find out that they have been delayed until Q1 2017. I can't wait that long, especially with Hillary potentially becoming president in November so I went ahead and ordered a normal Tavor. Just picked it up. So I guess I'm finally in that Bullpup life. I love this thing. Anyone else into bullpups? Here's my new rifle: And mostly kitted up:1 point

I recently acquired one of these in a trade. It had been on my Maybe I'll Pick One Up Someday list, and the right opportunity came along. I took it to the range a couple days ago and I put about 120 rounds through it (124gr hard cast reloads). Ergos / handling: It shoots and handles better than it looks. The squared-off rear of the frame which I initially had concerns about ended up being no issue whatsoever. The gun in 9mm simply doesn't recoil enough for this to even begin to be a problem. The backstrap / grip inserts slide on and off after being unlocked with a 1/4 turn of a recessed Torx cam. It looks like the cam moves outward to lock the insert into place, and inward to allow removal. There were a couple of sharp corners on the inside of the lanyard slot which dug into my hand, but a couple of quick strokes with a file fixed that. It wasn't an issue on any but the smallest grip insert for some reason. I don't much care for the exaggerated palm hump on the large and medium backstraps so I left the small one installed. The ambi magazine button was actually quicker to hit with my thumb with the small backstrap installed. With the large backstrap, it's harder for thumb reach and easier for trigger finger activation. The grasping serrations on the slide rear were very well designed. The crosscut serrations provide a superlative grip. The takedown lever has a bit of a protruding shelf that makes a handy place to rest your support thumb. Unfortunately it prevents it from fitting into holsters for other brands that would actually be a pretty good fit otherwise. Trigger reach is easy and comfortable for me. There are no sharp edges or other unpleasantness on the trigger shoe like there can be on other designs (XD, Glock). Shooting: It ran through all my reloads with no feeding problems. I was doing offhand shooting at a 2" dot at about 20 yards and I was able to keep all the shots either on the dot or within an inch of it, so accuracy was certainly adequate for my purposes. Brass ejection was a bit erratic but thankfully none came near my face. The sights were regulated such that the front sight dot represented your point of impact. I usually prefer my POI to be the top of the sight blade, but whatever. Sight picture was good enough that I will probably leave the factory sights on. The trigger pull was similar to the XD pistols. The pull itself was not heavy enough to complain about, probably 5 pounds or a little less. There was a fair amount of creep but it was smooth and consistent. The reset point was about 2/3 of the trigger forward travel, which is a little longer than most people like but not a real problem. The reset was distinct and clear. About all I would want is a little less creep and a little shorter reset if I were going to be doing a lot of shooting. Muzzle flip was negligible, despite the rather slick grip. The mags easily dropped free and locked in consistently. Mags were not difficult to load to full 17 rd capacity. TL;DR: It performed well and I liked it more than I expected to.1 point

Organic farming is simply regular farming the way it used to be done. But as a civilization we have evolved. We don't have to resort to using manure as fertilizer. Although it is highly beneficial to do so when you also have animals and have the manure right there in your field all it takes is a little time to move it to where your crops are. Only a dumbass hippie or hipster would put human feces on their crops. We used to not use any type of fertilizer at all. Crops grew just fine. Then someone figured out the manure from the animals made the crops grow better so every one started doing that. Then we figured out what the chemicals and nutrients were that were actually helping and now you can just go buy a bag of fertilizer. Genetically modified plants are simply a way to increase the output for a certain land footprint. Probably not the best and certainly not all natural but it's not the devil either. Herbicides/pesticides are simply to keep bugs and parasites from destroying the harvest. As Raoul said, there is no need to be 100% organic nor go all out commercial and use every chemical available. We have evolved and should be smart enough to strike a balance. If it gives you a decided advantage without killing you, why not. Nothing wrong with hybrid plants, store bought fertilizer, and mild herbicides and pesticides.1 point

Just wanted to share my Sig P220 Elite. So far it's seen 1400 hiccup free rounds and is dead on accurate. I barely have to do anything to get rounds on target.1 point

Yep, note the Act did not include TN state funds and lawyers to mount your defense, either. And I don't think any of the legislature will be willing to stand in front of the ATF vehicles that take you away. - OS1 point

I could expound on this at length but just won't bother, I'll simply say police officers are assigned to larger crime areas in greater numbers.1 point

Not much to risk really, 'cept 10 years in federal prison and $100K in fines. No to mention legal fees. - OS1 point

Good video, insightful and objective, I look forward to seeing the interviews of assorted people. I have some mixed feelings about the use of a robot to place a bomb but can also recognize the tactical reasoning behind it. Overall when people let emotions control their reasoning ability they become blind followers rather then thinkers. Unfortunately thinkers aren't as appreciated or respected as agitators or self motivated attention seekers in search of notoriety. Keep doing what your doing, I bet your dad has some cool stories.1 point

