Went out this morning and seen 5 Hogs. Two of them went "Wee, Wee, Wee", all the way to the cooler. This little sow dressed at 150 pounds taken during a LEGAL hunt . Have a blessed day! Dave4 points

Just because you are a true believe doesn't mean that you want to die. God says to die is to gain: however, I still worry for my wife and family. I'm not afraid to die, but I do fear how I die. You can't reconcile forgiveness because you can't think as God does. That's a hard thing for people to grasp, and they complain that God doesn't do what we think God should do. Well, we aren't God. Again, this isn't a good venue for this kind of conversation. This is best done face-to-face with someone who's well-grounded in the Bible; not religion. God isn't about a religion; he's about a relationship.3 points

I would have have said "atheist". Oh wait .... ;) But seriously, I don't have to stay totally consistent with that ... iffen the shootin starts between you Christians and the Muslims in the streets, I reckon I'll shoot at the Muslims, since I already know English and all, and youse guys won't put me to death as a non-believer. ;) - OS3 points

I personally do not see it that way. Scripture tells me to put my faith in Christ even over my life - all of it. If not, why believe in Him the first place? Now... do I have the ability.... I hope so. I would live in shame the rest of my life otherwise.3 points

i have a gps unit that works everywhere that may fit inside of or outside of a game cam housing. if anyone is interested contact me off list or through the message feature. these bad boys are small, cheap and work as good as 10k gov units ive worked with.... edit this way once they swipe the unit, you can track it,and nail em...this satellite unit works everywhere w no blackout areas. catching em might make it worth the investment... You can always use the trick where you put out a cheapo camera as bait and have another well hidden camera close by to get pictures of the theif, just depends how bad you want to catch them and how much risk you are willing to take.3 points

Isn't it ironic that law abiding gun owners are being attacked by someone who should rightly be in prison on several different offences?2 points

Consider an M1A or perhaps an M1A Scout Squad. I recently acquired one in Walnut and it's the bee's knees. Haven't scoped it or reached out past 100 yards with irons yet but it is more than capable and I find myself questioning the need for any other rifles. http://www.springfield-armory.com/products/m1a-scout-squad/2 points

You can have your own opinion, but not your own facts. And you can't spell Peyton. :) - Tee Martin was the QB of the national championship team. - Fulmer beat FL 3 more times after Peyton - Fulmer beat Bama 6 more times after Peyton - OS2 points

This one is made from 1/8" 1095 carbon steel and has black canvas micarta scales with yellow G10 liners with kydex sheath. It has jimping on the spine just in front of the handle and up near the point for better grip during skinning. It's headed to Minnesota to it's new owner in a day or two.2 points

Denying him and telling a killer what he wants to hear are two very different things. Just like our laws; it’s all about intent. I’ll say whatever someone wants to hear if it keeps me alive. Anything less makes no sense.2 points

?? Fulmer was 11-5 against Bama. And yeah, only 5-12 against FL, but 5 is a helluva lot better than zip in the last 11 years, huh? Plus one of them was on the way to a national championship. So let's put Fat Phil's record in a bit of context here. - OS2 points

I think with the difficulty we had getting the park carry law passed and signed into law shows the great difficulty we would have in legalizing carry in colleges and more so K-12 schools in this state with a handgun carry permit. You will never get college carry legalized in a Constitutional Carry law in this state. In roughly half the states you can carry on a college campus, with a license. Out of that half, maybe ten you can legally also carry in K-12 schools, again with a license. The politicians in this state somewhat tolerate the handgun carry permit system and like to throw a few crumbs toward improving it every so often so they get a vote. It is important to remember that the House Speaker and the Lt Gov/Senate Speaker could have never allowed a floor vote on park carry. The recent democratic house speaker never would allow floor votes on any bills that improved the handgun carry permit. I think you'd have a greater chance in dropping the 'no guns' signs penalties for people with permits and maybe college carry with permits before you would ever get Constitutional carry. With limited time during legislative session, that is what I would focus efforts lobbying for. Gun rights organizations just need to work the best way that they can with committee chairs and other key legislative leaders, especially with realistic bills that make sense in improving the permit system.2 points

That designs in line with others I've seen pictured circa 1940's and later so its a proven commodity, The only thing I'd do from a safety standpoint is stitch a n extra layer of leather, kevlar or plastic into the face of the sheath.1 point

I've really heard the term "common sense gun laws" beaten to death in the past few days. I really believe that this phrase was coined to 1) insult anyone that does not agree with the proposed measures and 2) subtly convince the uneducated, uninformed and the fence sitters that going against the proposed measure would defy logic. I know that I am preaching to the choir here but only a fool would simply go along with any government proposal without examining the contents for themselves and drawing their own conclusions.1 point

