So how many times have you been to your doctor, dentist, chiropractor, or eye doc's office's waiting room only to find nothing but old lady magazines strewed about? If you're real lucky, maybe a Sports Illustrated or Road & Track? Why not guarantee some good reading during your wait and then paying it forward by leaving a copy or two of your favorite gun magazine? I've been doing this for years. We all have that pile laying around the house that we can't stand the thought of tossing in the garbage, yet we've read them cover to cover several times. I keep a rolling stack of such magazines in my utility closet and when I head to a doc's office, take a couple with me to slide into the pile. It's pretty fun too if you're a people watcher like me. In will walk a guy that you just know shoots cold steel, and then confirm it when he beelines right for the gun mag you put between Better Home & Gardens and the Nashville Scene. And it's always fun if you spot a liberal who suddenly gets that "shocked look of disdain!" So share the wealth and shoot it forward. :up:4 points

Used pistol Manufacture year was 2000 - picked this up today and it's my first Hi-Power. I really like the bluing and there is not a scratch or blemish to be found. It appears to have been shot very little so much so that internals look new as well. Came with just one mag and I ordered another today. I don't have a trigger gauge to tell me lbs, but this trigger is very smooth and crisp and feels the 5-6 lb range. I'll post a range report next week when I can get to the range. Cheers!3 points

So, I've gone ahead and staked some land on Gun District for TGO. As of yet we have not been kicked off of Facebook, but if it happens I am likely going to just abandon Facebook entirely. Anyway.... here's our Gun District page. https://gundistrict.com/TNGunOwners3 points

No if you bought any M16, the MG trumps all laws no other stamp needed, If you use a rdias, all your host guns under 16" must be SBR..another draw back about a rdias, if you remove the sear to move it to another host, you technically need to remove the FCG as well or your in possession of a unregistered MG. Here's my son shooting a M16 with a 12.5" G5 Shrike with a 100rd side mount nutsack https://youtu.be/5VR-BvpQx783 points

I want to thank all of the great TGO members for all their help and good wishes. MrsMonkey took this all on herself and it has been a challenge. Just one look at Cooper makes it all worth while. The little pups are fuzzy and cute and I feel will find much better homes this way, but Cooper and Glam are really special. To see these two that have never know anything other than the animal shelter is amazing. Cooper is more comfortable in his crate where he feels safe than any other dog I've seen. I think it's the first time in his life he can relax. At six months glam is seeing the world for the first time outside of the shelter. I'm really proud of my wife for doing this even after I woke up with a puppy on my face. :)3 points

Had a good day rum shopping. Trinidad, Barbados, Haiti, and Guyana all well represented. :)2 points

I did plenty of walking around on the plane on my way back but that's because I was on a KC-135 and those "seats" aren't comfortable. :-\ You picked the wrong time of the year to go to Munich... should go during Oktoberfest. :cheers:2 points

O'Reillys had the puller. Free rental with deposit for tool cost. Refunded upon return. Can't beat it.2 points

We are blessed to have room in our home and a great place for puppies to run. Around this area the is a huge amount of animal neglect and I hope we can continue to take them in and help them find great homes. And yes she's a winner, she gets me puppies and guns! :)2 points

It's a sickness man. Pretty soon inch groups won't be small enough. Then you will want half inch groups. Then you will start reloading and weighing your cases and sorting them. Prepping brass. Trying different components and different recipies...... Stop now before it's too late.2 points

I happen to own 2 .40 handguns and I want you to know that I am deeply offended by that comment. People with .40's have feeling too you know. It is not fair for everyone to pick on us. I am going to go cry now. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk2 points

Try not to over pack your carry-on. Some music, a book (or tablet), taking a few Advil when you board since you'll be stuck in a pressurized cabin for a good bit always helps me. Don't expect a power outlet for your laptop, hell don't expect any room to take it out really. Dress in layers for the flight, there are never any fixed standards on how warm or cold a flight is. What airline are you flying? Same for me. Coming west from Kuwait, I could land in the US anytime of the day and be fine until it was a normal time to go to sleep. Going east, it always took me a day or two to get adjusted again.1 point

