1. I think they just put a target on all of their drivers.

 2. So they think they can prevent their drivers from carrying a gun in their personally owned vehicles?    That's cute.

 3. So now if I'm a carjacker, I can use a throwaway phone on starbucks's wifi and order an unarmed car to jack and they will come to me?   Genius!

 4.   Uber-idiocy.   Maybe i'm getting mean and spitefull in my old age but i'm getting really really sick and tired of all these pretentious, sanctimonious, self-rightous, narcissistic, socialist, freedom hating, Constitution destroying, progressive liberal commies, (did I leave anything out?), trying to force their idiotic, illogical, fantacy utopian philosophy down our throats every minute of every day but I would love to see this Uber company go bankrupt some day. I will laugh that day, they deserve it.

 8. A guy goes to the supermarket and notices a very attractive woman waving at him.             She says, 'Hello.'             He's rather taken aback because he can't place where he knows her from. So he asks, 'Do you know me?'             To which she replies, 'I think you're the father of one of my kids.'             Now his mind travels back to the only time he has ever been unfaithful to his wife.             So he asks, 'Are you the stripper from the bachelor party that I made love to on the pool table, with all my buddies watching, while your partner whipped my butt with wet celery?'             She looks into his eyes and says calmly, 'No, I'm your son's teacher.'

 10. Since there are some law enforcement folks here and others with great opinions, I have a question about should I have or should I have let it go type question.   Yesterday afternoon while traveling on the interstate humming alone at around 70 mph on a 3 lane portion, traffic is heavy, the vehicle in front of me suddenly without warning made evasive lane changes due to large bundles of rolled insulation that had just fallen off a truck in front of her.  The evasive lane change was too much and she lost control, swerved far right, far left, and then over corrected and went head on into the guardrail on the right.  I ended up hitting the bundle of insulation on the interstate, no damage, but the other car that wrecked had a mother and two daughters (maybe 11 yrs and maybe 6 yrs old, not sure).  As it turns out, they were okay, maybe shaken up pretty good.  The car was destroyed, heavy front end damage.  The impact caused the car to come to a rest in the middle lane.  The truck that dropped the insulation never stopped.   Here is the question, I witnessed in the rear view mirror as I was coming to stop to aide and assist, the 11 yr old girl suddenly dart from the car and run to the guardrail upon immediate coming to a stop of the wrecked car, I thought I saw her throw something over the guard rail.  I am not sure the car had even come to a complete stop either.  Was this worth mentioning to the arriving officer and does it matter?   As we waited on the officer, I checked on my family who was in our car just 50 feet or more from the wreck.  My wife asked me did that girl throw something, she had seen it too.  I went back to look, but did not see anything other than common trash along the area where I thought I saw her throw something.  When the officer arrived, which seemed like only a just a few minutes, he of course asked if they were hurt, and then he came to me see what I had seen.  As I explained how the wreck occurred, he took my name and number, and he said that I was free to go, but I did mention to him seperately after he said that I was free to go what I witnessed about the girl darting from the car.  He said, it was weird wasn't it.  I say yea it was weird, and told me again I was free to go.  Not sure if that mattered to the officer, the incident, or that was enough info for him to act.  I will probably never know what happened, doesn't matter, but why did the girl dart.

 13. I'm not a LEO, but you did tell the officer about what you saw and to me your responsibility ends there. Based on your description of the wreck, I'm guessing it wasn't a contributing factor in the wreck.

 14. Finally had the chance to watch it...meh.  I didn't feel it was a waste of time, but I thought it was only an okay as a movie.   The performances from Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller (a very underrated actress) were top notch.  The strain on their relationship caused by deployments and not enough time between them was well acted, though I think could have been given more time as it is a big theme as you read the book, especially the parts by Taya written from her view.   The action scenes were about what I expected, complete with the Hollywood embellishments: the huge flame with each shot from a suppressed M4, creating Mustafa as his nemesis through out the movie, the final battle in Sadr City ending in a sandstorm haze...all made the movie a letdown after reading the book.

