Seen on a tee shirt during a friend's trip through Utah: "IF GOD HAD INTENDED FOR MAN TO BE A VEGETARIAN HE WOULD HAVE MADE BROCCOLI MORE FUN TO SHOOT AT." At long last somebody found a suitable use for the @#$%^ stuff. :rofl:6 points

Funny part is I saw him do that live at Woodstock. That was my last Concert me and a few buddies went to before shipping out. My Biggest thrill of the entire weekend was when Jimmie Hendricks joined Janis Joplin on stage and performed together for about 1/2 an hour. That made the whole trip worth while for me.6 points

I'll bring Sharpies, sticky name tags and the little tent postcards where you write you name and put it on the table - already have them. White - check balding - check belly - check I knew I was getting older when I would see smoking hot 21 year old women, yet couldn't look at them "that way" as it made me feel like a dirty old man. :grouchy:5 points

I bought a 10mm Fusion Firearms frameset a couple of years ago with the intention of building it myself. I started buying some of the parts, bought the Jerry Kuhnhausen shop manual, and had a solid plan in my head. Flash forward to last month when the frame is still sitting untouched in my safe. I decided the easiest thing to do would be to throw some money at the problem so I took it to Predator Customs along with the parts I'd already bought and asked them to build it for me. I picked it up today and couldn't be any happier. All of the non-Fusion parts are either Cylinder & Slide or Ed Brown. The color is called Tungsten Gray and it looks absolutely incredible in the sun.4 points

It's not often that my mother sends me a link to something funny but she did tonight. I'm in the bed laughing my ass off while the ol' lady tries to sleep. I really get a kick out of this. More than I do with the NFL bad lip sync. Thought I would share. He was definitely out of his head on stage. Maybe a little LSD and coke? https://youtu.be/3xJWxPE8G2c4 points

Personally, I love broccoli. It's an elusive prey, however. Fond of taking shelter in cool wet places that are well-lit and crowded, broccoli knows a would-be hunter will not be able to take a clean shot. The easiest way to capture this prey, is to snatch it up, smother it with a plastic bag, and haul it out of it's den in a metal cart along with some its friends, like a ribeye steak and a baking potato. I've heard a lot of Crimestoppers messages, but this is the best by far: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2015/07/27/watch-this-lieutenants-message-to-a-burglar-thats-so-powerful-its-being-shared-around-the-world/3 points

Regardless of how you feel about 'escorts' and other so-called 'sex workers' (personally, I don't feel it is anyone's business as long as the payer and payee are consenting adults), it looks like this lady may have taken out a serial killer, possibly saving not only her life but the lives of others and saving taxpayers the eventual expense of putting him on trial (that is, assuming he was ever caught.) http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/west-virginia-woman-who-shot-alleged-attacker-may-have-slain-serial-killer/ar-AAduEL6?ocid=ansWashpost113 points

Hi Guys, Groupon has a one day deal on the CRKT Ken Onion knife... $34.99 with a claimed MSRP of $149.99. I'm debating getting one. What do you think of this deal? It ends midnight tonight, I think. https://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-crkt-limited-edition-ken-onion-wrinkle-2-knife-21 point

Ok guys need some help here. We are moving, not out of state, only about 2 miles away. I have a trust, and a few NFA items. And 1 SBR waiting to be approved. I have heard that I don't have to file with the ATF that I moved, also i have heard that I do. Anyone who has gone through this will you share with me your experiences? Thanks in advance.1 point

AUS-8 and aluminum scales? $34.99 is an ok price for those materials. Notice that it doesn't say MSRP was $149.99, it says value. MSRP on that knife was very likely under $60. IMO it kinda looks like a melted chocolate bar or a dog turd, but if you like it go for it1 point

Up here, in Claiborne county, there's almost always cheap land. 23ac $20k I was just looking at. If you are willing to look at virginia, the property taxes may be lower, and as it isn't your primary residence, you wouldn't be beholden to the virginia way of taxing everything you make, drive, and smell. Good luck! Ps. There are 3 farms near me that are on the cheaper side for sale, and if you don't want to work a farm, you could lease it out to partially cover the cost. Just a thought.1 point

I'm another that doesn't have that particular model, but I have both the 1-4 illuminated and the 4.5-18 and very pleased with them both from a cost to value perspective. Very hard to go wrong IMO.1 point

So I was checking out Kickstarter a few months ago and ran across this one these knives. Not sure why but I just really like the look of these. I figured they would make good utility knives for the garage and kitchen. I finally got them in the mail yesterday. I got both the 3" and 4". They are very sharp. Now I just have to see how they hold an edge. 1 point

