  1. If it's on here I ask for a fair price and usually sell for about what I paid for it.  If it's on Gunbroker I set a min price and let fly. If it's on Armslist I ask what I think they're selling for. If it's at our Club it's 2x the list price and carrying charges since I had to carry it out there. If I'm buying at our Club it's 1/2 of what I think it's worth. If I sell it then I tell my wife I got double what I actually paid for it.

  2. Well, I tried some Google-Fu for you, hard to do when there isn't much to go by. So, instead I did what any self respecting CSI fan would do: I searched for all KFC in the area you spoke with, interpolated the area for all security/traffic cameras, downloaded all archived footage from them, viewed all video at once for the previous few hours today until I found the truck you were looking for, here you go: But that wasn't good enough. I took the image of the truck and then ran it through an algorithm for the previous 3 months video. At this point I was able to view times that the same truck had been to that KFC. I lucked out on one of them because I was able to zoom in on a passerby's Oakley sunglasses and then mirror the image horizontally. Passed that all I had to do was run some megapixel enhancement programs and then keep typing "enhance' on the keyboard. Sir Caster, I provide you with this: That's an image of the two workers as they ate their meal. Jose and Julio Almarez. DOB 6-21-1965 and 5-30-1980. SSN: 512-11-3910 for both of them. Ok, I kid I kid. I did try YellowPages.com for all in the Nashville area. http://www.yellowpages.com/search?search_terms=landscaping&geo_location_terms=nashville&s=name The closest that I may have found would be "A.L.S. Landscaping", but I really don't think that is it. http://alslandscapetn.com/ There is also "Alternative Engery" but I don't know if that's any better. Business Information: Alternative Engery LLC is managed by Edward Withrow, Owner, and employs jobs for approximately 10 people, with yearly revenues around $1,350,000.

  3. Medical distinction between Guts and Balls There is a medical distinction between Guts and Balls. We've all heard about people having Guts or Balls. But do you really know the difference between them?  In an effort to keep you informed, here are the definitions: GUTS - Is arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being met by your wife with a broom, and having the Guts to ask: 'Are you  still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere? BALLS - Is coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your  wife on the butt and having the Balls to say: 'You're next, Chubby.'  I hope this clears up any confusion on the definitions. Medically, speaking there is No difference in the outcome.  Both result in death.

  8. I go to Franklin Gun Store, look at the price of the new version at the counter then add 10% for the speed-slots I dremelled in the side.   At least that's the formula it seems many sellers use.

  9. There are underground zinc mines in and around the Carthage/ Gordonsville area, but I am unaware of the strip mines you speak of.   I understand the hole in the ozone layer acts as a natural vent to help regulate the Earth's temperature, expanding and contracting as needed.   You are correct in that Gore has spent his life making millions by perpetuating the myth of global warming, and positioning himself to profit quite nicely from the very predictable actions of fellow politicians.   He and his ilk are like a cancer to our society. They've never produced anything, and yet have made fortunes via government. I hope there's a cure before long.

  10. When I try to sell something, I automatically forget the tax and TICS I paid; that's just part of my loss. Then, depending on how many rounds I put through it, I usually start at $50-75 off what I paid. I don't like to move much off that, because that's quite a discount with no tax and TICS already. That's pretty much getting close to cost on a gun.   Now, on THIS board, lately it's gotten to where these "members" (choose your definition, lol) want Christmas presents. I don't know WHAT'S up with that. There have been several very fair priced items on here that haven't moved. I don't know if money's that tight, or just their pucker holes.   I've managed to get better prices on Facebook.

  11.   Not for 5 bucks :)   BTW... this is a very good knife that Walmart sells for a reasonable price. I own the stainless handle version that's more expensive. Ken onion IS a knife guy.   http://www.walmart.com/ip/CRKT-Ken-Onion-Aluminum-Ripple-Folding-EDC-Knife-with-IKBS/17217881

  17.   I listed a few items that received no interest on here, some knives and firearm related stuff that ended up selling for more than double what I'd asked here on other sites.    For used guns, I tend to go to Gunbroker and look the the 'sold' listings, then list whatever I have in that ballpark. Usually. Sometimes I just go with a gut feeling on what it would take for me to be happy letting go of an item.

