In honor of this thread I will fly a CSA flag tomorrow and post a pic here. If people spent half as much time worrying about important shit the world would be a better place.9 points

They are going to keep the Jefferson Memorial and the name, they are just going to change the statue to a painting. They say it's all about moving on up. They will put a smaller painting of Weezy beside it.7 points

If you don't like the way it feels or fits, why not just buy a gun you DO like the fit and feel of? There are lots of choices. I don't understand all this melting/whittling/grinding/etc. crap. Just buy a gun that fits YOU, instead of bastardizing one. :screwy:3 points

Standing on the side of the road out of traffic, flying a flag that is disappearing from stores under pressure and being removed from availability on license plates and dropped from battlefields isn't acting an ass. Acting an ass was in Ferguson and Baltimore with smaller reenactments daily in most big cities. A week ago these flags were spotted here and there and nobody noticed them, but now it's being attacked as if it was one of the bullets in the church. Not only are people attacking it, govt and businesses are acting against it so fast it's head spinning. With the lack of confederate flags in Chicago and its peaceful utopia , it's obvious that hiding it and removing it will make the country better :down:3 points

Saw this posted on Facebook earlier this evening: Everything Weapons has entered into a deal to buy The Outpost Armory and merge retail operations. That's huge! Please join me in wishing them both the best of success. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Still a great piece of work. The "Ride" was totally great! Moving and thought provoking. I'd say you have a gift for video creativity.2 points

It would be much worse. Think of the casualties from a full scale conflict using muskets and cannon. Imagine that same amount of force going after each other with M1A1 Abrahams, Cobra and Apache Attack helicopters, belt fed medium and heavy weapons and M4's. A force on force battle between to similarly equipped military units would result in horrendous casualties in minutes. Sent from the backwoods2 points

I ordered one off Gun Broker and it should be be here by the end of the week. I will be out of town this week end, but I will be happy to give a report when I get back. I know most people are smith fans, but I am a big Redhawk, GP and most Ruger single actions fan. http://www.gunblast.com/Ruger-RH45ACP.htm2 points

The most interesting gun shop to "look around in" is Franklin Gun Shop. Amazing selection of almost everything to hold and sample. Now if you want to purchase something at a competitive price Franklin Gun Shop is not likely to be your place. On the south side of Nashville The Armory near 100 Oaks and Everything Weapons in Cool Springs/Franklin will have much better prices on common items. On the north side Guns and Leather. On the west side toward Bellevue Nashville Gun and Knife.2 points

There will always be racial tensions, and there will always be small and insignificant groups like the New Black Panthers running their mouths. But in the end it would be suicide based upon numbers alone. So, I don't foresee the highly anticipated race war that Obama has never mentioned, but whites are always talking about. Some people must go to bed disappointed every night.2 points

The gun industry attracts conspiracy theorists. Every industry has their kooks, or their "ultra left wing" "ultra right wing" type people the majority wishes would shut up i would wager. The Alex jones types seem to be ours. Edit: Oh, and the fanatical open carry crowd.2 points

A lot of things have changed. The South is now heavily industrialized and Northern industry is "rust belted" in a lot of cases. Southern Confederate Flag against the Rainbow Gay Pride flag? Not much of a contest, unless it's restricted to bitch slapping.1 point

I like guns and leather and nashville armory the best in the area so far. NA is significantly closer so they see me more often, but I've never been treated any less than family at G&L.1 point

First Amendment. Flying the Confederate Battle Flag might be considered insensitive, but it isn't against the law. Not much chance of it ever being against the law. I'd like one or two of the Confederate Historians to research the Civil War Paroles and Amnesties. I bet it's not against the law to fly the Confederate Battle Flag, and everyone was amnestied out a long time ago. There were more than 1.5 Million casualties the last time the Confederate Battle Flag was fought over, and I don't think we want to try that over again.1 point

