  4. I sent them a message saying that one of the plastic clips on my holster was bent out of shape(been wearing it every day since I got it at the beginning of this year)... 5 minutes later my phone was ringing and the lady informed me that she's sending not one pair but two pairs of steel clips as an upgrade because I bought two holsters from them earlier this year. I said, "That was a fast response," to which she replied, "I called you as soon as I saw your message." I am one satisfied customer.

  5. This would have had a better chance of not existing if people would've got over their "Romney isn't conservative enough" flu.  Not conservative enough is much better than what is happening now.   People better get off their asses this time and go vote and it doesn't matter who is on the ticket.

  6. Care to elaborate? Only thing I'm aware of is they had biblical scripture codes on their products and they told the government to pound sand when they told them they had to remove them from military gear. Trijicon didn't take any government grants to develop their optics or other products, they did the R&D on their own dime, the government just thought it was a good product so they bought it for the military. Government had no right to make them remove it so they didn't. Their response was if you don't like our product, don't buy it.

  8. How do they know the gun was stolen? Seems to me, if it were reported stolen, they would know who it was stolen from. If it wasn't reported stolen, the rightful owner may have stored it in the locker, and then defaulted on it. Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk

They just want their money, just got to their website to pay the ticket or call them and they will give you instructions on how to do the online trainings. My wife was an expert at this process.

There may be some mellow Mals out there, but more often than not, they will require exercise and work to remain sane. Ours is medicated for anxiety, in addition to regular exercise. They are great and loving dogs, but anyone looking to get one needs to be prepared to provide for the needs of a high energy dog, or else you're not doing yourself or the dog any favors. 13. why did you give him your permit to carry, there is no permit needed to carry in a vehicle provided you are legally allowed to own a gun?   Unless you doubt you were doing 55 mph then why go to court to fight it? Remember that idiot in the local bar that would mumble about something or another, talking all kinds of a big game, when you knew full well all he was ever going to do was go home and piss himself, then come back and plant himself on the same stool tomorrow?   As far as I'm concerned, that's the majority of the internet.  Talk is cheap when you're on a bar stool or behind a keyboard.

  16. We will see a war on our soil again, no way it would not happen. It is just a matter of when but I believe we are getting very close. And it is just not our country but the entire world. Find me a country that has not been in some sort of military fray in the last 10 years. The vast majority of the countries on this planet are dealing with terrorism or the muslim invaders attacking the countries internally. We have been largely devoid of the type of protests and antics these types pull in the EU but that will someday change as well. They have done it in every other country so they know exactly what they are doing and they will do it here.   On top of that threat we have the threat of our own government attacking us. They are calling gun owners terrorists and feel like the veterans they are a threat. Well you know what, they are and especially so when they are not treated like the patriots they are. At some point something does have to give because we cannot keep going like we are and hope to survive as a country.   But make no mistake there will be US blood shed at some point in our future.

I couldn’t possibly care any less what a Federal government candidate thinks about the 2nd amendment; that fight has been fought and will be left up to our state legislators. I care what they can do for the economy at the Federal level. So I certainly won’t be voting for any Democrats I’ve seen.

  24.   The NDAA will be "re-done" to fall in line with the approved budget numbers.  By re-done, I mean they will just change the figures allocated by line item.  They aren't going to have to re-write it, or go through the legislative process all over again unless they want to.    I think the CMP part will survive, but there is some, I'll call it vague, language in the bill that makes me wonder how smooth this will go: Subject to paragraph (2), the Secretary may transfer to the corporation, in accordance with the procedure prescribed in this subchapter, surplus caliber .45 M1911/M1911A1 pistols and spare parts and related accessories for those pistols that, on the date of the enactment of this subsection, are under the control of the Secretary and are surplus to the requirements of the Department of the Army, and such material as may be recovered by the Secretary pursuant to section 40728A(a) of this title. The Secretary shall determine a reasonable schedule for the transfer of such surplus pistols.   Reading that and the rest real quick, I don't see who is supposed to pay for all of this.  If I'm the Army, dealing with budget issues, I'm not going out of my way to make this transfer happen unless CMP is covering all the costs.

