Discovery Announcement ~ The densest element in the known Universe has finally been found. Pelosium: A major research institution has just announced the discovery of the densest element yet known to science. The new element has been named Pelosium. Pelosium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 223 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 311. These particles are held together by dark forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. The symbol of Pelosium is PU. Pelosium's mass actually increases over time, as morons randomly interact with various elements in the atmosphere and become assistant deputy neutrons within the Pelosium molecule, leading to the formation of isodopes. This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to believe that Pelosium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity invoting concentration.9 points

47 years of marriage.. A married couple in their 60s are celebrating their 47th wedding anniversary in a quiet, romantic little restaurant in Florence, Italy. Suddenly, a tiny yet beautiful fairy appeared on their table. She said, 'For being such an exemplary married couple and for being loving to each other for all this time, I will grant you each a wish.' The wife answered, 'Oh, I want to travel around the world with my darling husband The husband thought for a moment: 'Well, this is all very romantic, but an opportunity like this will never come again. I'm sorry my love, but my wish is to have a wife 30 years younger than me.' The wife, and the fairy, were deeply disappointed, but a wish is a wish! So the fairy waved her magic wand and poof!... The husband became 92 years old. The moral of this story: Men who are ungrateful bas$tard$ should remember fairies are female..6 points

My first package showed up about a week ago or a lil more. It had four low budget knives in it and a bunch of stickers. I thought it a lil odd, as it seemed kinda random, but was Thankful for someone sending me a present. Well turns out Santa has a senze of humor. I came home from work this am to find another box. Santa ordered up some presents from Northern Crescent iron. As a blacksmith, I find this compaines work is incredibly impressive. The dice are gonna be carried as a conversation piece from time to time. The detail on the spike knife is stunning. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you Santa.4 points

... and it's not even about winning or loosing. Being a Titans QB this year has to be one of the most dangerous jobs in the lower 48. I really feel for Locker - I believe he could've had a very successful career with another team who could protect him. this year is likely to be the end of his career. shoot. darn, heck-fire.2 points

I bought this H1 in Oct. of 2008, turned it on, and it has been on ever since. Today I went to switch it to a different rifle and it was dead. After 6 years the battery finally died. 50,000+ hours. That's pretty good battery life if you ask me.2 points

Have you seen this? http://fox17.com/news/features/featured/stories/report-peyton-manning-could-buy-tennessee-titans-2015-3868.shtml Honestly, I have never wanted to like Peyton Manning because of the savior-image Vols fans have always projected on him. I moved to Tennessee in the height of Manning Fever and for some reason it just soured me. That said, you can't deny that the guy knows how to play the game and he's really matured as an NFL quarterback since leaving Indianapolis. I always liked to joke that his favorite position was the Fetal Position when he played for the Colts, because as soon as the defensive line crumbled he was quick to curl up rather than take a hit. But, this might be the thing that fixes the Titans. They do need a good house-cleaning from top to bottom and Peyton is a competitive player and savvy businessman. I think it will take him or someone like him to straighten the franchise out. The way it is right now, I'd be surprised if very many people keep their season tickets for 2015. The current Titans suck.2 points

"Reminded me of the first barbershop I visited as a kid in the atmosphere of men sitting around talking " ... Spots ... sigh ... oh for the days of the old fashioned barbershop. Barbers that had been in the same shop for years. Wood paneling with mounted fish on the walls. Barber chairs that were built like tanks. The magazines were 6 year old "Field & Streams". The old fellow over in the corner that could do a hell of a "Spit Shine" ... sigh ...2 points

What I've done with magazines with sleeves is to slide them up and put a piece of clear tape around the base then slide the sleeve back on. Nice snug fit and it doesn't move around.2 points

Bryant Gumbel interviewed Billy Graham's daughter after 911 attack. Gumbel: Why didn't God stop this or do something about this? Billy Graham's daughter: For years we have told God we didn't want Him in our schools. We didn't want Him in our government and we didn't want Him in our finances and God was being a perfect gentleman in doing just what we asked Him to do. We need to make up our mind- do we want God or do we not want Him. We cannot just ask Him in when disaster strikes. Bryant Gumbel was silent.2 points