  26. Moving along at a pretty good pace on this! Rough count at 36? In 5 days! As a non-knife guy who got into this recently, I can say that after looking at custom knives from big and small name knife-makers and several from big names from Blade magazine and the like; unless you have LOTS of money to spend--these Protech knives are some of the best out there. I got a chance to see the Runt while at Smokey Mountain Knife Works a couple of weeks ago, and it is a really nice pocket size knife. It's a good size without being too big, and easy to open and close. JMO, but it this had been the first TGO Knife, I believe more of us would have gone into the buy on it.

  27.   It wasn't that long ago that Colorado was pretty solid too. I remember envying Colorado's gun laws. They can carry on campus. They can open carry without a permit. And until very recently, there were no mag limits, etc. I'm sure plenty of folks in Colorado felt it would never happen there.    My only point is, don't assume it won't happen to you and go to sleep at the wheel. The anti-gunners don't know the meaning of the word "rest."

  28.   That's an incredible price on the QC! Good deal!   My larger trauma kit does have airway and IV gear in it. I'm very fortunate that the majority of my training and shooting buds are Paramedics and ER physicians...kinda handy you know?  :pleased:    So I agree that having some "advanced" gear on hand for someone with a higher skill level is actually quite prudent.

  31.   No. Brace is discrete product. Anything else is bundled as a kit by the retailer, whether SIG or others.   People use a variety of buffer tubes with them. Have even seen a few with rifle tubes, though you have to use a round or two of tape to build up diameter of tube a little.   - OS

  34. Doctors office visit!!!! Yesterday I had an appointment to see the urologist for a prostate exam. Of course I was a bit on edge because all my friends have either gone under the knife or had those pellets implanted.   The waiting room was filled with patients. As I approached the receptionist's desk, I noticed that the receptionist was a large unfriendly woman who looked like a Sumo wrestler. I gave her my name.    In a very loud voice, the receptionist said, "YES, I HAVE YOUR NAME HERE; YOU WANT TO SEE THE DOCTOR ABOUT IMPOTENCE, RIGHT?"    All the patients in the waiting room snapped their heads around to look at me, a now very embarrassed man.   But as usual, I recovered quickly, and in an equally loud voice replied, “NO, I'VE COME TO INQUIRE ABOUT A SEX CHANGE OPERATION, BUT I DON'T WANT THE SAME DOCTOR THAT DID YOURS.”     The room erupted in applause!  DON'T MESS WITH OLD RETIRED GUY!!!!      Yea I am an old retired guy!!!!!!!

  36. I think its a long term marketing strategy.  Who would have bought the G42 in 380 if the 9mm came out first?  Not as many that already has bought one.  But now when the 9mm version comes out, how many will still buy the 9mm and have the 380?  Quite smart I think.

  37. Telling a, yet to be named, person you will do everything in your power to get them fired is not a threat. Just as it is the employee's right to be an ass it is Caster's right to complain about that disrespectful employee, I know I do all the time and if the employee gets fired then he probably deserved it. That employee represents the company and I am sure his boss, or business owner, would love to hear about how that employee drove away a potential customer with his disrespectful actions.   Caster did not threaten anyone on this board from what I can tell. Now if the disrespectful person is a member here he can contact me about the perceived "threat" and I will take the appropriate action. But he will not get a single ounce of concern from me if he finds himself, hopefully, looking for a new job.   I am sick and tired of people not having the most basic respect for others. Seems like a lot think they are entitled to be an ass and they are but it is also my right to do everything in my power to teach them that being a disrespectful ass does not get them far in life. And I used to stand by, not complain or get involved but not anymore because those disrespectful, entitlement crowd types now think they can do it to everyone. I will no longer tolerate being disrespected by anyone else that I have not disrespected. If an employee looks at me wrong, makes a comment I don't like or treats me with anything but the respect I deserve as a human being I will contact every person between them and God to complain about them. And if they get fired as part of it so be it, maybe they will think twice before being disrespectful towards the next person.
