  1. It appears to me that the statement "it went off while I was cleaning it" is usually a lie to cover the fact that someone pulled the trigger while playing with the gun. Just my opinion.

  4. A J-Frame Smith either OWB or pocket carry. I have had several of my fellow HCP holders explain to me that I stand no chance against the ISIS battle group that inevitably assaults my neighborhood Walmart. Whereas, they with their neato double column semi-autos will be able to save the day by taking out the entire ISIS organization with two extra magazines of 9MM. This is based on their combat experience at some neat school at some pistol range. I spent a total of 60 months in combat in VietNam (4 Tours) with the USMC so I am in no position to question their superior logic. I only need 5 shots to shoot the dumb SOB that goes looking for me and finds my hiding place.

  5. Guys, I gave Sam a heads up already but thought it was important for you all to know, this guy is a fraud. He took classes for less than two weeks at the TrickyNicky Tactical Somersault Assault Training Academy Dojo and is now attempting to use my carefully cultivated techniques to open his own school. I'm all for the free market, but his training was incomplete. We hadn't even covered low drag- high impact cartwheels yet  How does he expect to give people the value for their monies without knowing my patented backwards shotgun roll? You all have been warned, if you want QUALITY buffoonery, er, training, look no further than the TNTSATAD. TGOers enjoy free parking validation (I'll tell my neighbors it's cool if you park on their lawn) and a complementary after workout self-rubdown (some alone time in the shower) and so many more perks your heads would explode like some kinda exploding things if you attempted to take it all in in one sitting. Group rates available.

  8. Are you going to do a FTF only or offer shipping. The majority of everyday carry knives will fit in a small flat rate box. I think you'd be justified in a little premium for that on top of the $6 it costs to ship it. Gas and time to and fro ain't free. I'd be in for it. My current knife sharpener is the fellar what sets up in the back of the local gun show. Wait, are you really up for sharpening all the cheap knock offs we cheap/poor bastards carry? Kinda be like a Porche mechanic tuning up a Ford Tempo.

  9. Guys,   I am strongly considering buying a very expensive sharpening system that I saw at last years Blade show,   If after posting many pictures of my personal knives Sharpened laser sharp and Mirror polished edge, would any of you consider paying a small fee for this service if I offer it?       Just food for thought as I will buy the system anyway and on  my offtime do this quite frequently

As karma would have it one our resident CPD detectives was there and overheard him, and bagged him for impersonating an officer. I know we usually rag on guys/gals with their HCP "badges" but this was STUPID...granted he IS from Kentucky lol. The news article was written as if the badge was a common item...play stupid games win stupid prizes Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

  14. The biggest I think you can go without rubbing in 305/55/20 which will affect the look somewhat but without lifting the front end I doubt it will be dramatic. You can buy leveling kits that will lift the front end 2" or so. Either way I doubt with that little change you will see any performance differences. Speedometer might read off a few mph

  18. Here are pics of Liz, she is currently 5.5 weeks and will not be available for adoption for a while. At least until she is 12 weeks old: Here is Liz's brother Red, same for him as far as age and date of availability! Also, just wanted to remind you about Donald Ressler too. He is currently 9 weeks old and 15 lbs, he can be available in 3 weeks. If you are interested in any of the puppies you see here, please email me at predsgirl33@gmail.com (please include your TGO handle) and I will gladly send you an adoption application. There will be adoption fees for all the puppies which will just be the cost of their discounted vetting. This in turn allows us to pull more dogs to save their lives. Also, for those contributing funds, please know that anything over the goal will go directly to the rescue and helping us pull more dogs/puppies as we send these ones off to new homes.

PSA rifle build kit from Easter, PTAC upper, 16" midlength gas system, 1/9 twist. PSA Freedom lower build kit. $387 delivered. I haven't decided what to do about sights/optics.

Prices were very reasonable when  you consider no hazmat or shipping.  Spent a good hour in there with Phil the owner talking about stuff.  He also has parts and accessories too at reasonable prices.