I thought there was some creepy cracker taking my pic at the shop the other day. You're just jealous of my custom bad ass rig. Some people have to choose between the awesome stopping capability of the .45 and the inherent capacity advantage of the Glock. I call those people sheep. It was hard training my one hand to angle the Glock right while dual wielding, but I think anyone with some sense can agree the results are worth the effort.2 points

You know it is not corp. greed, its what the consumer wants! What drove people away from Kmart and Sears, or should I say what did Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot, and other similar big box stores do that attracted consumers away? Retailers have to have vision, and learn buying trends of us consumers. I bet Sears in its hey day sure put alot of mom and pop local hardwares out of business. The winner is the consumer, but the loser is the jobs. Even with my full convert to Walmart, I still use my smartphone to buy cheaper online each every time I find myself needing something from Walmart. Walmart itself is not immune, it needs to find away to compete with those online retailers too. What if Sears and Kmart had adopted the Amazon model years ago, and used the brick and mortar stores as display stores, it might even be making some Walmart stores close today. At some point, what am I going to do with my lifetime warranty on my $1000 and $1000 of Craftsman tools? I guess I need to get use to Kobalt tools at some point. Those Harbor Freight tools are one time use junk (but cheap :pleased: ).1 point

I am by NO means and expert, but I have been doing a lot of can shopping here lately and I will say this, I have not seen one with that rounded over end. That would make me speculate it is some type of custom made (maybe Form 1) or tieing it to the lower some type of Red Jacket one off type of deal. I will also offeryou this. If you want to use a can 10.5" is about as short as you want to go. I am not saying you can's use one on a shorter upper but everything I have found on the interwebz seems to state that they are much less effective. Most manufacturers will have a minimum barrel length listed for a given can.1 point

If you decide you're done hunting, i recommend that get naked as a jay bird, put a mask over your face, and go clean up the bait piles. Then just leave a note on the camera. "You're doing it wrong. Look at the pictures, and you can become a master baiter."1 point

When I was young I decided to go to Medical School. I have not found an ammo that my Should could not handle. While they are hard to come by, the 147gr Rangers may have been it's favorite. After experimenting I have found the best carrying mag is the flush fitting 7 round with a Pearce Extension and the 8 rounder as a backup with the sleeve removed. I could see that sleeve shifting and causing an issue during an emergency reload. Plus, this way I have eight and eight if I can remember to count in an exchange of gunfire. My next purchase may be a set of Ameriglo Pro iDot N/S. I handled a Shield with them installed and I was impressed.1 point

I have one and really like it. The Miculek is effective and loud...one of the reasons I got it. It's also considerably cheaper than other brakes of similar design...the other reason I bought it. There's no reason to spend a whole lot of money just to be obnoxious. :pleased:1 point

Mechanical devices can fail. If you follow the rules of gun safety it is nearly impossible to shoot someone. Switching off a safety on a loaded rifle while it is pointed at your son is reckless. Glock has been plagued with accusations that the gun went off without pulling the trigger for years. Did they recall them? No, they offered “upgradesâ€. I’ve seen many times those new to firearms posting that there is no such thing as a “accidental discharge†only “negligent discharges†and that a gun can’t discharge without pulling the trigger; that is what they have been told, and it is wrong. I sent my 700 in and they replaced the trigger and sent it back. Did it need it? Probably not, but it didn’t cost me anything so I had it done. My rifle isn’t loaded unless it’s pointed down range, and the trigger is excellent; so I didn’t want to pay $150 for a trigger I don’t need. Remington is trying to do what’s right. They are a great American Firearms Company that makes an excellent product. I wish them continued success.1 point
I won't break the law but I was looking into hunting for the food aspect -- one animal, for food only. Dead is dead and I see no difference between an efficent kill via bait vs trekking thru the woods for a month. It would not be a "sport" or "fun" for me, it would be a chore (and a brutal one at that) of gathering food. I can respect that others see it differently, and I have a very low opinion of lawbreaking, but the actual act does not seem "unethical" to me, it seems like a better method that has been banned to make a chore even more difficult. But you know me, always trying to apply logic.
I see your point, BUT....fair chase is LEGAL and BAITING is NOT! Decisions, decisions.... Dave S1 point
