After moving to East Tennessee from California nineteen years ago, I realized that I had finally made the grade when my wife and I were driving home from a Saturday morning shopping trip this morning. Our shopping trip took us to a gas station, a gun shop, and a grocery store. We’ll now see an economic entrepreneurial boon in the inner cities because the Confederate battle flag’s been lowered. And there’ll be no more gangs of blacks beating on   whites — as we saw in Ohio recently. Yep, the liberal progressive media shouted "squirrel" and an entire nation went a running. All the yelling and shouting by the crowds was evidence of those who lack grace, respect and   dignity. Former South Carolina Gamecocks football coach Lou Holtz remarked that when you get to the end zone, you should act like you’ve been there before. So what does the lowering of the Confederate battle flag have to   do with the killing of little seven-year-old Amari Brown in Chicago — anyone know when his funeral is?"   For those who aren't familiar with Colonel West, he is a black retired Army officer and former member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

I find it very hard to believe that anyone could in any way Compare Lt. Colonel Allen West as a News guru and to even put his name and Al Sharpton in the same sentence is disgraceful at best. The Colonel serve our country with Pride and Dignity for many years. Al Sharpton has not served anything but racial unrest and is a racist bigot..................  JMHO

Put it back together and shoot it.   You can spend from several hundred dollars up to Turnbull's quote on refinishing it, and when you get it back, it ain't gonna be worth a nickel more than it is right now.   If you aren't happy with it as is, you'd be money ahead to sell it and buy an original specimen.

My entire take on LTC West's speeches, public presentations and FB commenting is he's trying to represent himself as a positive role model by means of media attention. He's intelligent and highly motivated and a potential threat to the extreme leftist government and SJW elitist academic leaders and media. However with all of that he's entirely mortal with all of the faults and flaws of the rest of us and very much in a fish bowl. I don't place him in the same category of race baiters such as Jackson or Sharpton but for all of his positive attributes there are the parallels of use of notoriety for objective gain. Links2k exposes a jaded and suspicious view point that might rankle but that's alright in my opinion because I'm of a suspicious nature. Personally I have a high regard for LTC West's service, ability to debate and his articulation.    

West just gives it back to them with no regrets. I don't see him as an opportunist. He's calls them out because he can and knows very few white leaders will do so. I'd like to see him in the WH.

wife isn't considered diabetic anymore after going to a low carb diet and losing weight.   Its not a full cure, but it gives real results for many people.   

My take on it was that he was saying that while removing the flag might have made some folks feel better, it really accomplished nothing substantive for black Americans. - that at the end of the day, all of the problems they had when the flag was up they still had when the flag was down.     Agree about corporate pressure bringing the flag down. I think State government saw big corporate bucks going out the window if the flag stayed up.  

I got a transfer/promotion to move back to Knoxville with my company. We could not be happier. It's been a long 4 years. We've had some fun down here but I'm ready to be back at home.

  Sorry for the hijack, but West's reputation that took him to Congress and made him a conservative talking head is based on his military service to a large extent.  Even on his own webpage, he has "Steadfast and Loyal," the 4th Infantry Division motto, as his own.  So, I think what he did in that service is relevant.   He's also off topic as far as the flag goes.  Removing it won't solve any of the problems in the black community, but that's not the point.  The point is that government use of racist, and rebellious symbology is wrong and shouldn't be.

  I just read the article you linked. It sounds to me like West has some massive balls and did what was necessary to get information from a terrorist. Undoubtedly, he saved lives by doing what he did.    If you're expecting us to be outraged by his actions you might be disappointed. 

  Exactly, they might be better for regular people but some whole grain pasta is actually worse for you than regular pasta but either way pasta is not good for you. The whole grain just does not spike and drop as quickly as refined but it still raises it. Also, follow the serving size if you MUST eat it. Takes the fun out of it eating serving sizes but it is what one MUST do to get, and keep, their sugar under control.   Even if you eat 4-5 servings 3-4 times a day it is a whole lot better than eating one or two big, carb laden meals a day.   One of the biggest eye openers for me was when I actually measured a serving size of salad dressing. I bet I would put 3-4 servings on a typical salad before.

I just installed the Lighning Bow trigger in my Tavor, man do I love this friggin rifle!   it now has a better trigger than any AR I have ever shot, so now with the Trigger pack and the trigger installed I have $450.00 invested. Was it worth it? Hell yes it was I would have paid much more to make the Tavor trigger this good

On a small single car garage I think it would be simple to fashion a wall from a sheet of osb and sit the garage door on top of it with the ac unit slid into the OSB. It'd be a bit bulky to store, but would be inexpensive and simple to build.