  27. Ive used a buttload in the military so far and will share... The Leatherman MUT was by far my favorite. I carried the EOD model at first but sold it to another tech in favor of the standard one - the carbon scraper and screw in cleaner spots on top of all the bits and blades is awesome. (Plus only losers dont carry an extra pair of crimpers) On the cheap the standard black Gerber that comes with OTIS cleaning kits is great...even though Ive destroyed a bunch of them. I really liked my Victorinox but someone stole it like a true asshat.. As far as SOG goes I used the EOD one as well, the crimpers sucked but damn was the wire cutting blades really nice. Ended up leaving in at a 10K Code H det pit...so its atoms are spread somewhere around Eglin Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

  28. I say leave them. 20s are pretty big, my F250 only has 18s and work plenty fine for me. Bigger the tires just means more weight to spin. Plus why drop money on rubber when you can buy a 10mm Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

  30. These guns most likely are police trade-ins.  The prices are 'the going rate' for these guns and they are almost always available.   No need to do a conversion from .40 to 9mm, you can buy a 9 from the get go.   One note, most people don't like the DAK trigger, which is why those are the least expensive.   Watch these sites to get exactly what you want:   sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com   http://www.cdnnsports.com/   Neither of them have any 9mms right now, though probably will in the next month or so.

  31.   Yep. Had that massive pressure as well. As peejman suggested, pinching the nose, closing mouth and blowing can help sometimes. But when at the sage you describe, I can do it and feel like I'm trying to open an airlock door against a vacuum seal; it just won't help.   I wish I could help you. But doc, meds, rest, and running the course seem to be the way it goes.   Do what you can, and support your wife thru it as well, that can make it easier. I found out the hard way to be sympathetic to her needs as well.

  32. I haven't received my Omega yet (couple weeks away from stamp in the mail), however I believe its going to be a very impressive can.  Seems to be well engineered and versitle.   Have you considered a Silencerco Hybrid?  Very quiet but also goes beyond your magnum caliber desires to .338 lapua and 458 socom, plus doubles as a pistol can.   I'm running an SDN6 on my 300blk 9" AAC upper and it's plenty quiet with subs, however there is better technology out there these days in the supressor world.  I haven't done it, however I'd have no concerns about indoors HD situation with this setup and subs.  It would wake the dogs but not the neighbors...lol   As far as layway goes, a local shop to me has no problem doing it for me because I'm a regular customer, however since it's not a public policy I won't disclose who it is.  That being said I'm sure you can find one who will do it, just ask around.  The shop loses nothing in the deal and the likelyhood of you not paying the balance after all that trouble is very small IMO.  From what I understand, until you pick it up they can still void the transfer by contacting the NFA if you're a no show, so why more shops don't offer this is beyond me.    I'm sure YHM cans are good quality but I'd go Silencerco in a heartbeat.  Buy once, cry once.  Don't go cheap on this stuff, especially if it's one of your first items or if you plan on only buying a few supressors.

  33. It will be tough to garner enough interest in autoloaders in high calibers.  A bit of a waste really, it's real tough to take advantage of a semi-auto when you have such a recoil.

  35. Yep, the copper grease is there for a reason, leave it there. All you need to do with that pistola is read the owners manusl, follow good firearms safety proceedures, use some good common sense in shooting it and have fun. Clean it when it needs it but otherwise just use it...and buy it a stablemate..

  42.   Where I am living there is only 1 place that I have found with a gun buster sign but the places we go to on a regular base know us.  I am a big guy and we tip pretty well so the servers remember us.  Although I have seen people open carrying in the area no one seems to notice or care.  If one of the places I go regularly were to put up a gun buster I would make sure the people who know me their know I wasn't coming back unless that sign were removed.  It might not be enough to get them to remove the sign but it would sure give them a pause.   Thanks Robert

  44. This is made from 5/32" 1095 carbon steel professionally heat treated to a RC of 59-61. OAL is 9 1/2" with a blade length of about 4 3/4". It has thumb jimping and is double acid etched and has very thin red G10 liners with Andiroba (African mahogany) and African Blackwood scales with mosaic pins. It's headed to a new home in Nashville.

  45. Nothing wrong with the barrels. It's the rest of the gun that is hit or miss on quality. The JM stamp indicates the rifle was made pre Remington takeover, and denotes a quality gun. It has little to do with the actual barrel, it's just where the stamp happens to be located.   Personally, I'll go back a bit farther than that. I'll not own a lever rifle with an exposed hammer and a safety.

  48. I have had that same watch for probably ten years now. Never once had to change a battery or set the time. I think I've replaced the band twice now. the band holds up well, but the small band you tuck the tail into is what breaks. Its always cool to see the time change at exactly the same time as other things that use the atomic clock to sync with, like the servers at work, or the Comcast box
