  8. I'll say it again, most every time somebody names a "worst movie".  That ain't even in the neighborhood of the ballpark of being the worst movie ever. If you think so, you just haven't seen very many movies "in your 40+ years"!   - OS

  9. American Reloading. https://www.americanreloading.com/en/ Their prices fluctuate with sales. They have been having various 50% off inventory reduction sales so some stuff is out of stock but their prices are normally good anyways. I've bought brass and bullets from them before. They are good to go but can take a week or two to ship. Accuracy wise, I have used plated bullets from several sources and they are all about the same. I dont measure pistol groups, just shoot at paper and steel.

  10. There's nothing about being a Muslim that has anything to do with race. It's a lifestyle choice. A man don't choose to be white, black, Jew or puerto rican. He DOES choose to follow a given religion. Or in this case, a cult. I despise Islam and the fact that there may be some who ignorantly follow that contemptuous filth who are decent enough folks is irrelevant. It doesn't change the fact that it's the only religion of any consequence that daily shows its evil nature. I don't care what God a fella wants to follow but when it destroys lives it should be treated in kind. Kill it. No religion is without some dirt on their hands but you don't see Buhddists, Taoists or Hindus acting like this. AND despite their checkered past, Christians don't act like this either. I will go on record too as saying IF the Christian (so called) church wanted to act like they did in the dark ages, I'll be first in line to say put the Pope on the end of a rope and shove a cross up a bible thumpers butt. But I won't have to because they don't act like that. It's clearly evident that race is not a factor here. Middle eastern Muslims, African Muslims...Jihad John...the list goes on. All walking peices of human fecal matter. .

  12. When I feel like I am getting ripped off my inner curmudgeon raises his ugly head.  After tonight's trip to the grocery I once again am suffering from curmudgeon overflow.  On the bright side, my wife will probably not hit me up to go with her again for a while.  Anyway, I refer to the following as examples of how we as consumers are being ripped off: Cardboard sleeves inside toilet paper and paper towel rolls are bigger around reducing amount of sheets per roll. 1/2 Gallon of ice cream is now 1.75 or 1.5 quarts Coffee containers of any brand continue to shrink and price goes up (All containers for that matter) Five pounds of sugar is no more, now 4 pounds or less We all remember how big a Baby Ruth, or any candy bar used to be Re-configured containers with indention's as handholds or visual appeal which reduces content When was the last time you saw a 50 pound bag of dog food? These are just a few examples and what started this rant was I love Claussen Kosher dills pickles.  I picked up a jar tonight and realized that the pickle spears were "floating around" in the jar with about a half inch of juice in the bottom where the spears did not even reach the bottom. They used to be packed from lid to bottom and packed so tight you had to pull the first one out with a fork and had friction between the spears to do so.  It appeared that there were at least 4 to 5 spears missing from the jar.  I looked at all the jars and they were all that way.  I put them back.  Sorry to bother you all with my rant, but my wife was tired of hearing it.

  18. My only ar is a 20" 6.8. Shoots nice. Not any diff in recoil vs 223 and extra mass in the bullet! Get the PRI mags. They work. A 223 mag can work but you can't fill it up....

  19.   That's exactly how Cormac wrote it in novel, the last we see or hear of Chigurh. Though the novel goes on a brief bit more regarding the sheriff meeting with his uncle and then describing a last dream, stuff that was transposed to earlier in the film.   I thought the film ended actually a bit more appropriately, thematically for a movie that is, in that it leaves the idea that Chigurh, badly damaged, still survives to wreak havoc another day, just like Evil itself does in reality.   - OS

  21. Oh I did too, the entire movie until the end. If the rest of the movie was bad, I wouldn't have cared, but it was really good. But the end was like they forgot to write the last scene.

  23. I don't Facebook, but I appreciate the suggestion. :) Waiting to hear back from a farmer down the road, if that doesn't work out I'm going to call the feed store and see if they have a customer that might be interested. Worst case scenario I can probably hire the company I bought gravel from to do it, but I'm sure that will be extremely expensive. Probably be cheaper than me having to load my tractor up and haul it down there though.

  25. One more state joins the elite group of Constitutional carry states. I’m told we need to “take baby steps”; that’s BS. We have taken plenty of baby steps; it’s time to walk. So much time and energy is spent here on meaningless stuff; it keeps us from getting the real deal.

  26. Polecat, you can certainly do that...you also need a 6.8 bolt at the least, or a complete bolt carrier group for your 6.8 upper would be slightly easier. Then as time and savings allow, build you a second lower and then you've got two rifles!

  33. Maybe I'm tired, but based on that math so are you. :) 7000 grains in one pound, divided by your example of 5 grains a round is 1400 rounds per pound of powder. That doesn't affect the cost of that pound, just the grains for your load affects the price per round and total number of rounds loaded. FWIW, the last pistol powder I have bought (TiteGroup, W231, and CFE Pistol) have all been less than $22 per pound in the last 2 years and usually only $20/#.

  38.   Certainly not trying to talk anyone out of what they like.   For me, just can't imagine any improvement over my Kahr PM9. About as small as any 9mm made with its capacity, all smooth contours, no safeties,  simply pull it out and pull the trigger. Even a J frame feels like a thick slab to me by comparison, plus I get 2 extra rounds and quick reload. And it's not a .380 either. ;)   - OS

  40.   ... especially when the reverend Abdul is telling everybody to lop off your head if you don't join up.   I don't think anybody on here wants to see innocents die. The jokes are in the same spirit as the ones about California sliding into the ocean. I have good friends in California. But, if it breaks off and slides into the ocean, the percentage of assholes in this country will decrease significally (tragic as it would be).

  41.   They do indeed sell primers and they really need to put them behind the counter.  The last three times I've been there I've seen enough foolishness to make me wary of buying them.  People just can't seem to keep from opening them.  First was some girl who dumped 100 primers all over the shelf and floor.  Took her forever to pic them up and put them back in the tray.  Next time, same story but someone else.  Last time some guy rifled through nearly every pack on the shelf.  I don't know if he was looking for the perfect primer or what but he sure was trying.   There is a gun show this weekend.  TGO's favorite reloading supplier (dlm37015) is probably there and usually has what you need at very good prices.  His booth is under the big white with red letters "RELOADING SUPPLIES" sign.  As the show is at the Expo he'll be in the back right corner.

  48. Much as we might like to believe it, the ISIS leaders aren't stupid. Would they care that tens of thousands of their own died? Not a lick. Would they blame it all on the west? You bet your ass they would. "Look at how the monument of the west collapses and murders our innocent women, children, and infirm..." And it would only get worse from there. In addition to being the worst disaster of its sort, it would also be the biggest propaganda coup of all time.