  25. Here's the story. Guy gets up to pay his bill and his legally registered (assume this means he has a permit) handgun falls out of its holster and accidentally discharges.   http://www.guns.com/2015/11/02/man-drops-gun-at-cracker-barrel-shoots-patron-video/?utm_campaign=trueAnthem:+Trending+Content&utm_content=56388f0704d30172dedd42ba&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=facebook   1. If you gun can fall out of your holster, you need a new holster (or you need to fix it so it can't). If I can't turn my holster upside down, shake it, and it still retain my handgun, I modify it until it will. All it typically takes is a Chicago screw in the right place.    2. What gun was this that goes off when dropped? I want to know so I can avoid ever buying one. News stories are so frustrating because they leave out details like this.

Otherwise, the expenses of running the courts can't be compensated with unicorns farts and fairy dust. 27. Morgan is an arrogant, self-centered SOB.  He is attempting to find his own redemption by 'saving' the member of the Wolves that he has locked up under the guise of believing that 'every life is precious'.  At the same time, he is willfully risking the lives of every person in Alexandria without so much as discussing it with them.  Did you all notice that he even went so far as to consider not locking the gate where he is keeping the Wolf?   Because of the way he is callously risking the lives of everyone else at Alexandria I would go so far as to say that, on the whole, human lives mean no more to Morgan now than they did when he was 'clearing'.  What matters to him is his so-called 'philosophy' of not directly doing the killing himself.  Instead, he sticks his head in the sand and lets others do the killing for him.  Case in point:  when Carol gave him and the preacher each a pistol he handed his to the preacher.  He didn't unload it and chuck the magazine to prevent anyone from being killed with it but, instead, put the responsibility of using it on the preacher.   Now Morgan might not be threatening to directly kill anyone in Alexandria but he is risking all of their lives just so he can stroke his own philosophical ego and prove that he can 'save' the Wolf.  This shows a complete lack of concern for the lives of all the residents.  In other words, Morgan recovered from his psychotic break by becoming a sociopath, instead.  The Morgan we knew (and liked) from the first season died when his son was bitten.

  30. I tend to get my news from different sources because I haven't trusted the "media" since about 1983 when a reporter told a fellow LEO that she'd make something up if he didn't tell her his story when he killed someone in the line of duty. I don't trust anyone with a clear agenda whether it be individuals, FOX News or MSNBC. But what is troubling to me isn't the reporting but rather what I see in the comments section below the stories.   Time and again the comments below the story interject politics regardless of whether or not the story is a political one. Time and again the comments consist of insulting remarks towards others that they don't even know, nor would they have the guts to say the same in person. Keyboard Commandos is what I call such individuals, and it seems that this county is just chock full of them! Heck, Ive even seen them on this moderated forum although they don't tend to last very long! It seems like civil discourse is a thing of the past anymore, and that's a big red flag for me as far as this country's very survival is concerned. Nothing gets done because people are too charged up with an us versus them mentality and hurt feelings. Sort of, "Why should I discuss anything with someone who can only hurl insults at me?" type of mindset.   Consider that in the 1800's there were disagreements concerning various ideas as to how this country should be operated, and those disagreements eventually devolved into The American Civil War in 1861. This was a time of a more civil discourse between parties, and it turned into one of the bloodiest times in our history still impacting us today! Today we have Facebook and Twitter that can take a disagreement to hostilities in mere minutes. Also consider that one of the common denominators with the mass shooters in recent history is their use of the Internet. Could it be that people who feel socially awkward in public turn to the Internet and its unregulated conduct just to find the worst in human interactions, and then they flip that switch that says everybody sucks and deserves to die?   I've seen some members of this forum comment upon how there would never be another civil war - and chastise others for even thinking that there will be - but I submit that the evidence indicates the contrary. I'm watching our society devolve into a bunch of rude :poop: heads that have no respect for anyone else, their opinion, or even their life. I see it on the roads with what we've termed "Road Rage," and I've seen it in our politics, entertainment, and even in religion of all places. I see other countries that do not like us do their best to exert pressure as well. I see our country polarizing to a degree that I've never witnessed in my 55 years, so what makes the terrifying idea of a civil war coming so far out there? This time it won't be North against South, but rather Conservative versus Liberal with it being even harder to identify the enemy. And this time it will weaken us at a time when other countries are just waiting for that right moment to attack, and then we'll be screwed.   Yes, I don't foresee good things for this country because I don't see any way to change the pathway before us.

