  2. I got sick of the traditional safes after years of them not fitting my needs. SBRs falling over, some too long, others too short, optics being odd sized, and of course the gun I need is always in the back. So I researched, found what I liked and paid it off (after some saving and selling what i would have put inside the safe) but still had to wait months until we moved into the new house for delivery. But it happened today. Ladies and gents i bring to you the Revolution XLT by Pendleton. I have to drill the concrete in the morning but I have to save it looks like my oddball guns should all have a home. I still need an internal storage solution for my silencers but at least my babies have a new home. It even has a spot inside to attach my security contact point and pressure plates. The internal leds are a nice touch. All in all I am pretty happy so far. I just need to recruit some friends to help me move this giant this weekend. Any of yall like pizza and beer? Ha! 3. Don't watch it if you're incapable of understanding that vets really don't give a flying shit what other people think of their language, jokes or actions.  If you are one of those people, stay far away.   I can't wait to see it.

  5.     Not sure exactly what we gave up. The prohibiting subjects of permanent protective orders, from my understanding, was already the law under federal law. And adding troopers at gun shows to do voluntary BG checks doesn't seem like losing anything. I would describe it as the VA Gov being thirsty and winning two empty buckets.    But don't think that the VA ledgslature may not still come back in a few months and hit him with some pro gun bills as payback. He did a really stupid stunt to win nothing but more enemies.

  7. It is made from 5/32" 1095 carbon steel professionally heat treated to a RC of 59-61. OAL is 10" and blade is about 5 1/2". It's also double acid etched and has a very thin red liner, ebony and mesquite scales with mosaic pins and brass lanyard hole. It has some nice file work on the spine and will also come with a kydex sheath. It's found a home in North Carolina.

  12. I'm going to predict that this will become a cult classic for military vets, especially the Post 9/11 generation.   Past that, I'm unsure and it seems the people who made it couldn't care less.   Here's a behind the scenes video that's pretty cool to see.  Don't let the link put you off, you don't need to log into Facebook to watch it.  It's another NSFW masterpiece that makes me feel right at home. https://www.facebook.com/1037324099634240/videos/1122780104421972/       Watch the end of that link I posted above. :P

  13. Poor Monkey. He probably feels like your wife. I just ordered a G17 with NiBx slide. He just rolls his eyes. Secretly I think he's happy. But I could be wrong. I mean damn we have a safe, lets fill it.

  14. If you could have chosen just one machete it probably would have split the difference in the price ;) I sold quite a bit to pay for it, I told my wife its gonna look empty when I move everything over and I needed more guns to fill it up. She rolled her eyes and gave me the finger. But she didn't say no so I'm staying positive that that was a soft yes. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

  19. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe this is one of several things VA docs are asking vets. Another is if you handle your own finances. I believe they are looking for ways to negatively classify vets in order to restrict their access to firearms.

  21. I've had a firearms related classifieds Facebook group for a few years, and I'm an Admin on countless others. While you're probably much less likely to encounter an issue with a TGO member, I haven't had any issues during my many Facebook transactions. Unless you're a big dummy, you can generally get a pretty good idea of who you're dealing with. It doesn't take much to spot a bogus Facebook account from a mile away.  Facebook has a few advantages over sites like Armslist and GOC. Not only can quickly reach far more potential customers, you can also communicate much more efficiently in the thread or via PM, when compared to email. When communicating via email, you have even less of an idea of who you're really talking to than if you have a Facebook profile to browse through.   It sucks, but it's there house, their rules.

  22. Really? I can't even take that comment seriously. I like CZs, but that has been a problem for quite some time. Had you said that the issue was fixed, then I would feel better about them. They feel like a hi power in the hand which is extremely high praise. I'm really surprised more manufacturers don't mimic the hi power grip more. The Sig doesn't feel as good. The Sig feels awful to me trying to shoot left handed. That extra hump from the decocker sure does mess with me. They (CZ) do make some pretty nice rifles. I'm surprised they aren't more popular.

  23. I don't Facebook, but I think I would find buying a gun on there only a step above doing it via Craigslist.  At least with places like TGO's Trading Post, or GunBroker you can look at peer feedback of a buyer/seller.  I'm pretty big on having some kind of verification system involved.   End of the day, their site, their rules as others have said.  I don't think it's a big deal for the gun market so much as a PR feel good for the anti-gun side.   I guess during the next AR scare, people are going to have to sell marked up black guns the old fashioned way.

  35. Your certificate of course completion is good for 6 months. The DMV willnot initiate the permit process until one is 21. So YES one may take the course before being 21, but will effectively waste their money if they do so and fall outside the 6 month time frame as noted.

  38. Retirees you are welcome what I pay in SSI, but you earned it.  You people on the teet of the government, that can work, but won't work, get a job.    I had very high blood pressure moment the other day at Walmart, two ladies who in front of me had 2 buggies each as full as you can get them, pulled the patriotic plastic to pay, the cashier says you owe $100 something in the balance (total bill was like $300 something).  She opens a wallet, and hundreds and hundreds of dollars, and paid the rest.   Geeze.................    I wanted to say you are welcome!

  39. My own opinions and experiences in this type of storage. Here goes...use ammo cans. Period.   You will spend more on plastic containers than you will on mil spec cans. You know the advantages of the cans...O-ring seals, durable stackable, etc.    Their only drawback for me is not being able to see inside them at a glance. But that's what labels are for.   I looked at containers at HD and Lowes and was very dissatisfied with them. Most don't seal well. Those that do will be 12-15 and up.   That's what I pay, tops, for ammo cans.   Go to the Nashville Flea Market and get them. There's a vet with a large booth/tent set up at the top of the hill at the main enterance on the left corner.   I've been buying from him and he's a good guy. Lots of the lgs guys buy their cans from him as well.

  44. I prefer a hammer fired gun as well. Polymer or metal framed doesn't really matter so much to me though. Even though I carry a striker fired gun, just shooting for fun I don't really like the feel of the striker fired guns trigger. I know plenty of people that feel the opposite. I have CZ's, sigs, and beretta's, I have to say that I prefer the cz's over the rest.
