I still have ammo from the last nine panics. I do have a nice PSA Mforgery that I will let go for $3k though. I will even throw in a brand new high capacity magazine.4 points

You are off base. Denied is denied. You can appeal, but that doesn't automatically mean you are good to go. If a convicted rapist pops on a background check, they don't just give him his gun in fifteen days. he was denied. A delay is another matter. If you are delayed or receive a conditional you will be given the go ahead after a few days, or the FFL can transfer the firearm at his discretion after a certain period of time. My advice is to reach out the the TBI and see what really popped you, not what you think popped you. It could be the two years of unpaid fines led to a bench warrant, meaning for the last two years you have been a fugitive from justice. It could be that the fines being paid haven't posted. I would ask for a refund from the FFL and check on cleaning up my background. But I am not a lawyer, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. There are some sharp cats on the board and I am certain they will be along in time to quote chapter and verse of TCA as to why you were denied and how to fix it.2 points

Never, I mean never, let that truck go. They don't make them like that anymore. That truck will outlive all of us if you keep the rust away.2 points

Why did I even click on this thread? I knew there would be pics. Oh that's right... I wanted to test my will power while I'm on a low calorie diet.2 points

Most problems with primers are not seating fully, or seating so hard that the priming compound gets crushed. Yours worked the second time I'm guessing that maybe you didn't seat them quite all the way. They should be just below flush with the case head. Some primers are harder than others but I rarely have had problems with stock guns. Modified guns particularly double action ouen have difficulties some times but reducing the hammer spring to far. Take it in stride and experience will give you the feel you need to make reliable ammo. To answer your question the name brands ae all good with only slight variation between them. As a rule magnum primers are for magnum cartridges. Match primers are for match grade accuracy usually in rifles.2 points

I am going to see Pearl Jam. If it's my time, it's my time. We are going VIP so we at least have air conditioned showers and toilets.2 points

I just fired up my old school BBQ pit that I built a few years ago from scratch. I got two pork shoulders cooking right now . LOW AND SLOW at 220 degrees. Here are some pics of my burn barrel that I burn my wood in and then the pit .1 point

This gives police power they shouldn't have. Listening to the officer try and justify this power, he said they were targeting drug dealers and not everyday people and they would give the money back if they can prove it isn't drug related. That has very high potential for abuse.1 point

I also saw that crap! How many ways can you say, legal theft? This whole thing has been blown out of proportion and is going to bite law enforcement in the ass.1 point

Went to Ollies this morning to burn up an expiring coupon. While there, I pursued the book section and found a stack of "Blue Book of Gun Values" by Fjestad. They are the 36th edition dated 2015. They are priced at $12.99. I picked one up for model reference more than gun value. I also wanted it so that I can look smart, and snap off prices to Steelharp when he finds treasures!1 point

That was some good foresight, Col. Austin. I don't shoot .22 anymore. Have a bunch of guns, though. maybe I will sell them to some newbies too.1 point

I think most of the traffic was Saturday and Sunday. There were record numbers of passengers, something like 21K and 23k respectively.1 point

Yeah in 2008 Cabelas had a gigantic ammo sale. I still have an asston of .22 I bought at 2.5-3.5 cents a round. Everything else I reload.1 point

Please stop trying to incite panic buying. You're being part of the problem. If you're in need of something, buy it. If not, let it be. That's how everyone should be right now. Nothing is going to happen in this political climate. People are up for re-election in a few months.1 point

Those are great looking trucks. I was kind of tempted to wait until September myself.1 point

CCI is my #1 choice. Sounds like the primers were not fully seated. You will get better with more experience, like every thing else.1 point

"The Greatest Generation" title was earned and deserved. I don't think most people today realize the size and scope of WW2. Today's military actions are a drop in the bucket compared WW2.1 point

I have used about every brand of pistol primers and Federal primers are by far my favorite. I do not hesitate to substitute magnum primers for non magnum primers.1 point

We are having a meeting to discuss the new laws and their impact. Should be fun to watch.1 point

common pistol loads I use cci primers, never have an issue in stock sprung set ups. Make sure you are seating correctly. Post pics if in question - top and side. If you are not ignighting cci primers in a self defense weapon I'd be fixing the firearm. They are not crappy primers. My o21 point

I will go through the process but have not heard anything about it yet. I am assuming I will not hear anything until after 7/1 since the colleges are not really excited about this anyway, wait until the last minutes ya know-bill1 point

I'd just take some appropriate grit emery cloth to it. All you really need is to break that sharp edge. Probably won't even notice it.1 point

After we bought our house last summer the wife talked me into getting a grill. Now it is rather shameful to admit, but I had minimal prior grilling experience. I have spent nearly every Sunday since March (and several Saturdays, a few Fridays and even a Thursday or two) grilling out. We have done pork chops, pork roasts, cod wrapped in cedar, hamburgers, hotdogs, steak, chicken, a couple of racks of ribs, god knows home much corn, clams, brats, potatoes, sweet potatoes... Hell I have lost count. And I don't know how I lived before this. For the record we use charcoal.1 point

I don't give the "foreign" manufacturers a hard time anymore. Nissan is using a Cummins diesel and Aisin transmission, Toyota is largely made/assembled in the US. Id drive a Nissan over a Ford any day.1 point

I'd rather have the Chevy as the Ford. All the Chevy's I have owned over the years have been very easy to resell and get my money back. Take the Chevy, sell it, buy a Toyota and be happy with a GOOD truck.1 point

Agree on the size & capacity, can't agree on a duplicate. To each his own tho, LOL. I've had my taste set for the PPS M 2 for a while. As soon as I can gather the funds, it'll be in my hand. Unfortunately, it's gonna be a while. Hate it when that happens.1 point

My first year of college, albeit nearly 20 years ago, I did intensive research with large cats. If you just say Lynx you are referring to what we call a bobcat in Tennessee. There are several species of Lynx like the Canadian Lynx not found in the southern United States. But keep in mind, we can have hybrids of domestic cats and bobcats in Tennessee. It is not common, but it does occur. There isn't much there to make me believe that is anything other than a southern bobcat. The walk, the spotted legs, and even the lanky stature identify with what I know of bobcats. The only thing I can say that is weird is to see it on gravel. Maybe that was its only walking path, but I have seen and heard them walking to purposely avoid gravel and pavement. Also, the color is weird. It's not weird for a bobcat, but it is this time of year. Unlike domestic cats their coats change seasonally. Summer will have an orange tint to it. While this sounds impossible, it is actually just shedding of a winter coat.1 point

As you mentioned, a racquet ball or tennis racket bag works. Gray-man logo concept... I've also used the pull tie bags that some folding lawn chairs come in. The one I used was pretty thin, but certainly served it's purpose well. Let us know what you come up with my friend.1 point
