2. People think it's their right to drive slower than normal. What they need to be made to understand is, You DONT have a right to inconvenience others around you. Not keeping with the flow of traffic is just as deadly as some mad speedster. Doesn't matter what the actual speed is.

 3. You can pick your friend's but not your family. Their house their rules. Leave the gun in your car and enjoy their company. Life is too short to alienate your family.

 5.     it is your brother.  To steal a line from "Tombstone" you back your brother's play.   Talk to him and let him know you want to carry concealed when you visit.  If he is against it you back his play rather then him back your play.     I ask,  do you feel unsafe in his hood?  Do you really feel you will be invaded upon in his home?   Life is not always about the damn gun.

 7. Carrying a firearm on someone else's property is not a right, Constitutional or otherwise. It is a privilege extended to the guest by the property owner. This has been common law since the Magna Carta. As far as in laws go I would put it on him to be the bad guy. I would let him and her know that you carry to protect yourself AND them. Then tell them that if they insist that you still not carry in their house then tell that is not possible and that you prefer they come up your house instead.

 12.     i see you point Caster. Yours too Spots.  Gordon's post reminded me some points that make total sense.      I guess I am lucky in a way that none of my family forces me to make a decision about guns.  I disagree with some on other things, but If I have to be around them I can deal with what they want if I have to.   Ha,  I bet I am about the first person on this board to have their mind changed by points made by a few others!   You sure don't see that much around here.

 13. You've already answered your own question. How you choose to protect yourself and your family is no ones business but your own. If you're carrying concealed no one is the wiser. Me being me however, I would probably have to open carry around them just to watch their heads explode. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

In March of 2013 the Department of Defense began awarding Purple Hearts for the most severe cases, as the disease left skid-marks all over the psyche of countless troops. The award highlighted the issue and kicked the search for a cure into high hear.

 18. It can be done by cutting the grip frame, drilling for the mainspring housing pin, replacing the mainspring housing, replacing the grip panels, buying smaller magazine's, but why since officer size 1911's are available. If it were me, I would sell the commander and buy an officer size 1911 or just keep the commander and buy an officer 1911.

 24. I suppose we part ways on this one Mike. I washed my hands of the majority of my "blood relatives" many moons ago. I had had enough of their narcissistic, deluded over inflated ego. To me, family ain't got squat to do with similar DNA markers and common blood types. If it DOES and I'm wrong, then piss on the paradigm of "family". Life is too short to be tormented over some silly sense of loyalty to a bloodline. How ridiculous is it to spend time with people you can't stand to be within 100 yards of, all for the respect of common ancestors? You earn your right to be family, it's not handed to you at birth. Not for me anyway.

 25. This year its Yukon Cornelius. The original OC guy that inspired millions of boys that would grow up to be men someday to OC or at least go CC. Story behind my avatar. Last night (11/27), me and my two younger boys 6 and 3, were watching our first Christmas movie of the 2015 season, which the kid in me loves Rudolph. Anyway, my 6 year old says Dad look, that man on tv has a gun like you do and he carrys it like you do. I like him daddy. So of all of things to see in the movie, my son eagle eyes Yukon's wheel gun. I'm surprised that the mom's group has not tried to ban this kids all time favorite.

 26. so If you had been there would it have made a difference?   It is not like he was shooting anyone else.   He shot someone who made him feel fucked over.  So a guy shoots someone,  are you gonna pull your piece and shoot a guy who blew a person away even though he threatened no one else?   there are always going to be nutbags.

 32. Had the pleasure to meet with a bunch of people from TGO over the last few weeks and chat it up a bit. ARO Matt met me at the steel range at MCSC a few weeks ago and let me shoot that sexy Infinity 10mm 1911 he had, and helped me out with my pistol shooting. Last night Omega had me up in Palmyra and broke my deer dressing cherry - showed me how to skin, gut and quarter up a deer. See, I can get along with people who shoot .40. I didnt jack to it up TOO bad - the wife wasnt amused with me throwing a heart at her. Met with whiterx in Clarksville to swap some brass - he also drives a diesel F250 so he is a gentleman and a scholar just for that lol. Swapped a Mosin Stock for some deer sausage in Nashville with 10 Ring and chatted a bit. That sausage is amazing, definitely going to recreate it. Klamb5 also drove there to meet me and swapped his G31 for my G26 - now I have two full sized nuclear powered Glocks in 357SIG and 10mm. And Gjohnsoniv drove up from Memphis to deliver me a beautiful hand made IWB holster for my G32 and molded one out for the G31. Stellar craftsmanship, shut up and give him your money! Been great week of wheeling, dealing and shooting. Big thanks goes out to everyone I met, everyone was more than nice. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

 36. I'm not sure honestly. I wouldn't run from the other side of the restaurant but if I was seated close, he may have been shot before there was time to reason if he was going to shoot others. He would have certainly been drawn on, his reaction to that probably would have sealed the decision.

 37. Mine was more thanks for the real message! Always be prepared! My friends freaked a bit when we told them we recently bulk ordered ammo. My MIL is confused as to why I have 2 guns in my vehicle with 2 full mags and extra boxes of ammo. They think I'm paranoid. I am just prepared should I ever need it. I'm 97.8% sure I wont, but if I do, then awesome! I'm ready!

 38. I got family that ain't blood and blood that ain't family. They make their choices and I make mine. If they want to be an asshole or a liberal, socialist, communist, anti-gun, or whatever then that's a choice they make. And I can make the choice to simply not be around them. I've got a cousin that's anti-gun and super liberal. Haven't spoke to the guy in years. He wants to see me, he knows where I live and what my phone number is, he can come see me at my place, guns and all. Sent from behind the anvil

 39. I went to Cabela's tonight, and worried the sales staff to death comparing their display of binoculars. After much looking, fondling, asking questions, etc., I finally decided on the Leupold 10x42 Cascades. I was surprised to find, and my wife delighted, that I liked them better than the higher priced Leupold Mojave binos.   I wish I could have been there about dusk so I could have compared them in low light, but I think these are what I want.   I even looked at some $2000+ Swarovski's, and they were awesome! Just not two grand better than the Leupolds.   I've decided the trick in picking out binoculars is to find what you consider to be the point of diminishing returns. The most expensive models are the best, but just barely as I see it.

 40. Heirloom to me means a single action.   Stainless.   Since your father was into Rugers, you might as well pass that down.   Sounds like a nice Bowen worked Stainless Vaquero is in your future.       Well, I mean if you follow my advice.

 47. I had friends who played a long time ago. My basic understanding is that these caches are hidden all over the world and there are websites were you look up GPS coordinates. Then people try to find them and I think they leave a small item there. There isn't anyway on earth I'm putting coordinates and an open invatation treasure hunt on my land. As far as big knives, it's legal to carry any knife in Tennessee now, but not sure how that would work out on private land. I'm with the above, I'd don't think the game is fun if it ends with 911 and a rifle. I'd suggest removing the caches before somebody uses it as an excuse to case your place out.
