If need be I can come out of retirement but this is not it. Waiting for the right one to make my return as epic as possible.9 points

Yep. That's why a smart person gets a lawyer and sets up a blind trust, gives the ticket to the trust, then has their lawyer claim the prize on behalf of the trust. Then there's no mention of your name in public at all.5 points

This is camp knife made from 1095 carbon steel 3/16" thick headed to a new home. OAL is 11 1/2" with a blade length of about 6". It has jimping on the spine for your thumb and is double acid etched. It has beautiful African Blackwood scales with nickle silver pins. It comes with the sheath shown and is professionally heat treated to a RC of 59-61.4 points

If I won very little would change except I would help more. No way I could ever spend it all so I would be helping more than I do now. My wife and I have dreamed about starting a rescue of some sort and the winnings would ensure we would be able to do good on a much larger scale.4 points

This movie is exactly what I hoped: ridiculously extravagant special effects and crazy vehicles and even a guitar player swinging off the front of Bigfoot on steroids with a guitar that shoots flames. Very little talking or plot, just action and fighting and explosions. And yes, I am a lightweight.4 points

I think if I were to win a lottery this big, it would ruin my life as I know it. My family might be able to start a new life, but I have a feeling it would end up driving a wedge between us and friends or family. I always tell my wife that I wouldn't mind winning a "meager" $500,000-1 million; enough to pay off all our debts, give some to charity, and be modestly set for retirement if invested correctly. I think winning too much in such a short time might have a negative effect on my character, and it would probably effect my children in ways that might be undesirable (based on all those reality show people who are famous for just being rich). I admire the rich who worked hard for their money, and the ones who inherited money and multiplied it through hard work or business savvy, but some people who never had to work a day in their life are probably missing something in their soul that can't be bought. I wouldn't want my children to be one of those. I also tell my wife that we will play the lottery if either of us as a dream with concrete, unambiguous numbers and date to play, or I found a frog with a pattern on its back that looks like numbers. Neither of those have happened yet. Anything else is just gambling, and I have terrible luck at gambling and contests. Or if I do win something, it is like fifth place and I just break even. Having unlimited money would definitely make life easier and possibly more fun, but I sincerely think it would not be worth it in the long run unless it was earned in some way. Maybe I'm afraid that I would feel to guilty about winning and just give it all away, so I don't play at all.3 points

You can draw out what you want, but you will still be sued and some of those will be from your best "friends" and "family". People have such a sense of entitlement that they believe they deserve part of your winnings too, after all... what did you do to earn that money? Check out that TV show the lottery destroyed my life or whatever it is called, the tips they all have is tell everyone no (I'm at expert level on that one), move away, don't invest in things you don't understand. Almost every single one of them say your friends and family are what cause the biggest issues.3 points

I don't know, Sam. Remember the Christmas Party last year when we all took that river cruise and it sunk? We sure lost a lot of guns that day...3 points

That guy with that bat looking thing got way to close. Had that happened here to me I would have upholstered and been reading to sling hot lead down range starting with the closest and going from there to any that were still coming towards me and not running away. He had Video evidence that his life was in fact in being threatened and he gave more than adequate warning that he would shoot them..............jmho.3 points

If I were fortunate enough to win that kind of jackpot, my main focus would be on setting up several no-kill animal shelters all over the country. Then I'd gladly pay off politicians to pass much stricter laws pertaining to animal abuse.3 points

You'll do very well. A couple of things impressed me with CommsNBombs. A battalion commander (Leads about 1000 folks) asked him if he new how a piece of communications equipment worked that was in a truck. Comms was able to impress him to the point that the commander asked him to be his right hand man for all of the communications systems. That tells me that he is sharp and gets things done. Also, he's much closer to the beginning of his career than many of us. Leaders have been concerned about millennial's relative to work ethic and ability to accept criticism. It's clear to me that neither of these would be an issue. Next, there is significant disconnect between IT and the business units, which is due in large part to differences in the way most techies and business people think and make decisions. I think he can grow into a role where he bridges the gap and helps both the business units and IT get what they need. Tech leaders that excel at this will be able to do anything they want to do. I wanted to meet him in person before I start connecting him with my customers, who are tech leaders and have no concerns at all.2 points

I posted on the other thread but oh well. I would right off the bat give money to friends and family. I would try to convince my 2 lifelong friends with a few million a piece to leave their jobs because who wants to be rich alone? I would concentrate on an underground bunker that can hold 20 or so people. It would be huge and would have storage for food, guns and ammo, medical supplies and so on. I would find some smart young Asian kid and send him to med school to have as backup in the bunker for our doc/surgeon. I would shoot, shoot, shoot everyday and build elaborate ranges and scenarios. I'd be getting .223 and 9mm delivered by the pallet. And I'd probably go all out and buy a lifelong benefactor membership on TGO.[emoji14]2 points

Maybe I'm just an old country boy that doesn't know any better, but I don't think I could spend $930,000,000, as mentioned earlier as the cash payout. A couple mil, easy. A few mil, likely. But, 930 mil, no way I could ever conceive a way to spend that much. Heck, you could buy more gold than what is supposed to be in Fort Knox. On second thought, I might just buy Colt, seeing how they need a buyer right about now...2 points

