You know what, if someone wants to refuse to cook for me, I am 100 percent OK with it. I don't every want to force someone to cook my food if they don't want to. The number 1 rule is, always be nice to the cook.7 points

Without a religious basis, what's the point? That's not meant in either a facetious or preachy manner. I'm simply curious as to other peoples' thinking. I can look at it from a couple of different viewpoints, but I really find myself coming back to Fyodor Dostoyevsky who may have had a valid point when he said that, "without religion, everything is permitted."4 points

I can't believe this. I'm glad I read this cause I was gonna melt down some rings this weekend and give it a shot. http://www.viralthread.com/l-a-gang-member-dies-after-attempting-to-gold-plate-his-penis/3 points

My religious beliefs or lack thereof are something I think a lot about. I used to be religious I guess, I was raised in a church going family, I was an alter boy as a kid actually lol. To paraphrase Mother Terresa, I haven't felt the touch of god in years. I can pinpoint right down to pretty much the minute that either he left, or I left or whatever. Some people say I'm being carried, but 16 years is a log time to see one set of footprints in the sand. So what keeps me on the straight an narrow? I have to answer to the man who (hypothetically) shaves my face in the morning. He lives in the mirror. Thats it.3 points

I've yet to meet an atheists/agnostic that's more of a nihilist than I. Honestly, I believe every moral person, regardless of whether they are religious or atheist, has the same motivation; self-interest. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk3 points

What is truly sad about all of this is it takes something like this for things to change, if it even does. Had this not happened all those armed guards would be in handcuffs which is awful. Anyone should be able to use whatever tools they feel they need without anyone else telling them they cannot. It is like telling a surgeon he can't use a scalpel even though it is the best tool for the job. I wish they could have been armed with anything and everything they need to be safe here. No service member should die at the hands of the enemy at home especially when misguided policies prevent them from defending themselves.3 points

Thank you for a GREAT MATCH!!! I had a FUN-TASTIC time! It was so awesome shooting with y'all. So much stuff going on, from the "hand shake pew-pew" to the "crouching-screaming pinoy style". Then, there's the "oops, accidental mag release mode" to the "gangster style". And, the "green laser and flashlight combi open gun". Finally, Joe's "fast-feet WTheck (should I go back?) LOL ..... good times :rock:3 points

Words can't describe how proud I am of my older brother. I get misty eyed just thinking about it. My brother has been through hell and back while in the Army. Just 48 hours after enlisting in the FL National Guard he was told he would be going on a 9-10 month deployment to Africa. During his 2nd tour in Iraq his Humvee drove over an IED and he was the only one in the vehicle to survive. Despite that, he recently decided to serve our country again my joining the guard. He was supposed to be my best man at my wedding in October but won't be able to join. I'm just proud to call him my brother and I wanted to share. http://www.baynews9.com/content/news/baynews9/news/article.html/content/news/articles/bn9/2015/7/23/soldier_deployment_f.html#.VbF7VPLGlQI.mailto2 points

Silencershop will begin offering a dealer program on 8/3. You'll be able to buy from a link to their website and the item will be shipped to your dealer of choice (if they participate). They have not shared the price list yet but I am excited to be able to offer the diverse selection more easily than I have in the past. They will have to collect sales tax but I am hopeful with their volume that they may be able to beat the current distributor's pricing. If the margin allows it may be an opportunity to buy from them and pick from their large selection and still save a few bucks in the process. I will share more when I know more just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Thank you!2 points

No worries. Just to make clear, I don't take this personal and hope those who disagree with me don't take it personal. This is just what I believe. I have no doubt most of us who disagree on this could go have beers and probably have a hell of a time. :cheers:2 points

"Since gold plating your testicles is a “medical impossibility” even for the best of doctors, the El Salvadorian gangster’s DIY attempt left him with no chance at all." "Medical impossibility". I don't know why but that phrase is just killing me! Think of all the higher education that went into this article. Some kid went to journalism school only to one day find himself in front of some other guy who spent a DECADE in school, and the course of their interaction is going to be based on the 'medical impossibility' of gold plating ones nads.  :rofl:2 points

OK, believe it or not I am coming. I had not per-warned Nashville that I am coming next week, as they cancelled the last trip. (they claimed it was the snow). So all the suggestions on things to things do I got a few months back, I am going to try to get as many of them in next week starting with the meet up. I am going to be getting to the Sheraton Music City just a few blocks away earlier in the day.2 points

At the end of the day, what another adult decides to do in their life is no business of mine unless it directly affects me or my pocketbook. If someone wants to cheat on their wife, that is on them. I don't want them telling me how to live my life and I don't need to judge them on living theirs. I think everyone needs to worry less about what other people are doing in their personal lives and worry about themselves. I guess that is asking for too much these days.2 points

Hillary ain't gonna put him in her cabinet. :) Even if GOP wins, I can't see him leaving the governorship early to accept a cabinet post -- too much Palin-esque bad juju for the future to do that. Seems the likely given is that he'll replace Lamar in the Senate in 2020, and parlay that into any possible presidential bid. - OS2 points

I've been throwing the term around this forum for years now and this only reiterates what I've been saying. Natural Selection WORKS people. It works beautifully, all we need do is step on out the way and let it do its job.2 points

I have an LCP. I've shot it a lot, and carried it a lot. I can say it will dispatch opossums with impunity. I can keep all round inside a paper plate at 15 yards. It's easy to disassemble, clean, and reassemble. It carries well in a pocket. It's also been 100% reliable. No safeties, switches, buttons, levers, etc. to fuss over. Just point and click. For a pocket pistol, I find it nearly perfect.1 point

Easy there, not all Muslims are "sand people" and not all "sand people" are Muslims. Plenty of middle eastern people who are Christians. Just don't want us to turn allies into enemies.1 point

We are going to move forward on two fronts this year (2016 Session). One a re-written Constitutional Carry Bill, broad enough to encompass signs, parks and most of the issues that have plagued the lawful gun owners since 1870. What are the chances Haslam and Co. will let it pass? Pretty slim actually, he is no friend of the general population having firearms at all, though his desire to higher office MAY keep him less vitriolic in public on the issue this year. Second, a simple repeal of 39-17-1307 ala Mike Bell's knife bill. It will require a couple of years of moving permit only defenses off the books as statutes, but I think the aura this year may be sufficiently supportive to get this passed. Beth Harwell is running for governor, as is Diane Black, Mark Green, Mark Norris and some others, it appears the primary for governor may well resemble the presidential scrum. Harwell will take a hard "right" and has started already with opposing the governor on his "gas" tax. As soon as we get the verbiage of the new bills out, those who wish to be involved are more than welcome, and if anyone has a line on Jim Coley, we would greatly appreciate it being deployed, as Civil Justice sub has been the killer on most bills recently, then that fraud Harrison in Finance sub will be the next hurdle. Anything out of committee in the House will pass the Senate.1 point

You're letting that liberal crap show through again BTQ96R This is a free market capitalist society. It ain't for YOU to decide who i can and cannot sell to anymore than it's up to me to decide who you can and cannot buy from. Telling anyone anything otherwise is pure liberal communist BS. If you don't like it, spend your money elsewhere. The unwritten laws that let capitalism work so well will take care of everything. Run off enough people, you go broke, out of business, the end. It's only a supporter of big government that would support the idea that ANYONE has the right to tell a business owner how to run his business....so long as he pays his taxes, buys his license and ain't peddling illegal goods.1 point
