I think it was a "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" reference. 42 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything.4 points

OK. I went with the Springfield Loaded. I felt the quality was better as was the fit and finish. Also has a nicer trigger. Thanks for all the good information. Helped a lot and I'm a happy camper now!4 points

Every time I think about getting a new gun with a better trigger, I hear a story like this. Then, I don't feel so bad carrying an LC9 with a "legendary" trigger and manual safety stuck in in my pants. I figure if people with more experience than me can shoot themselves in the leg or butt, maybe I'll just continue to train with what I have.2 points

How about just eating somewhere that isn't posted instead of supporting businesses that post. My wife (she's new to Nashville) told me the other day that she had heard that the Loveless Cafe had good biscuits. I told her that I would never know.2 points

She found me because of you sharing on one of your Facebook groups! She sent donations and then asked to adopt!! See the good you did! You helped!! Thank you so much! Because of you Ressler has an amazing home!!2 points

We just lost our rescue yellow lab Hunney. She wad 12 years old and died of a stroke Friday night. Our black pit mix is in mourning just like my wife and I. Good for you taking care of these precious souls. Maybe once the heart aches dies down we will bring in a new family member to the pack2 points

You would be surprised even a small percentage can have a big impact on the bottom line. With that said even when I am not caring I don't go to places that are gun free believing it puts a target on my back.2 points

2015 is officially the year of the AK for me. This year alone I have purchased two Century (CAI) "Iraqi Contractor" Romanian WASR 10's, a 2013 production Century (CAI) Romanian WASR 10, Century (CAI) Romanian RPK AES10B, + a Yugoslavian N-PAP DF. I have another Century (CAI) "Iraqi Contractor" Romanian WASR10 + a Century (CAI) Romanian Draco AK pistol en route to my FFL as I write this. As you can see, I am a fan of the weapon system through + through. At the present moment, I am debating the purchase of a Arsenal SLR107FR but I am stuck on if I should pick the variant with plum furniture or all black. Decisions, decisions! Without further ado, I present to you my humble selection of AK's. That is why I like a kydex inside the waistband holster. You just unhook the clip and slide holster and all out and then when you want to put it back on, you slide it back in. The trigger guard is protected inside the kydex the entire time.1 point

My guess is that there's very little chance the reporter who wrote the story knows the difference between a tourniquet and a bandage to soak up the blood. "He wrapped a white rag around they guy's leg, must be a tourniquet, what else could it be?" Remember these guys think that earplugs are rubber bullets. Cheers, Whisper1 point

In addition to Target Sports (already mentioned), I like Palmetto State Armory and Widener's. No single one of them always has the best prices on everything but if you sign up for their e-mail sale alerts you can sometimes catch real deals. Palmetto State Armory also sometimes has smoking deals on guns, particularly of the AR family. Cheers, Whisper1 point

Electricity is over rated. If all that was effected was electrical , it would suck for sure, but unless it was followed up with an invasion I think it would be recoverable within short order. First of all, not every electrical item would be effected, there are many electronics that are shielded against such things. Many of those are generators, and since we have the knowledge, we can get things repaired quite quickly. No, a EOTWAWKI event would have to be a global event such as a meteor, massive tectonic plate movements, Super Volcano eruption or nuclear war or a mix of those things. Along with such events are the massive loss of life, and depending on where such an event originates, there may be large metropolitan areas wiped out so hordes from there may be non existant. Even accounting for the mad max scenarios, large like minded groups are the only way to survive such events; whether it be in a rural area or town/city will depend on what is left of those areas.1 point

After Rick played punching bag with the Zead head to mess up the nose. Best line of all to date was by the Hilltop guy talking to Rick. " The Saviors are scary but these pricks have nothing on you".1 point

C'mon, get real. People all over the world mostly profess the religion in which they were raised. If the whole population of TGO had been magically raised by Muslim parents in a Muslim culture, we'd be at least 90% Muslim too. Transplant all them same folks over there to the USA as babes and have them raised by Christian parents, they'd be mostly Christian. In cultures all over the world, denying the religion you are raised in is the exception rather than the norm. Where of course the religion is virtually the same as the state, it's near 100%. Much of Europe was that way regarding Catholicism for 1200 years or so. - OS1 point