Congrats. You won't regret it. We have some forest property, and I recently bought a G20 and G29 to carry while I'm wandering around out there. I haven't even shot the G20 yet, because I sent the slide off for an RMR cut, but I shot the G29 enough to make sure it was working reliable. I was pleasantly surprised by how mild the recoil was, even with full power Underwood 200 and 220 grain. 11 rounds of that should handle anything around here. Cheers, Rusty1 point

back when I was in Grade school in the 5th grade I had a man teacher named Donald Bruce and I will never forget him. On our first day of school he said before I am done teaching you students there are three things you will know and know well. They are Reading, Writing and Arthematic. He made sure of that and when the class moved to the 6th grade he moved with us and we had him for a second year. Our reading consisted of reading our U.S. History and our writing came from the World History books as we would be required to write out of them for 30 minutes and then read to the class what were wrote. Our Math got 1 hours of each day dedicated to it. I am still complimented to this day about how nice my hand writing is for a man. His goal was to make sure that when we went out into the world we would know the 3 main things that a person will use every day of their. Reading, Writing and Math. I'm 67 years old and I use all 3 of those teachings every day. Those are the dedicated teachers we need teaching our children today..................... :up:1 point

Smart move by Barrett. The gun store was really just a notion at first, taking space in a convenience store they owned, and repurposing it for gun sales. At first they still had both operations running plus the restaurant! It grew quickly and they ditched the gas and c-store and restaurant quickly to create more room the gun shop. It was a brilliant example of the power of capitalism - taking an asset and raising it to a higher value. Now they recognize that it can be more but is taking their time away from their core business, so its sold - and both parties will benefit And no one from the government was needed to create this wealth God Bless America1 point

I always "over carry" for the woods in east TN. Either a Ruger SBH in .44mag, or a RH in the same. I had a gen 3 20, and sold it because I wanted a 29 instead. I never felt underpowered with the 20, and neither will you with the 29. The great thing about the 29 is it's an excellent hybrid. It has enough firepower and capacity for not only critter engagement of the four legged variety, but also two legged as well. Salmon fishing in Alaska may be another story, but hiking in TN you'll definitely have more than enough firepower.1 point

10 mm is one my favorite rounds especially if you reload. You can go from mild to wild! My carry e,very day is a Glorp 29. I reload right up there with Underwoods full boat loads!! Flamethrower it is!! That's a good deal that you have an opportunity to get ! I have 2 model 20s and a 29 and they are great guns. If you are gonna shoot full boat loads, I use a 20 lb recoil spring so I don't beat the gun up! 10mm forums are some great info also!! Enjoy it and it's a great Hog round!!1 point

It won't but there could be incidents. 15 or so years ago some redneck boy up in Kentucky got shot dead by a black for flying that flag on the back of his truck. The "oppressed" are far more bold now.1 point

it's an issue because the professionals always seem to need to blame some thing and not some one.1 point

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there more "unrest" during the 60's? Why wasn't the Confederate flag banned then? The Confederate flag has been around 150+ years and now it's an issue?? :squint:1 point

what kills me is how these idiots always need to blame some 'thing' and not the crazy lunatic thug that committed the crime. On one hand I'm thankful they're not going after the guns blindly again (because he wasn't using one of those evil black rifles of mass destruction), but on the other hand, WTF does that flag have to do with anything? Because the thug had one? He also had an American flag, and obviously had a digital camera, why not ban cameras so no one can take photographs of things that offend people. good grief.1 point
-
That's like choosing the person who will kill you for sure instead of the person who might kill you... just so you can be assured of the outcome.1 point

I don't want what I'm about to post to misunderstood. I DO NOT want to see any more insane mass killings. NO! ...but, the fact is, it's inevitable. ...and again, don't misunderstand but I would really like to see the next nut that goes crazy, use a sword or hammer or something else. It would be horrible and I would genuinely feel bad if it happens after me saying it but it might be what it takes to make people understand, its not the tool used to do the job....it's the whacko using to tool. If some fool went crazy with a ball bat full of nails and couldn't be stopped until the cops arrive, will the want to ban ball bats? Mental illness needs the real discussion.1 point

Incrementalism works. Over the last few years we've made great strides in getting our weapons laws headed in the right direction. If we keep going, constitutional carry might very well happen. TICS exemption for HCP holders should be, IMHO, next on the list for next year.1 point
