  2. All I want for all Americans is for everyone to be treated fairly. Right now that is just not the case and that is because no one is willing to admit that all parties involved have some culpability in where we are as a country. Having anyone openly calling for the killing of others should be prosecuted the same as anyone else and without regard to skin color. But what we have is a group of racists who claim they cannot be racists despite the fact they are distinguishing who should be harmed solely on the skin color. If these statements were made by anyone other than these racists there would be a national outcry for justice but because they are black they are allowed to make these threats under some sort of misguided sense of retribution. And there will be some who will act upon these inciteful words but only the shooter will be held accountable, not those urging the killing of innocents. A racist makes decisions, good OR bad, based on race alone and I have yet to see anything from Farrakhan or any of the race baiters to make me think they are not racists. But is even worse that our administration will not treat everyone fairly. They too will use race as the key factor in determining their reaction.

  5. I should rectify that wording on our website. We handle 100% of the paperwork for you and most of the larger companies (Buds, AIM, Palmetto, too name a few) already have our FFL on file, so they'll ship right away with zero need to wait on anything from us. Our transfer fee is $10 for the firearm and $10 for the background check. And yes, this is Rachel and I'm happy to have our on-site gunsmith available to show her how to break down and clean her first firearm at no additional charge while she's here. Let us know what we can do to help! Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk

  10. Thousands showed up.....thousands of flags were flying.....the street was lined on both sides for miles.....over 800 Patriot Guard Riders. I'm sure everyone had a lump in their throat when the procession drove by.  I know mine did.  Rest in peace Sgt. David Allen Wyatt. Thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice representing our country.   Edited to include a video. This is the area I was at. Northgate Mall. The Patriot Guard Riders were amazing.  The crowd you see on both sides of the road continued for the entire 18 or so miles where practical. Another thing is how quiet and respectful it was.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i83pWp9RVgM

  11. But I guess Farrakhan isn't going to be one of the 10k so no chance of shutting him up.   Seriously how can that not be called a terrorist threat.  You know there are some people that would do it.

  14. Whether you are racist or not, bigot or not, or whatever heinous thing you may be... It's OK...Don't worry about it... This current crop of black supremacist trash has made you that way... Not many apparatchiks in the "race baiting" industry are worried about it either....It's high time for white folks to understand what they are (...and have been, in many locations...) up against with these people, and to quit believing this "white privilege" trash...   Most people are exactly what they want to be... There are plenty of people that that have been fabulously successful in the black community; but they left this silly black supremacist and "the man dun put me down" trash behind them...     Brother Louis Farrakhan is a manipulative, black separatist, black supremacist nut; and a mouthpiece for what many on Team Obama's Cabinet believe on a personal basis... He is, in fact, advocating a race war ALA what is (...and has been...) going on in South Africa where the black/white population is about 95/5... Here in the good ole USA, the black/white population is about 13/83 (...incuding our latino brothers and others in the mix..)... The math just aint right for a race war...   The Obama regime is ignoring this insane rhetoric because they believe what Farrakhan and the murderers in South Africa believe....Farrakhan is saying what they cannot say... Make no mistake, they believe the same things that he does...That is exactly why the Obama regime says the things it does and does the things it does...   Look at the current treatment of police forces in big cities across the country... They are being neutered and cowed into not touching any black crime problem, no matter how heinous.... Whitey is the problem.. The police are the problem...   Curiously enough, the thugs and deviants who do these crimes seem not to be the problem... It's a bizarre phenomenon that is counter to common decency, the law, and even common sense... It's a bizarre alter-reality in which the thugs and hoodlums seem to be the aggrieved citizens with super rights, and that decent folks, black and white are the problem... It's nothin more than a lame attempt to foment a revolution in this country ALA the South Africa thing...   Do i believe it will work...?  No... ... Do i believe there will be a race war..?. No... Do i believe there will be places where this sort of things will go on..?. Yes... Look at St Louis, Cleveland, and Cincinnati.... Do i believe it will reach down here to the good ole x-confederacy...?   No....     We are living in as dangerous time as there has ever been in this country; including the Civil War... The 2016 elections can't come soon enough....   I used to laugh at Brother louis Farrakhan... He is entertaining, and is a great orator... Lately, i ain't been laughing too much...   Keep your powder dry...   watchin leroy

  17. Just a note: TN doesn't have a "small claims court" per se. Things of this nature for damages under $25K are heard in General Sessions court. Or more properly, "The Court of General Sessions".   Perhaps those are the magic words for this lady?   That said, you might well still need one of them lawyer creatures for one reason or another.   - OS

Not the biggest fan of Sean Hannity sometimes but he said something a while back that really made a lot of sense to me..."If you pay attention to politics you'll never watch a good movie and you'll never listen to good music". I have found that to be pretty accurate recently with the exception of a few.

  23. Certainly you can be charged. That’s why they call it an “opinion”. The AG doesn’t make law; he is interpreting what he thinks the law is. A Judge is not bound by his opinion and could disagree. If you decide to “test” a law you should talk with the attorney that will be representing you in your case.

Haslam says,  "since AG's opinion has raised questions that may justify lawmakers reviewing the guns-in-parks measure for possible clarity."   The "questions" of course always involve how can we possibly allow the people we reluctantly license to carry to actually carry.   http://www.wbir.com/story/news/politics/2015/08/03/haslam-says-guns-in-parks-bill-worth-reviewing-for-clarity/31071349/   - OS

  29. The wife and I took our kids out today.  I wanted the kids (9,11 and 17) to be part of this and hopefully gain some understanding of the sacrifice that others are making to give them such a good life.  We were on the road side for about 3 hours today and the turn out was amazing but honestly, it was not at all surprising.  I new that this town would turn out to show respect.  Tuesday I will take the kids back out for Naval officer Randall Smith's funeral.