 18. Wife had hers out at the end of 2011. She stayed over night then the next night went back in because she couldn't keep food down. Turns out they gave her way to much anstesia and it made her sick. We were at the naval hospital on Camp Pendleton. They kept checking her incision sites for infection, and finally she asked for food. They refused to feed her for almost 3 days, told her she couldn't a shower, and then when she started crying they tried to force some nerve pills down her throat. I damn near went to the brig that day. The doctor told me he could have me removed and make her take the xanax, I told him, an O4 officer in the Navy, that I'd beat him to death if he tried to force her to take anything. We had already had a confrontation the first night as they tried to make me leave and I told them to shove it. Needless to say I ended up standing tall in front of my CO over my wife's gallbladder lol. He asked if I was serious when I threatened a senior officer, and I looked him in the eye and told him I'd kill any man who hurt my wife or forced her to do something against her will. He said I was a good husband and that was the end of it. Sent from the backwoods

 20. Lighten up on the guy. He hasn't been around long enough to know that this group protects its own like no other group on the Internet. Ask me how I know. :) I believe that I'm the longest tenured liberal communist on the site. Mikegideon, 6.8AR (miss him, smart guy) and a few others would routinely take me to the octagon whenever they felt that I had gotten the wrong impression about a member or took their comments out of context. I've since learned that mikegideon can find humor in almost any situation, but he will always give reliable advice when it comes to guns. I think he once told me something to the effect of "I look after my friends". That statement changed my entire opinion of the forum and how I interacted with other members. In time the op will have met a few members, shot a few thousand rounds, conducted a few transactions, had a beer/coffee while chatting and getting to know that TGO is a band of brothers who scrap a little amongst ourselves, but will destroy anyone from the outside who threatens a brother or the integrity of this forum. I hope that he sticks around because a few more spices will enhance the flavor of the stew. If we all always agreed on everything we would have nothing more than a big circle jerk, and we are better than that.

 21. This word has been seen across the web in many places, but I actually procured a piece that was actually a part of a SR 71 Blackbird.. The plane was taken out of service and destroyed. A retired af guy that served on a sr71 support element was able to procure some Unobtainium and machine up some cool stuff out of it. When I was stationed in Okinawa Japan I used to stop, wait, and watch the blackbirds take off and land as it was just fun and intriguing to watch. Now I own a piece of an actual flown sr71. The skunk logo is the old mascot of Lockheed Martin skunkworks group, the team that developed and produced the SR 71. So below is my real Unobtainium

 22. I saw an article this morning on The Firearm Blog about a device called a Grip-Key for holding your keys. It's kind of cool, especially since it has a belt clip and you can customize the kydex colors and add logos. However, they are not cheap ($25-35). It reminded me of some similar devices for sale a few years ago, but not made out of kydex, Since I'm a cheapskate and like tinkering anyway, I made my own. This article got me thinking, I've been carrying these for around a year or 2 like this and don't recall having posted about it yet. Here's some pics: The green one is made from a torx bit set I picked up at Harbor Freight for around $5. I just took the screws out, removed the torx bits, retained the plastic spacers to put between the keys, and stacked them on each end in the order I wanted. The black one is made from some scrap kydex I had leftover from a holster. I just molded it around the fob of my truck key, cut out a hole to push it open, added some chicago screws of varying length to hold keys to my toolbox and a small storage box and drilled a hole for a keyring. Neither is much help for reducing bulk in your pocket but I never put my keys in my pockets anyway, but I like the way it keeps them from jingling.

 26. I was Naval Aviation, stuck in helo's for 20 years, so I never got to maintain "cool" aircraft. Back in the late 80's we would fly out Sikorsky in CT to ferry rebuilt H-3's back to San Diego. We would airport hop our way home, and on occasion we would stop over at an Air Force base. We hit Wichita a few times and they would park us right in front of the 'ready" B1B's. Absolutely a beautiful aircraft. We were given a guided tour of the interior and exterior of the aircraft. I will have to try to dig out a few photos.

In all honesty I don't see very many churches purchasing million dollar metal detectors to place and all their entrances to keep bad guys from entering so a Sheep Dog probably won't have any issues while going armed in Church and with churches now becoming targets I think more and more Churches are going to look the other way for their flock being armed to protect those who are not...........jmho

Or Toss the bone in quarters along with 2 sticks if diced celery, 1 small chopped onion & a tater chopped into inch cubes in a crockpot with a can each of cream of celery, onion & a can of water (or white wine) salt & pepper to taste. 6 hours on high.