I say the best rifle round is one which you can afford to shoot the most of. In this case, the 5.56 and .308 will be the best bet depending what you want to happen on the receiving end of things. Both can take down any wildlife in TN, and both can be had in bolt action; but it sounds like you would be better served by the .308. Plenty of surplus ammo, reloading components and will reach out and touch at 600 yards easily.1 point

So I will probably get crucified for this as apparently I am the resident anti-Christ, but I have a serious question. If you were asked and you really believe, why would not say it? Wouldn't whatever happened after that be God's will as many would like to say. If you are true believer, it seems there is no choice, no? Don't get me wrong, I completely understand someone saying No if they thought it would keep them alive, but as some have suggested, that may not be the scriptural thing to do. I would guess some will say, God will understand and forgive you, but that is what I guess bothers me. Seems to me you can know what you should do and not do it and in the end, it doesn't matter. Really, some would say you can do anything and if you truly repent, then God will forgive you. I guess I just see that as too easy of an out. Let's be clear, I would tell anyone to say whatever keeps them alive, but it is these issues where I really see some of the most vocal religious voices (not talking specifically on here, but just in general) as hypocritical.1 point

If I were about to be executed for my faith, especially in front of many others, I would pray for the strength of Samson and the speed of light to overcome him. And then use everything I had to send him to Lucifer.1 point

Dying as a Martyr in Christ (even if you admit to being Christ Follower in front of your killer) is not suicide. No person of strong faith would even be capable of denying Him. Check out the story of Stephen. Very much a similar situation (except rocks, not guns)... Scripture records that Jesus stood up (!) in anticipation of Stephen. Second, once a believer and professing faith, there is nothing that one can do to self to remove self from grace & salvation. Even those who were indeed saved, and later recanted... may be surprised. Just as those who think good behavior / good works will get one into Heaven. God's grace is indeed amazing.1 point

I don't think that a Russia/US engagement will kick off anything, but I do worry about any incident between Russia and another NATO country escalating quickly. Case in point, Russian jets acting in Syria appear to have "accidentally" strayed into Turkish airspace, and the Turks are hardly the kind of people to turn the other cheek to those kinds of insults. Theoretically, we're a mistake away from wondering if Article V of NATO is worth going to war over.1 point

Believe me, I will. This gun has a bit of a story behind it... I just really started getting to know my dad back in May (I'm 30), and we started because I found out he had been diagnosed with ALS. We are trying to make the most of what time he has left. The fun thing is that I am virtually his clone in many, many ways. I am also getting to know my two sisters through this process. All of the guns I currently own have come from a grandfather, my great-grandfather, my father-in-law, and my father. None of them will ever be sold. Brandon1 point

I posted over in the accessories forum asking a question regarding this firearm, but I figured I'd post here too... Anyway, earlier this last week my wife and I went to see a movie (Black Mass, really good, I recommend), and when we walked into the theatre we both noticed that they were searching people's bags. My wife (who is the least situationally aware person ever) mentioned it, and said it was probably due to now-trend-of movie theatre shootings. Well, when we walked into the theatre my wife pointed out a dude sitting down in the front, alone, hat pulled low, just... kinda flagged her alarm, as it did mine... We stayed for the movie, and obviously nothing happened. However, with this being a trend now, not just in theaters but anywhere really it got me thinking. I don't want to NOT go do the things we enjoy out of a feeling of fear, if we do that the terrorists (domestic or foreign) are doing what they intend to. So I've decided it's time for me to EDC a firearm, at least as much as I can. I've been buying guns for a while now, and even carried some, but call me naive or ignorant, I've never felt the need to actually have something to protect me and mine till recently... So I took a quick trip to the Nashville Armory... Looking forward to breaking her in.1 point

Are there no shops that produce aerospace parts in your area? With your aircraft experience I would think you would be a prime candidate. Don’t limit yourself to machine operator, your skills may get you an entry level position in Quality. Have you submitted a resume to the headhunters in your area? I hear all the time that there are no jobs, but Aerotek Nashville calls me all the time. There is one in your area. http://www.aerotek.com/locations/united-states/tennessee/knoxville.aspx1 point

If only I had some money to blow. I love the Gen 2 guns. I feel if the next generation of Glocks had the finger grips removed, had Gen 4 texture, and a grip reduction we would truly have perfection.1 point

Not sure if it is possible but if you want your AR to be 100% reliable in a SHTF I would see if an AK47 will fit inside the grip. That would be the one the to make my "fighting" AR more reliable. In all seriousness I would put a extractor spring, rubber o-ring, cam pin and disconnector in the grip. Those would fix 90% of the issues a currently reliable gun gun might have. And if you have room toss a spare bolt in there.1 point