HAHAHAHA.   Truthfully, we wanna share more as it relates to gunsmithing and repairs (helping folks with their various issues), but you guys are always so fast on the draw - and with correct information most of the time - that we haven't been able to jump in as much as we like. Lol. And considering a lot of the bro-science that's out there, this is a VERY good problem to have! :) It's refreshing to find a forum with knowledgeable members who are just as enthusiastic about their firearms as we are!

If the oven trick doesn't work use a soldering iron and place it on the back of the grip bushings and be careful using a flat screw driver you can mess up the slot easily. go to http://1911addicts.com and check out a set of Brian Challis Grip Bushings, they are great I'm not sure they come in Thin but do a search and see what comes up. There is a ton of info. over there and several well known 1911 gunsmiths that are on there and will answer any question you have along with any other member there also.  sorry double post

Shoot them.  I can't tell the diff between mag and not mag primers in most loads .... and  9mm is particularly forgiving if the gun is +P rated and you are using normal pressure data.   Yea I don't label it but the only stuff on my bench is current production, the rest stored in another place.  Its worked so far.

  45. I read this on another forum a long time ago, and it is still one of the funniest things I've ever read. Around age 10 my dad got me one of those little bad-ass compound bow beginner kits. Of course, the first month I went around our land sticking arrows in anything that could get stuck by an arrow. Did you know that a 1955 40 horse Farmall tractor will take 6 close range rounds before it goes down? Tough sumbich. That got boring, so being the 10 yr. old Dukes of Hazzard fan that I was, I quickly advanced to taking strips of cut up T-shirt doused in chainsaw gas tied around the end and was sending flaming arrows all over the place. Keep in mind this was 99.999% humidity swampland so there really wasn't any fire danger. I’ll put it this way- a set of post hole diggers and a 3 ft. hole and you had yourself a well. One summer afternoon, I was shooting flaming arrows into a large rotten oak stump in our backyard. I happened to look over towards the carport and see a shiny brand new can of starting fluid (ether). The light bulb went on. I grabbed the can and set it on the stump. I figured it would probably just spray out in a disappointing manner. Let’s face it…to a 10 yr. old mouth-breather like me ether really doesn't "sound" flammable. So, I went back into the house and got a 1 pound can of black powder for muzzle loader rifles. At this point, I set the can of ether on the stump and opened up the can of black powder. My intentions were to sprinkle a little bit around the ether can but it all sorta dumped out on me. No biggie, 1 pound of black powder and a 16 oz can of ether should make a loud pop kind of like a firecracker, You know what? Fight that! I'm going back in the house for the other can. Yes, I got a second can of black powder and dumped it too. Now we're cookin'. I stepped back about 15 feet and lit the 2 stroke soaked arrow. I drew the nock to my cheek and took aim. Upon releasing the arrow I heard the sound of a car door closing as the arrow sped its way to my target. In what can only be described as the slow motion frame by frame advancement on a VCR, I turned to see my dad getting out of the truck. SHEET…he just got home from work. As God is my witness it took 10 minutes for that arrow to reach the can only 15 feet distant. I see my dad walking towards me with a *** look in his eyes. I turned back towards my intended target just in time to see the arrow pierce the starting fluid can right at the bottom, right through the pile of black powder and into the can. When the shock wave hit it knocked me off my feet. I don't know if it was the actual concussion from the blast or the 235 fighting decibels of sound that laid me out. I do recall a milliseconds glimpse of the violence during the initial explosion and I will tell you there was dust, grass, and bugs all hovering 1 foot above the ground as far as I could see. It was like a low layer of a dust based fog full of grasshoppers, spiders, ants, earthworms and a crawfish or two. The daylight turned purple. Let me repeat this...THE FIGHTING DAYLIGHT TURNED PURPLE. There was a big Sweetgum tree out by the gate going into the pasture. Notice I said "was". That mo-fo up rooted and ran off. So here I am, on the ground, blown completely out of my shoes with my Thunder Cats T-shirt shredded, eyebrows singed with my dad on the other side of the carport having what I can only assume is a Vietnam flashback. ECHO BRAVO CHARLIE YOUR BRINGIN' EM IN TOO CLOSE!! CEASE FIRE GOD DANG IT…CEASE FIRE!! His hat has blown off and is 30 ft. behind him in the driveway. All the windows on the north side of the house are blown out and there is a slow rolling mushroom cloud about 200 feet over our backyard. We had a Honda 185s 3 wheeler parked on the other side of the yard. The fenders are drooped down from the heat and are now touching the tires. I wish I knew what I said to my dad at that moment but I truthfully don't know - I know I said something. But I couldn't hear, my ears were ringing so loud I couldn't even hear inside my own head. I don't think he heard me either...not that it would have really mattered. The fact is I don't remember much from this point on. It's all very foggy. I said something, felt a sharp pain, and then woke up later. I felt a sharp pain, blacked out, woke later.... this happened for an hour. I remember at one point my mom had to give me CPR. And I do recall hearing dad say something to the effect of “bring him back to life so I can kill him again”. But I’m told I was just hallucinating. Thanks mom. One thing is for certain...I never had to mow around that stump again. Mom had been *****ing about that thing for years and dad never did anything about it. I stepped up to the plate and handled business. Dad sold his muzzleloaders a week or so later, we got some new windows, and that quad I'd wanted for some time. And to this day I still have some sort of bone growth abnormality either from the blast or the beating, maybe both. I guess what I'm trying to say is, get your kids into archery. It's a good discipline and will teach them skills they can use later on in life. Sent from the backwoods