  33. I don't know if you pressure can or not, but venison is an excellent meat for such. You can take some of the less choice cuts, pressure can them (pints for 75 minutes ans quarts for 90 minutes iirc)...it will make the toughest cuts incredibly tender. We enjoy the tenderloins and backstraps grilled of course and usually cook the roasts in a dutch oven, but canning the venison gives you some delicious and tender meat for various soups and stews. Canning preserves the meat for several years, quite safely, as well. We ate a quart jar of home canned smoked sausage (from 2010) earlier this week...canned with sliced jalapenos...very tasty!

  37. I don’t see it happening over or because of any political beliefs. There are too many people like “us” that would put a quick stop to it. “Us” being those of us that are Patriots and will not stand by wringing our hands while someone attempts to overthrow our government or way of life. That group would die where they make their stand. It certainly wouldn’t be a race war; that won’t happen. However, it could turn into a free for all if our economy and our government collapses. If you want to blame the internet or the government; so be it, but they didn’t cause the problems and we are the only ones that can fix them. I don’t really see that happening, far too many are only concerned with themselves.

  38. There you go. That is a good start. In fact mag changes while watching TV is a good way to get your mag changes to where they are second nature and get you well on your way to not having to think about it. Instead you simply eject and insert the new one while focusing on the tv. As time goes on you get faster and smoother and not have to watch your hands to make it happen.    OBVIOUSLY DO NOT HAVE AMMO PRESENT.   Now, just set aside some time to work on drawing and driving the gun to the target and pressing off the shot. Which shot is the most important? The FIRST one. So we should probably work on our draw and 1 shot quite a bit.   All you need is a single target and a place where people will not be distracting you. I set up targets in my office/ man room at home and at the end of the hall way. I remove all ammo and make sure that people are not walking into the hallway while I'm doing my dry work. As little as 15 minutes a couple of nights a week will yield results. EVERYONE can spare 30 minutes a week if they choose to.

  39. I got into reloadin because of a specific cal., ammo was hard to find and expensive as heck, .41 mag. look at the price "if" ya ever see it. Now I load for almost everything I shoot. And not sure if I load to shoot, or shoot so I can load, lol. Besides what a way to spend rainy and/or cold days. I like some odd and hard to find stuff, 35 Rem., 444 Marlin, & 308 MX. Stuff I guarantee ya ain't gonna see at ww, or some of the sporting goods stores, and if you do, ya better have deep pockets. and like Greg said "variety", so for me it just makes more sense.  Even 44 mag, 45 Colt I can produce for fraction of the cost of the factory stuff.   I have a Lee 4-hole turret, with the discs for all the calibers, and you can run it like a progressive for some handgun calibers, or as a single stage for rifles. I started out with just a few handgun cal. the first couple years, then 223 now every rifle cal. I own. The way prices were the past couple years, and the non existent and unavailability of most I am sure glad I did.   The thing about powders are they are not cal. specific, and can be used in the different cal. You can even run "some" of the handgun powders in "some" of your rifles. And like others have said you can load some powder puff loads for cheap practice, or young and new shooters. Or some real thumpers. With a little time & patience's you can make ammo more accurate than factory. As we all know no 2 firearms especially rifles won't shoot the same ammo the same.   Well I guess I've pretty much mimicked what everyone else has said. Good luck in your endeavor, and happy shootin.