Another consideration to take is how do you carry them. And practicing with said method. I know dudes love running plate carriers or battle belts, or couplers or other wierd high speed CAG Operator techniques. I personally shove things in my pockets. I guess I would wear my plate carrier if some stuff went down - but that is not for everyone. Ammo gets heavy, in a dismounted situation if I were to carry a rifle, 7 mags, my Glock 20 with 3 mags weapons and ammo alone is nearing 15-20 pounds plus my plates and ruck full of crap and more ammo. You can tell when people just buy that stuff on a whim, I see heroes in full kit at MCSC all the time and they move around like pregnant whales - spending 400 on a chest rig doesnt make you an Operator same goes for drop leg ammo bandoliers and Gunfighter helmets. My $0.02, baby is asleep and I felt like venting. Yall know me and my hate of everything tactical Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk2 points

My understanding is the Gen 4 without adding one of the additional backstraps is the same size as the SF. I don't have huge hands and the Gen 4 21 is very easy to wield.2 points

Doesn't look like it's just France. I was watching some other, related videos from the one posted, and it appears to be all over Europe. I had no idea things where that bad. Europe really needs to close their borders and start deporting or several countries may slip into civil unrest. Rape is already happening, pillaging and plundering surely is next. Thank God we have the second amendment here. At this point, I would not feel safe in Europe without a gun or three.1 point

If I had $100K to blow on a double rifle, I think I'd go with the Holland & Holland. I remember seeing one as a kid all engraved and polished and thinking it was amazing. Of course, if I had $100K to spend on a rifle, I suppose I would need to get a nice shotgun to match. Edit to add: I had no idea the had a gun room in Manhattan. I'm totally checking that out next time I'm in the city.1 point

Well, another one in the books! ... er iPad, as the case may be. A good time was had by all. Great to meet some new folks as well, hopefully we'll have a few new TGO members as well. As for my shooting... meh. It was fun, let's leave it at that! Thanks MCTS for your work in putting this on!1 point

A good double is stupid expensive. I'd advise against it unless you are going to take up dangerous game hunting in a serious way. You can get cheaper ones, but they just... suck. A good bolt action CZ is much more reasonable and will do everything you need. Seriously, unless you are going to dance with animals with nicknames like "black death" you simply don't need the fast follow up shot that a double provides....It's a specialists tool. I was handling some of the CZ's at Dallas Safari Club last week and each year they seem to get better. Smooth bolt, very pretty wood and every bit as accurate (so I'm told by PH's that do this for a living) as more expensive bolt actions. Check this bad boy out: http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-550-american-safari-magnum-375-hh-5-rd-fixed-mag/ $1250. This is the bolt action I have and it's a great gun: http://www.sako.fi/rifles/sako-85/85-kodiak - but it's going to run closer to $2k For the money you are going to have a tough time beating the CZ. I like the Ruger #1, but to my mind .375 is a dangerous game caliber and hunting things that hunt back with a single shot rifle requires bigger stones than I have.1 point

If I won, the first thing I would do is disappear. The second thing would be to give half of it away to medical charities for kids or something else of my choosing. Third would be to blow 5% on completely useless stuff just to get it out of my system and fourth would be to finish school and spend the rest of my days telling all family and "friends" to screw off.1 point

I know he's gone, but he has so many out there like him. He thinks training should be required, but free. So then, when the Gov decides to have only one class a year and limit it to 20 people, all of whom donate to the party in charge, how is it said that your rights have not been infringed? And before anyone says "slippery slope" this is essentially what they have done in New York. The permit system we have now is--at BEST--a bad compromise. Hopefully we will get Const Carry before the Dems change the electorate in this state through immigration to one that suits them better.1 point

Please Note... It is perfectly legal to buy and sell firearms provided federal and state legal statutes are obeyed. Transfer of firearms ownership between individuals residing in different states must be managed by a third party who is a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder. Virtually anyone who is involved in the sale or distribution of firearms is an FFL holder, including gun shops. To take delivery of a firearm, buyers must either have an FFL or find an FFL in their local area to take delivery of the item for them. If you have an FFL, you already know what is required. For buyers who do not hold an FFL, this means the buyer must find an FFL in their area to take delivery for them. This typically means the buyer must contact a local gun shop and make arrangements for the transfer. Buyers must contact the FFL holder before buying an item. By contacting the FFL holder before buying, the buyer can verify that all state and federal laws will be observed. For most firearms, the buyer must be able to pass a background check. The GunBroker.com website has compiled a list of FFL holders who are willing to take delivery and manage the transfer of firearms on behalf of unlicensed buyers. Please check out their list at the FFL Holder Network page. Gunbroker.com has also created a page of information about shipping firearms. Click here for information about how to ship firearms, including tips on shipping using the various popular carriers. This page contains information for both dealers and unlicensed persons. Typically, accessories (such as holsters, clips, sights, scopes, etc.) do not have to be shipped through an FFL.1 point
