2. I might also get a second opinion too. The best ortho doctor/surgeon I've delt with is Dr. Burton Elrod. He was at Elite Sports Medicine last I saw him. He is also the doctor for the Titans. I've had a couple surgeries and came back really well. Went one time to one of the top guys at Vandy ortho because I worked for them. He gave me the bleakest outlook possible and basically told me my elbow was toast. Went back to Elrod he just went in and cleaned it out no problem.

 3. After moving to East Tennessee from California nineteen years ago, I realized that I had finally made the grade when my wife and I were driving home from a Saturday morning shopping trip this morning. Our shopping trip took us to a gas station, a gun shop, and a grocery store. As we drove along on the way home she suddenly snickered and said:   "You realize you're finally a real Tennessean, don't you?"   I asked: "Howzat?"   She replied: "All you bought this morning was gas, guns, groceries and beer."   :usa:  :usa:  :usa:  :usa:  :usa:   The devil made me post this.

 4. Advice? Stay away from metro public schools. If you can afford it go Private or stay in surrounding counties outside of Davidson.   One thing about TN weather, hang around long enough and it will change. As far as the humidity, spend summers in south Alabama and TN will feel great.  :-\          .

 7. So I'm going through the moving checklist that was given to us by our mortgage lender and one of the items says to drain all outdoor equipment including propane tank from BBQ grill.   Obviously I understand it's flammable but is this really necessary? It will be going in the back of the rental truck and I'll secure it so that it won't roll around.     We're thrilled to be moving back to TN in just 8 days!

 8. Lt. Colonel Allen West posted these comments on his timeline on Facebook 9 hours ago.   "Yippee, the Confederate battle flag has now been removed from the grounds of the South Carolina State Capitol. And, just like that, it solves the problem of black-on-black crime and killings. Now we’ll see the out-of-wedlock   birthrate in the black community drop from 75%. There will be better educational opportunities and schools in South Carolina’s black communities and all across America. The black unemployment rate will drop —especially the   almost 40% black teenage unemployment rate. We’ll now see an economic entrepreneurial boon in the inner cities because the Confederate battle flag’s been lowered. And there’ll be no more gangs of blacks beating on   whites — as we saw in Ohio recently. Yep, the liberal progressive media shouted "squirrel" and an entire nation went a running. All the yelling and shouting by the crowds was evidence of those who lack grace, respect and   dignity. Former South Carolina Gamecocks football coach Lou Holtz remarked that when you get to the end zone, you should act like you’ve been there before. So what does the lowering of the Confederate battle flag have to   do with the killing of little seven-year-old Amari Brown in Chicago — anyone know when his funeral is?"   For those who aren't familiar with Colonel West, he is a black retired Army officer and former member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

 9. A friend of mine worked this little wildcat up. I got mine built and finally got to shoot it this morning. Basically, it's an easier to deal with, 32/20. Using a 7,62x25 Tokarev sizer, push a .38 special case through in one shot. You end up with a .30 Tokarev shoulder with a longer neck. Water measurements are about .1g with the 32/20 case so data is interchangeable. The distinct advantage is .38 special brass is EVERYWHERE. My rifle is built on an SB-2 rifle action [H&R hand] so short of loading a case full of bullseye, it'll hold whatever I want to try as long as I use a little common sense. The barrel was made by stubbing a .30 cal barrel into a 12g shotgun barrel and machining the extractor to match. The barrel is completely free float. The forearm is attached to the 12g stub and the barrel itself screws into threads chased in the 12g chamber. The cartridge VERY easy to make. MUCH easier than making 300 BLK cases. I've loaded about 7 different loads so far ranging from 98g cast to 180g cast & 150g jacketed, using AA#5, AA#7, Trailboss, HS-7, AANitro100NF & for the 150g jacketed load I used a compressed load of AA2015 which shot VERY well. Even made me some "Factory" boxes!! Dave Manson at manson's reamers has the print on file if anyone wants to build one. A quick call to Manson will get you a reamer. As far as accuracy goes, I didn't try too hard, I just wanted to enjoy my range time today. It'll put the 150g jacketed (5 rounds) into a 1.3 inch circle with ease. I could do better with a different scope. I'm using an El Paso steel body Weaver K4 with a post reticle. A 125g flat point plain base cast bullet over 7.0g of Accurate #7 will clover leaf at 25 yards, Next time, I will scoot out further.

 10. I had the all-steel compact 9mm for just a few days until I let the wife shoot it. Guess who owns it now. It's accurate as all get out and that low bore axis makes recoil next to nothing.

 11. Nice work. It doesn't look like the blued steel slide matted hard chrome frame two tones that were so popular in the past though. I'm not sure if its the lighting or surface finish of the cerakote though. I suspect if the grips were refinished of replaced that's bring more of the custom finish to attention.

 14. One of the first 40SW I ever owned was a "Baby Eagle" which is essentially the same gun.  Great weapon.  It was hard as heck to find holsters for it back in the mid 90's though.