  41.   I don't have cable and so I watch TWD with friends at their house.  My first comment as Morgan was heading out the door to leave the cabin was, "Be danged if I'd leave that place behind to go wandering around among walkers, again.  He wouldn't have to stay there alone, as Eastman cautioned him against doing.  Instead, I'd use it as a base to start a community.  The first thing I'd do is go and find those two people he saved and bring them back there."    I know they wanted to get Morgan back with Rick and his group but I think it would have been more interesting if Morgan had ended up bringing a few people to the cabin and training them in Aikido just as Eastman trained him before he left.  They could have expanded the gardens, etc. and - once they were established and he knew they could protect themselves and that Eastman's cabin wouldn't be going to waste - then Morgan could have told them one day that he was leaving.  Even if he had only brought those two people he encountered in the forest back and helped them get set up to feed and defend themselves it would have been more satisfying.  Instead, it was like, "All life is precious but not precious enough for me to postpone my walkabout for a few weeks to save those two, obviously good people who I just ran across in the woods and possibly even start a safe haven/community that could be here even after I am gone."

  42. I'm just going to 'replay' my post from another forum.  I usually agree with the 'choices' the writers, producers, etc. make on the show but I have to say that not only could Morgan's story have been told in 45 minutes, tops, but I wish that they had done so. Telling the character's stories is one thing - and a good thing, IMO - but letting the story drag and get boring is another. With all the action of the last, couple of weeks I can see a desire by the showrunners to slow things down a bit but last night's episode was too slow. The characters were interesting and the actors did a great job but doing a special, 90 minute episode (other than the season opener) of a normally 60 minute show should mean that there is a lot going on not that your are going to allow a 45 minute story to go on for 45 minutes too long. I really didn't expect to find out anything about Glenn in last night's episode and I don't know how they could have worked elements of the rest of the current action in. I guess mostly I just think they should have done the episode in an hour and left it at that. Now, I have to ask - does anyone else find themselves not liking Morgan very much? I mean, I want to like him but don't know if I can. For one thing, I see a strong correlation between Eastman and the people of Alexandria. To my thinking, it is easy to do the whole zen, "I don't kill because all life is precious," thing when you live by yourself in a cabin in the woods where you are never faced with having to kill other people to survive. Sure, like the folks of Alexandria he has dispatched a few walkers but that was it. Morgan was trying to kill him but, honestly, wasn't a "real" threat as Eastman put him out easily. Further, we find out that - when push came to shove and someone harmed people he cared about - Eastman is a killer - and a stone cold one at that. Again, it is easy to say that, "After that I decided never to kill again," and stick to it when there is no one around to kill and you aren't facing people who are hell bent on killing you and everyone you care about. Honestly, I found Eastman's philosophy to be a cop out. Still, as he never had to live 'out there' I can sort of forgive Eastman for his rather naive world view. Morgan, on the other hand, has lived 'out there' so - while he definitely needed to make the return trip from Crazytown - he should also know that sometimes you have to kill, if not to protect yourself then to protect others. For Morgan to wholeheartedly adopt the philosophy of a guy who has lived a life that is sheltered from what is really going on when Morgan should know better is downright disingenuous on Morgan's part. Now, add on that Morgan is keeping one of the Wolves locked up inside Alexandria. When Eastman made the choice to try and help Morgan he was endangering only himself (and the goat) and then not as much as it might have seemed because he could obviously handle himself against Morgan. Morgan, by contrast, is endangering every, single person in Alexandria - including (just as the crazy Wolf guy, himself, said) all the children and others who cannot defend themselves to try and 'save' a (probably irredeemable) psychopathic killer. That is unacceptable. Further, Eastman was a freakin' forensic psychiatrist whose profession had been working with violently insane people on a daily basis. This gave him an expertise in being able to recognize who could be helped - and possibly even to what extent - and who would never be anything but a cold-blooded killer. It also meant he had training and experience in giving said help. Morgan has none of that background, training or experience and no such skills. For him to risk all those innocent lives (which should be 'precious' to him) just to make some ham-handed attempt to redeem one nutjob is about as stupid as it is arrogant. Yeah, I'm really starting to dislike Morgan. If Rick finds out, he'll probably put a bullet in the brain of the psychopath and he would be right to do so. If Rick thinks the Wolves took Judith and finds out about the guy Morgan has locked away then Rick will do whatever it takes to find out where the Wolves would have taken Judith, even if it means torturing the guy. If Morgan got in his way, well, we'd probably find out how well a stick would fare against a Colt Python at thirty yards. Even Daryl - who seems to be trying to soften up a bit - would be behind Rick if Judith were at risk. Heck, for that matter forget Rick or Daryl - to save his sister Carl would drop Morgan and get medieval on Mr. Psychopath in a heartbeat.