I love listening to this guy who has several different characters and voices he does. He prank calls real businesses and people and records them. It's very funny. One of my favorite characters is Buk Lau who is an Asian guy. My window AC unit came with a sheet showing the size opening and how to build a support for an installation where there wasn’t a window. I will assume you don’t have a window, so that’s about your only option.

Window Units were meant to be hung out the window... Barring that break out a saw and hammer and frame out a hole in the wall that you can slide it through....

I am on 850mg of Metformin 2x a day.. I love it , it doesnt have side effects and its been around for ages .I heard bad things about  Victoza and I will not take it. I lost 50lbs in 6 month and  cut my A1C down to half with eating less that 50mgs of carbs a day.. You should not eat spaghettis  .. to many carbs=sugar spike:) No CAKE.. :) I should also mention..I would not have been able to do this without my husband at all..he cooks , he measures and he is THE best all around Nurse :)

Just arrived. I was going to buy a SCAR but I just can't part with THAT much cash. Can't do it. Still spent more than I wanted, but this is pretty sweet. Fits me like a glove after some stock adjustments. Came with (6) stick shims, (3) butt pads and the cheek piece is adjustable for comb as well as cast on/off. Mounted a Nikon P308 scope. Probably deserves a little better glass but......... Gotta level the scope and bore sight it tomorrow as well as tear it down and clean out the factory goop. Not looking forward to that. This rifle is fairly complicated after fooling with AR's for so long. Thank God for youtube. Anyway, here she is. Yep...it sure is blue.

The attributed AW comments in line with his other speeches and presentations as well as being profoundly sarcastic. No, S.C.'s decision to take down the "Rebel Flag" isn't going to solve any of the black communities problems. It was also w/o doubt an act driven more by cooperate motivations than respect for racial feelings. I suspect LTC West's sole point on the flags coming down is that's the only thing that happened. All the other ballyhoo about improved race relations and such is wishful thinking because that serves no political agenda.

  Same person told me the same thing. And because Romney didn't win the last four years are probably our fault. It wouldn't have mattered who won we would still be where we are today with the races at odds with each other, the economy still in the dumps and several wars going on. For the record, I really dislike politicians and cable news personalities because they pit hard working Americans against one another. I've read your post for years, and you are no dummy. I'm certain that you can see that if these clowns couldn't play conservative against liberal and black against white, there would be no need for them. The people must always be angry or afraid for cable news and nuts like a West and Sharpton to remain relevant. Who or what says that I must like a certain politician or cable celebrity? If you've followed my post as you claim that you have, you will see mentioned somewhere that over the last couple of election cycles I mentioned that I've favored Ron and Rand Paul. I can even recall a former member complaining that I was wasting my vote by not voting for Romney.

Received mine today.  Immaculate!  Fit and finish is superb.  No problems with the ambidextrous safety.  The seller included an extra recoil spring and a few mags as well.   It reportedly has had a hundred or so rounds through it.  You can't tell it ever had one.  :)   I hope to shoot it tomorrow and will take some photos later this weekend.  I'm thoroughly impressed with it.

My brother in law bought one of these. I went to the range with him and together we shot 250 rounds of UMC Ball ammo. No malfunctions of any k=ind, quite an accurate pistol as well he conceal carries it with no problems,I was surprised at just how much I liked the pistol

If you are going to be shooting primarily 55gr and 62gr I'd go with a 1 in 9" if you plan on primarily shooting heavier/longer bullets 77gr, tracers, or lead free(long) the 1 in 7" would probably serve you better. Yep, them's be the peeps that make 'em. Subpar sruff for the money, imho. The $10 knives are fine for $10 knives, but the $40 knives just feel like more tacticool... $10 knives. :/

Hah. Apparently that was a few 'generations' ago....

I carry a j-frame because I can get a full firing grip on it while it's in my pocket and don't have to change that grip at all as I draw. Try as I might with my build (6'0" and 150lbs if I've had a good breakfast) and a pair of 501s, I've yet to replicate that with an auto without some compromise. The smallest ones like the LCP are actually the worst for me in that regard. Now, if I'm carrying on my belt - I'm choosing something larger. And by the time a pistol makes it to my hip, I've not got any question about whether or not it's going to work if needed. But, if I'm going to pocket carry - and I do a lot - I'll choose my well worn M&P 340CT every time.