 34.       This was my point above. You can't leave the gun somewhere by accident if you don't take it out in the first place. Having to remove the gun when you chop some butt wood makes forgetting it somewhere possible in the first place that wouldn't be if it stayed in its holster. I don't think folks give enough thought about what to do with their gun when they squeeze out a Lincoln when choosing their method of carry. The time to ask yourself what you will do with your gun when making a grunt sculpture is before you pick out your holster. I know I would find it difficult to pump a clump of dump out of my rump if I was worried about my gun while I was helping the groundhog find his shadow.     :poop:

 35. Who says it up to you, (or xjsnake, or anyone else for that matter), to excuse anything someone else does that you are not involved in? Self-righteous much?   I forgot my gun in the bathroom once when I was new to carrying. I was traveling up to Indiana when I experienced an emergency call of nature outside of Louisville so I stopped in the nearest gas station. I carry a Taurus slim 9 in my back pocket, and I took it out so as to not drop it in the toilet as I dropped my drawers, but when it's in place I don't even feel it there most times. The only place to put it was on a black plastic box that was away from the toilet. Black plastic gun on a black plastic box is not a good combination. When I got up I didn't have the visual or tactile reminders to retrieve the gun, so I left without it. As soon as I got on the entrance ramp next to the gas station, (<1 minute I'd guess since I was in a hurry), I realized that I didn't have my gun, but, unfortunately, there was nowhere to turn around for over 6 miles. By the time I traveled the 13 miles back to the store someone had found it and turned it in to the clerk who called the police. I felt like crap, but I waited for the police to arrive, explained what happened, apologized profusely, and showed them my HCP. The officer gave me my gun and I was on my way. I was lucky a kid didn't shoot their self with it, but I was also lucky someone didn't use the circumstance to justify stealing the gun from me.   As a former LEO I know of many times where other officers have walked out of the bathroom without their entire gun belt.

 39. Fighting Sheep Dog is excited to announce it's next "FSD Range Day", coming up on June 28th from noon-5pm at Windrock Shooting Range in Oliver Springs. This event is FREE to the general public! We'll supply ALL of the guns. We usually bring between 6-8 ARs decked outh with some of the hottest accessories (JP Silent Capture springs, TacCon trigger, various muzzle brakes (Primary Weapons Systems' CQB, Strike Industries Cookie Cutter, Black Rain Ordnance Miculek-style brake, etc), Gibbz side charging handle billet upper, a variety of buttstocks, etc). You'll receive a handout with the accessories in each gun so you know what you're shooting and can document what you like, don't like, etc. All we ask is that you don't bring your own ammo, but rather get it from Windrock Shooting Range. This allows us to control the quality of the ammo being shot through our barrels. Come prepared for an AWESOME time, shoot some really cool ARs, see what's possible, and discover some accessories you may want for your next build!

 42.   Perhaps read the full text of the rule.   Maintain a good fellowship with others. Members should treat each other as they would like to be treated themselves. Name calling, flame posts, racial slurs, and other insulting remarks meant to cause conflict will not be tolerated. You should always try to maintain good fellowship with the other members of this community and be respectful to your fellow shooting enthusiasts whether they are new shooters or seasoned veterans. Debate is welcome and encouraged, but you must always stick to attacking the issues rather than the person or profession. Personal attacks, and name calling, serve no purpose in the exchange and debate of good information. Keep in mind that in life there is no guarantee that others will agree with your thoughts or comments. You absolutely must try to handle disagreements, criticisms or opposing viewpoints with tact and maturity.       David let the Jade Helm thread go on a lot longer than I would have in his shoes.  I'm ex-military and I wasn't offended, just flabbergasted that the whole thing has taken root.    I get that there is health in debate on things, but you weren't debating.  As I saw it you were just tossing out random links with no independent research or additional commentary provided.  Not to mention the day that thread became a bunch of random music via YouTube videos I would have closed it down for irrelevancy.

 44. I will make sure to find me a knife fighting class before I use one for self defense. Matter of fact I don't think I have enough gun training to carry. After all being in the military, being in law enforcement as well as carrying a firearm for work in hostile environments probably isn't enough for your requirements. Personally the ONLY people who should not be allowed are those who have a proven VIOLENT history. I don't care if someone is a felon or bat#### crazy as long as they are not violent they should be able to use any means necessary, including fully automatic grenade launching machine guns, to protect themselves even if they do not have a single second of training. You, my friend, are the worst kind of gun owner. One that wants to limits other gun owners for their own reasons.

 45. Incrementalism works.   Over the last few years we've made great strides in getting our weapons laws headed in the right direction.  If we keep going, constitutional carry might very well happen.   TICS exemption for HCP holders should be, IMHO, next on the list for next year.