  46. I have said for a very long time that the 300 Blackout is the PERFECT caliber for end of times. It is much easier to cast bullets for than 5.56. It is more miserly with the powder than 5.56, develops similar energy with 1/3 less powder. The parent case, 5.56, can be found anywhere guns are shot. It will easily cycle with subsonic bullets in an AR then fire supersonic bullets without issue. It can be loaded with 0 buck balls for taking small game. Oh, and one more thing, it can do most of this while using blackpowder now.   Not many calibers are as useful or as versatile as the 300 Blackout.   And with a rethink of how to use the 300 Blackout it becomes much more of a viable long range caliber as well. Right now everyone I know, with the exception of a few, load either lightweight supersonic rounds or heavy subsonic rounds. The lightweight rounds run out of steam pretty quickly and the heavy bullets start out without a lot of steam but hang onto the steam a lot longer. But what about loading those really heavy bullets at max velocity? Using a 220 SMK loaded to 1,400 fps (which is doable) that bullet will remain supersonic past 500 yards and at 500 yards it has over 200 foot pounds more energy than a 125 loaded to maximum pressures.   Right now there are 3-5 of us testing to see where the middle is. That is the middle between lightweight bullets and heavy bullets loaded at max to determine how far a supersonic bullet will go out of a Blackout. We are thinking that using a 175-180 bullet will yield the longest supersonic range. Imagine taking a standard AR 15 and using it in the same role as most people use AR10's. I have said that the 300 Blackout is like a 308 Winchester minus 275 yards. We are trying all the traditional powders as well as some not so traditional, like blackpowder, powders. I recently did some testing and was amazed that almost all of the "5.56" powders ran my Blackout. I also have some great loads using Blue Dot which has traditionally been used solely for pistols but cycles my 300 Blackout AR without issue. But that makes sense because the 300 Blackout is nothing more than a pistol caliber. 45 ACP cases hold more than a 300 Blackout and 357 magnum is nearly identical. So if you view the 300 as a pistol caliber the powder choices grow substantially.   We never expected BP to be ideal but considering you can find all the components to make it at most pharmacies BP would be a great alternative when nothing else is available.

  47. Meh. It's a fun round. Screw logic and all that crap. What place does that have in a hobby? Haha! I just got into 10MM last fall and love it. If i used logic, I never would have gotten it. Harder to find, more expensive, all the things you just stated about 357 Sig. I love it anway. In fact, because of this thread, I'll probably be ordering 357 Sig conversion barrels for my 3 M&P 40s, a compact, full size, and Pro. I have 19 40 cal mags between them that will already work. $450 dollar's worth of barrels and I have 3 new 357 Sigs! I already have a 9mm barrel for the full size, and the swappability is just awesome. I let new shooters start off with the 9, and then go 40 when they're comfy. It'll be sweet to hop over to 357 Sig. Party on dudes!