 15.   I posted the AAR on getoffthex.com in the course reviews.   I wanted to take a class at both before deciding so I'll be taking the pistol course at Valor Ridge next month so we'll see.     At first I wasn't sure what I would think about Tactical Response but it was a really good experience.  Tim Morris can be a crusty Army NCO but he turned out to be a really good guy and instructor.  I learned a lot and really pushed myself and my gear so now I am confident in both like never before.   I'll probably end up taking classes at both schools in the future, it'll be good to get different perspectives and VR is a couple hours closer to me.  I am already making plans to go back for Alumni Weekend 2016.     For the Micro Rig.  It was really good to be able to swap cards on my shotgun quickly when I had time and feed from the rig when I couldn't do the swap.  When scanning I would reload from my side saddle then swap out a fresh one to be ready, then finish topping off from the rig.  This way I always had a full card on my shotgun and a full mag between drills.      Port loading from the side saddle is much faster.  The guy with the Cop Rig ended up detaching his cards from the rig so he could slap them on the side of his shotgun as needed.  It's good to have options rather than just having to feed from the vest all the time.     I do wish that I got a color that stood out from the dirt though, it was sometimes difficult to see the coyote colored cards on the ground when picking them up.  Also, mark your cards very visibly since there are a lot of other people with the same cards and it's easy to mix them up.

 17. I'm still old school I guess. If I like something, I usually purchase it on DVD/Blu-ray. I just like the idea of having a "hard copy." I haven't gotten into online/cloud or whatever for buying saving my movies/tv episodes. I know, it makes no difference. The massive EMP attacks will wipe out all the electronic devices and internet anyway.

 18. My neighbor deer hunts with one like it. I've shot it before. It's a fine rifle. Ammo's getting a bit tough to find, but I love the older Marlins. At one time, they were the best deal going on the used market. Today, it seems people have learned this, and they command a pretty good price. A quality rifle indeed.

 21.   Yep, that's one of your problems, either replace it with a good quality leather or kydex holster. Make sure either one has a stabilizing lower portion to keep it centered.

 22. I'd get the shoulder repair surgery and downsize the rifle calibers to 22 center fires and a .243 for rifles. As to the handguns the simplest solutions are reduced power hand loads or learning to shoot with your weak hand. I'd also do a lot of my pistol shooting from a fixed rest to reduce fatigue.

 24. I'd contact Ruger first to see if they'd put a replacement spring in your LC9s frame mounted safety but also be looking for a better pocket holster. The LC9s Pro  longer has the frame mounted safety. What your dealing with isn't an uncommon problem but the solutions require some study. A stronger safety spring equals a potentially difficult to release safety. The wrong holster either rolls and moves too much or is bulky, what are you using now?

 25. Patriot Safe has closed it doors  ! ! !    Patriot Safes has closed its website and changed its name to Warrior Safe.  BEWARE ! ! !  look at the links below for more information.     http://www.yelp.com/biz/patriot-gun-safe-company-garden-grove   http://www.bbb.org/sdoc/business-reviews/safes-and-vaults/patriotsafe-com-in-huntington-beach-ca-100019300     I have had a few customers call me about this company and say that their safes were not delivered and ask me what to do.  After a little digging I have found out that Patriot has closed its operations and stuck a lot of customers with no safes and no refunds.      As I had said for years this company was a total scam and put out false information about its safes and company.  This is proof of the track record of this company , beware  !  they will be back , just in another name and a new website and new lies ! ! !   This is the risk you take ordering a safe from an "internet only" safe company.    If you are in the Tennessee area and ever have issues with a Patriot safe let me know and I will do what I can to assist you.     Mark The Safe House

 31. Have any of you guys looked into using okra to help control your diabetes?  I don't have diabetes but I was talking to a guy at work that does.  (Just meds, no insulin injections.)     He heard about drinking water that had okra soaking in it overnight.    He talked to his doctor and while he didn't think it would help, he said it wouldn't hurt either.   The doctor made him a bet.   If his levels improved significantly when checked during his office visits he would buy him a years worth of okra.       In summary, my co-worker's levels improved so much that he was able to come off one of his meds entirely and was able to cut back on the other med.   (This was over the course of several months.)  The doctor mailed him a check to make good on his bet.     Below is one link.  Do your own research, YMMV.   http://www.snopes.com/medical/homecure/okra.asp

 33.   Yeah, there's a lot to know about low carbing that isn't immediately apparent.   Like that milk is high carb (whole, 2%, 1%, and skim all have about same carbs), yet heavy cream (whipping cream) is low. Whip it with Splenda or whatever instead of sugar if you want it sweet. Also sour cream is pretty low.   - OS

 34. Truthfully I'm enjoying my little 18-foot pontoon more than I ever enjoyed motorcycles and I've owned bikes for better than 33 years and worked on ships for just as long so you would think I've have enough of boats.... Pontoons have open decks, lots of seating and cupholders.... Did I mention cupholders glorious cupholders a grand total of 11 of them all just right for holding the libations of your choice.... And with at least 16 marinas that sell beer and food all within a hour of each other I'm thinking that I've all but died and gone to heaven since moving to Norris Lake and keeping a boat in the water a mear mile from the house; pack a cooler and jump in the electric cart down to the boat....   Did I mention I've got an 2001 KAWASAKI ZG1000 CONCOURS highly modded and in super nice shape for sale?

You should not eat spaghettis  .. to many carbs=sugar spike:) No CAKE.. :) I should also mention..I would not have been able to do this without my husband at all..he cooks , he measures and he is THE best all around Nurse :)