Words can't describe how proud I am of my older brother. I get misty eyed just thinking about it. My brother has been through hell and back while in the Army. Just 48 hours after enlisting in the FL National Guard he was told he would be going on a 9-10 month deployment to Africa. During his 2nd tour in Iraq his Humvee drove over an IED and he was the only one in the vehicle to survive. Despite that, he recently decided to serve our country again my joining the guard. He was supposed to be my best man at my wedding in October but won't be able to join. I'm just proud to call him my brother and I wanted to share. http://www.baynews9.com/content/news/baynews9/news/article.html/content/news/articles/bn9/2015/7/23/soldier_deployment_f.html#.VbF7VPLGlQI.mailto1 point

Listening to Ramsey speak last week to a local SCV meeting, he sounded like someone far too engaged with what he has already "done", and pointedly avoiding any references to what he intended to "do" (unlike Tim Hill, who spoke at the same meeting). That has been a consistent tone from him of late - and that, combined with having his boot shoved clear up to his Adam's apple in his last shot at the Gov's chair, seems to send a clear message that he has no stomach for a repeat performance.1 point

So, this pic (which is awesome, BTW) has me thinking...if someone showed up looking like this, how many guys on guard do you think would open fire without any real provocation?1 point

I had a Scag Tiger Cub 48" that was awesome and for the price I don't think I could have done better. This was my first zero-turn and I used it commercially for 3yrs with an issue. +1 for a Scag.1 point

I feel the same way. The ones standing/sitting outside would be the first ones shot! But in doing so....it would give the recruiters inside extra time to get out the back door or to a safer place if there is one on the inside of the building!1 point

I am 67 years young and I am able to take total care my myself both my finances and every other aspect of my life. I will not allow the Feds to do anything through Social Security to take my firearms. I am writing all of my elected officials and demanding that they stop this maniac President from enforcing these stupid pen pushing bureaucratic policies to be passed. I do have arrangements in place should the day ever come that I feel I can no longer take care of my finances that will allow my family to assist me with them but they will never be made a legal guardian until I am on my death bed and then I won't care............jmho1 point

Are folks ever going to figure out that minimum wage was never intended to be a career? It was intended for high school kids to make gas/beer/date money. Struggling to get by on minimum wage is supposed to motivate people to better themselves. I guess it's easier to whine to the government.1 point

I went to the dark side many years ago G19 & G26. I still love my 1911's and shoot both. It's the best of both worlds. Nice work on the holster. Enjoy :woohoo:1 point

This morning I stood guard at the recruiting center in Paris, TN. Made contact with the leaders of the guard duty, whom are in a group called the Oathkeepers (for which, I am not a member), I told them I'd do the duty Friday morning (today). Duty was simple was sitting out front of the center. The guard leaders requested that long guns not be seen, but whatever I had in my truck was fine. I had my AR-15 with three 30-round magazines available. I do have my permit to carry and carry concealed with my shirt over my Glock 17. As the office opened, I met with the Army recruiters, a SGT and SSG both with combat patches, one with a CIB. The SGT has the CIB but hasn't put it on, he also has a Purple Heart. They expressed their appreciation for me and told me to make myself at home. While at my station, a man in a truck drove up and got out with a bottle of cold water and thanked me for what I was doing. When the recruiters departed, I left since I was not going to be there to guard an empty building, I am there to protect the recruiters. I did not have any negative feedback or comments while I stood guard.1 point

I was up in Galena last October and, despite knowing about this section of law, I came in from the Iowa side with my pistol field stripped and padlocked in one hard side gun case and my mags and ammo padlocked in another hard side pistol case, both stored in a floor compartment in the rear of our Pilot. You guys do what you want, but I don't trust Illinois authorities any further than I can throw Maryland and New Jersey both, so I played it really cautious............. I continued on out of Illinois like this and stopped and put everything back together when I got about three inches into Indiana. I'm going back this October and I intend to do it exactly the same way unless I can determine that Illinois has suddenly developed a heretofore unknown streak of fairness and tolerance towards lawful gun owners.1 point

Personally I would love to see these guys/gals put behind bars. Who are they to be the moral police? The same goes for these guys putting up viruses, anti-virus popup ads, you know the ones that start of "YOU'VE BEEN HACKED!! and install themselves when you press ok. The only way anyone should be getting into anyone's personal information is though a warrant, and for that they better have a better reason than cheating. To me cheating is between the two involved in a relationship, if they feel like doing it so be it. I get so tired of people getting into everyone's personal business, like Miranda and Blake; who cares why it happened, who cares who cheated on who or with who, that's between them not all these busybodies.1 point