$200 Lifetime will be worth it for the simple fact that I will never have to sit in that dreaded waiting room at my DMV for three hours again. Also- not sure who all this applies to, but I am Military and I applied for mine at the DMV on a Thursday, scheduled for and was finger printed on Friday, had my permit in my mailbox the next Thursday afternoon. By my count that's 4 business days including mailing from the point of submission. Outstanding.1 point

No you don't have to have a trust, but a trust does have several advantages such as the ability for multiple users and estate planning. It also helped bypass some other hoops to jump through but the powers that be changed that starting today.1 point

Went out yesterday "looking at guns" and came home with this. Been wanting one for a long time for the sole purpose to SBR. Sportsmans Warehouse in Chattanooga had one and here we are now. We all know whats next: let the wait begin. The real trouble is going to be finding a CZ stock kit for it I believe. Time to join all the email notification lists I guess! Nice video. I don't have an issue with the c4 if they thought that was their best option. I am more annoyed they wasted a $150k robot to do it.1 point

Once you do one you'll end up with several. Checked my closet last night and I've got 5, could have sworn it was only 2. All joking aside if you end up going the build route I can help you out with that because I've got all the tools assemble uppers and lowers.1 point

Tennessee honors all the other states' permits. I'm sure a good bit of the people in California with CCW's did not vote for the goofy politicians in LA and SF that come up with their silly laws. They are unfortunately outnumbered. Until this year, people in California with licenses had it better than us and could legally carry in K-12 schools and colleges. Of course the goofy bed wetters in SF and LA found out that was legal and messed it up for them.1 point

Sounds like there are different kinds of protective vests, making it important to get the right one for the job. I appreciate all of you who have a job where you need one. I find it quite irritating when folks who lay their lives on the line have to pay for their own vest. They are expensive.1 point

None of my friends have bikes, so I have been riding by myself, which is kind of Zen. A friend from a bike-specific forum I read invited me to a group ride with her riding club. I was a little reluctant, because I knew they'd mostly be H-D guys and I don't ride a cruiser at all. They've been really cool with me even though most of them mistake my adventure bike for a crotch rocket. It's been a totally different experience, in a good way. Riding with a group is really nice, but I still enjoy the peace and quiet of a solo ride too:1 point

My bike that I treat as a cross country touring model. I have ridden it cross country several times. I am usually an 800+ mile day sort of rider. This is in South Dakota a few years ago. That's my Springer1 point

After much debate, I decided to have the barrel of my AKT-98 threaded. I had the pleasure of meeting with Robert Forbus at his shop this morning in Greenbrier, TN. Robert was highly recommended by the AK community and I was overjoyed to learn that he was local. Within an hour of arriving at his shop, Robert successfully threaded my barrel to 1/2x28. Robert was extremely accommodating + his attention is to detail is unparalleled. Having said that, I strongly recommend Robert for all of your barrel needs! With further ado, my newly threaded AKT-98 + Dead Air Armament Mask 22 suppressor!1 point

Midway through the month of January, I promised myself that I would purchase a Plum Arsenal 107 if Atlantic Firearms replenished inventory. I submitted a request to be notified when their inventory had replenished and within three days I received an email. Suffice it to say, I had a plum 107 on layaway within minutes of receiving the notification! Before I move forward with my post, I want to commend Atlantic Firearms for consistently delivering on their end. Over the past two years, all of my questions have been answered in a timely manner + their shipping department is first rate. For example, my balance was satisfied on Sunday, I received a shipping notification on Monday, and it was delivered to my local gun shop by Wednesday morning. It was a joyous morning when I received this text message from my dear friend Mike at the Franklin Gun Shop in Franklin, TN. Upon receiving the message, I was on the road within minutes! This is the first Arsenal 107FR that included the original factory box. My 107-31 that I purchased from Atlantic Firearms was sent in a rifle hard case + my 107-34 was purchased from an individual who only had the original manual and cleaning kit. Ladies + gentlemen, I present my Arsenal 107-32! She is absolute beaut! Bar none my favorite of 107's + a overall personal favorite in my collection. If any of you kind folks have a lead on a plum Bulgarian Circle ((10)) waffle magazine. Please let me know as that is the missing piece to complete my rifle! 107-32 x 107-31 x 107-341 point

Merry Christmas, TNGunOwners! After a three-month buying hiatus, I am officially back in the saddle! I am closing out the year with the purchase of a Arsenal SLR107-34. My newly acquired SLR107-34 is on the bottom of the photograph + the SLR107-31 is on top.
