  1.        Bill and Hillary are at a Yankees home game, sitting in the first row, with the Secret Service people directly behind them. One of the Secret Service guys leans forward and whispers something to Bill. At first, Clinton stares at the guy, looks at Hillary, looks back at the agent, and shakes his head "no". The agent then says, "Mr. President, it was a unanimous request of the entire team, from the owner of the team to the bat boy." Bill hesitates...but begins to change his mind when the agent tells him the fans would love it! Bill shrugs his shoulders and says, "Ho-Kay! If that is what the people want. C'mere Hilly baby..." With that, Bill gets up, grabs Hillary by her collar and the seat of her pants, lifts her up, and tosses her right over the wall onto the field. She gets up kicking, swearing, screaming, "Bill you"!$#@&!". The crowd goes absolutely wild. Fans are jumping up & down, cheering, hooting and hollering, and high-fiving. Bill is bowing, smiling and waving to the crowd. He leans over to the agent and says, "How about that; I would have never believed how much everyone would enjoy that!" Noticing the agent has gone totally pale, he asks what is wrong. The agent replies, "Sir, I said they want you to throw out the first "pitch."

  12. 2015 is officially the year of the AK for me. This year alone I have purchased two Century (CAI) "Iraqi Contractor" Romanian WASR 10's, a 2013 production Century (CAI) Romanian WASR 10, Century (CAI) Romanian RPK AES10B, + a Yugoslavian N-PAP DF. I have another Century (CAI) "Iraqi Contractor" Romanian WASR10 + a Century (CAI) Romanian Draco AK pistol en route to my FFL as I write this. As you can see, I am a fan of the weapon system through + through. At the present moment, I am debating the purchase of a Arsenal SLR107FR but I am stuck on if I should pick the variant with plum furniture or all black. Decisions, decisions! Without further ado, I present to you my humble selection of AK's. 14. Those of you whom are friends with me on Facebook already know but for the rest, On the first of May, I suffered a severe heart attack while working offshore in Brazil. This actually happened on my off time, as we work 12 hour shifts. I was getting in the shower and for the next 6 hours I was so bad off that I could not even use the phone in my cabin to call the medic.   They gave me an EKG on board and confirmed that I should be dead right now. Shell Got me a medical chopper immediately. The next thing I knew I was being taken into the ER, I called my wife with my cell and just got that info out before they needed to operate, This scared the crap out of her and me because I am in a third world country,   They put 2 stints on my right side and told me I needed another surgery for the left side. The translator app on my Galaxy phone has been pretty much the only way to communicate with them. The nurses do the same, my company paid for 6 nurses for me, they are lovely caring professionals. For the last 5 or 6 years, when I quit smoking oddly enough, I have had Hypertension after the first surgery my blood pressure was in the low medium range,   I just got done with the second surgery, the doctors tell me that I have the heart of a baby now, besides the language barrier and the fact that I am here without my family this is by far the best medical care I have ever had in my life.     I would greatly appreciate all of your prayers for my family during this, it has been hard on them I should get to come home in the next few days, and as crazy as this may sound I actually thank God for this as it almost certainly pro longed my life, I work for an awesome company and will be paid while I recooperate     Any way thanks for listening!

  21. I used to collect pipes and made a couple. back then you could get a kit at larger tabac stores. The best Briar comes from Sardinia, Italy. It sounds like you have all the equipment to make one. A couple of sharp knives will also be useful. Just try it out on some scrape wood first. And remember there are no two free hand pipes the same.

  22. I have tinnitus and other ear and hearing problems!  We shoot at an indoor range.  I understand the problems your wife has with the concussion from guns! I have the same problem. I hated having to shoot next to a lane with a .40 cal or larger or shooting our .357 mag.. I could feel every shot they fired or I fired from the .357.  I first had to use double ear protection.  I used Howard Leight MAX Lite Foam Ear Plugs Uncorded NRR 30 plus ear muffs. That worked great, but with my hearing problems I couldn't hear the people I was shooting with when they were trying to talk to me.  So I found Walkers EXT Range Shooting Folding Muffs.  I didn't need the ear plugs, but still couldn't hear anyone talking to me.  A friend suggested electronic ear muffs.  I tried and returned a few pairs. I finally found Howard Leight by Honeywell R-01902 Impact Pro Electronic Shooting Earmuffs.  They work perfectly.  I don't need to use ear plugs with them, and I don't feel the other guns on the range or the lager guns I am shooting, and I can hear other shooters conversations over 5 lanes away.      I may not help your wife's problems but it fixed mine!   http://www.amazon.com/Walkers-Range-Shooting-Folding-Muff/dp/B00AW5YFOK   http://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-R-01902-Electronic-Shooting-Earmuffs/dp/B007BGSI5U

  23.   Not exactly. The new law only cites athletic facilities/fields in use by a school. Unless Memphis in May is held on the baseball diamond, schools being there in an official capacity are irrelevant.

  26. I agree. I think that would help a lot with the 16" barrel. I've never used electronic ears so I don't know how effective they are.

  27. I have used a Noveske Pig in the past, and it worked excellent. Currently I have a Troy Claymore on my rifle & I'm loving it. Any linear comp should do exactly what you're needing it to do...

  28. Last time I was out I used just rubber plugs, gave all the muffs I had to the kids and the sound wasn't bad at all. We were at an outdoor range, indoors hasn't been tried with just plugs.

  30. It should help tremendously. Electronic muffs are awesome, but most don't really have the dB reduction "horsepower" for rifle shooting. Plugs + electronic ears give you the best of both worlds.

  31. Do you reload? If so a .300 is a great option I'm surprised hasn't been brought up. If you you reload and you should be able to make some subsonic rounds that will be easy on the ears even without a suppressor.

  35. Build or buy a 9mm carbine. Prices are really low on them right now. I recently seen a "kit" that had everything but the stripped lower for $550. That is what I did for my wife when she didn't like the concussion of a 223.   It is also a lot cheaper to shoot and a lot more reliable.

  42.     Funny thing, I have no clue, They are discharging me tomorrow, Ill be sent to a real nice Sheraton hotel I assume with the two private nurses my company hired for me,  I have heard i may have to stay anywhere from 3 to 16 days before i can fly. They are also sending a Doctor and Nurse to flly all the way to Nashville, Then I may have to be taken straight to Vanderbilt to see my new Cardiologist,   The nice thing about this is that my company spares no expense when it comes to my health and Happily they are picking up the tab for everything this may turn into   I am truly Blessed,

  43. Agreed.  Great ideas are a dime a dozen.  Executing on those ideas to make a sustainable business is really hard.   As an old quote - often attributed to Thomas Edison says, "Opportunity is often missed because it's dressed in overalls and looks like work."   Or, as Calvin Coolidge said, "Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."

  47. It's stories like this that make me realize how lucky I am to live in TN. Our gun laws are definitely not perfect, but they could clearly be worse. I hope this failed policy in MD was extremely costly for the state's taxpayers, because they elected the idiots that passed the law. Stupidity SHOULD be expensive.