I have to. He tolerates me dragging home dogs all the time! LOL The funny thing is, I love the smell of it but can't drink it.1 point

Yeah, I do too. Don't need an anti nut case visiting me. :pleased:1 point

I can't get over how much Cooper looks like our Tapper. We found him in the Kroger parking lot in east Nashville when he was barely the size of a softball. Here's hoping for the best for them all!1 point

This is really disheartening. I don’t use Facebook much, but the family posts stuff there so I use it. I have never been to any gun trading pages, I never got around to looking for them; guess it’s too late. I hate to see that these spoiled liberal rich kids can shut off what they don’t think is right. Don’t get me wrong; I don’t question their right to do it. Mark Zuckerberg built a company worth 245 billion dollars (more than Walmart) from his college dorm room; so I wouldn’t think he is stupid. So how can he think that banning gun owners from Facebook will help in any way shape or form? Facebook and Google won’t miss a beat with their anti-gun polices. The people that won’t use Facebook over their anti-gun policies probably didn’t use it anyway. Anyone that is serious about doing a search will still use Google. Google isn’t the only game in town, but they are so far ahead of the competition, the completion can’t see their taillights. They can shut us off, but if anyone suggested to them they ban the stoners and the druggies; that would never fly. Pitiful.1 point

You guys should all pitch in and help me buy a FA. Because as soon as I spent $30K on a FA the GCA and the NFA would be repealed and you would be able to buy a M16 for the same price as an AR15.1 point

I signed up. That place seems kinda scattered about. I think it might take some getting used to.1 point

It is 90 proof. The flavor is hard to describe. There are a couple of places around Nashville that serve it, included the BBQ joint by the same name. The ribs are much better than the bourbon.1 point

I can tell the difference in my donors. And a lot of you guys have made amazing contributions that I am beyond grateful for. I truly believe I have found my purpose in life when it comes to work. I will be looking into forming my very own rescue and filing for a 501c3. In the mean time, I am beyond proud, excited and blessed to say in almost 24 hours I have raised 40% of my goal! To everyone here who has donated I want to show my thanks! Monkey and I will have a TGO cookout this spring to say thank you. Remember, he used to be a chef! If you're interested in donating: https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225 Even the smallest bits help. Also, I will be posting new photos tonight. Coop has gained a lot of weigh already. Still looks awful but there's been a change for the good. Also I'll post our 5th foster we got last night! FYI - I also get him Bourbon and Beer too. Although that budget is going to shrink a wee bit for puppies! LOL1 point

Just got done annealing 200 pieces of 6.5x55 brass. By hand. With a blowtorch. Is there anything more tedious? Thank the gods I don't have to do this again for a few more loadings!1 point

The next broken M16 receiver I see will be the first I've ever seen. I've seen them damaged in accidents, but never in normal use. And any damage can be repaired. I've seen wallowed out hammer pin holes. But that's an easy fix. With an M16 registered receiver, you have an incredible number of calibers and other options. Including belt feeding!?1 point

Everyone knows the best way to solve was to pop one piece off and the things would fall apart then you could put them back together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXQMJx61kP0 Thanks Robert1 point

A lot the damage done to the new cars is actually helping the passengers. The energy is absorbed by the damage to the car and not by the passengers.1 point

When I still had my G20 Gen 4 I left it mostly stock however.... I would definitely put a LW SSGR and slightly heavier recoil spring in it. Id polish up the feedramp and guide rails on the inside as well as the firing mechanism Ghost 3.5 D/C and LW 6lb trigger spring Night sights or at least Glock steel sights if thats your thing Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk1 point

Another "compromise" where gun owners give up something and gun grabbing fascists give up exactly Jack Shit! Why does that not surprise me?1 point

Slide lightening cuts and a MRDS doesn't make it a race gun. I happen to like the factory grip texture of a gen4 glock otherwise I wouldn't mind changing it. For the people of are against modifying carry guns, because there should be something on the market to suit you, I suppose you drive a completely stock vehicle as well because with everything on the market there should be something to suit you. Some of us just like it being modified and not like EVERY OTHER ONE OUT THERE.1 point
